Ever since the most recent YouTube update (5.0.21), any time I try to open a link to a video (might be all FLV videos) in Facebook Chat, whether it's the actual Facebook app or Messenger, it doesn't work.
It tries to open in Gallery, and gives me a "Can't play this video" error.I've tried different ROMs, different kernels, etc... with the same results.

Ok, so I have a XML layout with a TimePicker, few buttons and what not and a ScrollView because it's needed.
When I run the app the app doesn't scroll. On top of that the TimePicker doesn't scroll either. Well it does but correctly. It takes 6/7 swipes to move from 6 to 7. When I remove the ScrollView the TimePicker works fine and when I remove the TimePicker the layout can scroll.
Is there a way I can get them both to work in the XML?
My code is pretty basic so I don't think I need to post it but let me know if you want to see it.
I've tried fillViewPort and using nested layouts but nothing works. This effectively makes my app useless.

When i press the browser he opens a link from m.facebook to m.youtube and i dont want that...it will be better if facebook app let me choose between orig.browser,opera,skyfire and most important for me "youtube" app....
I have try another app named 3d flower facebook (is just like old facebook app but there are so much things missing) that do excactly that....

I've had this problem ever since installed then uninstalled avast and the antitheft bit that sometimes youtube won't play videos.The app shows the videos available and I can search but when you click to play all you get is the spinning circle.
It doesn't happen often and a restart of phone always fixed it before but now that's not working.Cleared cache etc but nothings working. What can cause this and how to sort it?
Its a stock rooted gb rom and only happened when avasts hidden app didn't uninstall after getting superuser rights and I had to freeze the hidden app then uninstall it with titanium backup. It did say (avast) something about doing something to nand.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen playing music with the stock Music Player application on my phone and turning the phone screen off or multitasking, the music is still able to play in the background. Is it possible to do the same with the stock YouTube app? I want to let the audio of the YouTube video I am watching to keep playing when I either exit out of the app or when I press the power button on my phone to turn off the screen to save battery. Although I can just set my phone screen to not go off when idle for a certain amount of time, but then again, that is battery consuming.

View 9 Replies View RelatedAnyone else getting random reboots while playing youtube/flash? at first i thought it was the youtube app but then it happened in the mobile youtube site, then again through another non-youtube embedded flash video played in a website. it just reboots the phone instantly.
there's no way to replicate this as of yet. sometimes i can play a whole video fine but i would say 5-10% of the time it'll reboot randomly. it doesn't happen when playing a video file with Gallery or Rock Player though.
This is with 3.4.0.1. I don't recall having this issue with the prior versions of Fresh. I've done a complete wipe to fix a battery drain issue and the problem has carried over.

My approach is to copy the stream link and paste it in my code, then, there are sometimes success to work(play) on Android and sometimes will not. I can't figure out why? Is something wrong about Youtube server? Because my code is just the same, and only change is the stream link URL. i have a HTC Evo updated to 2.2, when i go on Facebook using my phone i'm not able to play the video's people post links to, it tries to start the video but then it says: Cannot play video, sorry, this video cannot be played.

View 7 Replies View RelatedUsing the Facebook app, some music artists post videos of concert footage etc. When I click on the video to watch it, my Incredible will ask me if I want to use Internet or YouTube to watch it. Unfortunately neither works for me.
When I choose Internet, YouTube's website pops up with the video and a play button. When I click the play button it does nothing. When I choose to open it via the YouTube app, I get an error saying that it can't play the file.
Is there a way to watch embedded YouTube videos that people post on Facebook via the app?
Everytime I search for a music vid on youtube, it only results with live performances, not an actual music video, even when I type in "official music video" I get random and live results of stuff that has nothing to do with what I searched for. Also when I go directly to the site, it asks to view vids with the browser, but nothing happens becauuse of flash player. When I first got my droid, the internet worked great, now its slower than dial up. And face book problems suck so bad I have to type in facebook.com everytime, even then, it keeps directing me to touch, and mobile. I know some of you are having sim problems with facebook, actual help would be great, I don't know how to disable viewing in mobile only.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just got my HTC Desire today, and have been learning how it works etc, but I just tried to do a google search, use youtube and sign into facebook using the facebook app and widget, and nothing will work. I can use FriendStream fine.. I updated my facebook status with it and it's showing updates as they happen. I'm using my home wifi and the phone says it's connected with signal strength 'good'. Can anyone explain what the problem might be? I haven't tried 3g yet, if that matters at all. (not entirely sure how I'd switch to it for testing purposes other than going outside out of wifi range)

And also through the browser I go to click on a youtube vid and it never loads. Nothing happens. I have to copy and paste the link in the youtube app....its kind of a drag.
Is anyone else experiencing these issues? Is there a fix? Or am I just going to have to suck it up?
I have youtube connected to facebook and twitter via a google account. if a video is uploaded using the Android youtube application, shouldn't it automatically post to facebook and twitter, too? (or is that just for youtube in a browser?
