I'm having x10 2.3.3 rooted. and until recently I was able to download from the android market with no problem. But now when I click "download" it show downloading and than it says "can't download due to an Error" but it only happen in 3g mode or GSM. When in Wi-Fi it download normally.

I have the Modaco latest ROM. Its been perfectly fine since I installed it over a month ago, but recently my memory card corrupted and now I cannot download any apps off the market.I had an ext2 partition, so I reformatted my memory stick the exact same way it was before it corrupted. Even so, whenever I try to download items from the market they just get stuck on "Starting Download".I literally cannot download ANY apps

After looking into this it became apparent that the PHP Magic, that handles the downloads from the website, recognises the file as a .zip file rather then a .apk file and sends the it a .zip, that the phone does not recognise.
Does anyone know a way to get PHP Magic to recognise the file as an apk so that file extension does not get changed and the phone can recognise it?
I have the D-800 AT&T LG G2, It was rooted with KitKat 4.4.2. After I rooted my phone, I tried several different ways to install TWRP onto it. I tried FreeGee, adb shell, and straight from TWRP App, nothing worked, because when I tried to boot into TWRP it would just come up with the LG Logo and "Secure Boot Error" and "Certification Error" or something like that, then be a blank screen. I then just held the power button to turn it off, and it would turn back on and run fine, no problem. I figured it never installed right, and so I left TWRP alone. I know you are not supposed to take an OTA after install TWRP, but thinking TWRP never installed on the phone, I took the OTA, and now it will do the "Error" messages and blank screen, but my power off, power on trick doesn't work anymore. I can boot into Recovery Mode, but when I do a Factory Reset, the screen just goes blank. I have tried to put it into Download Mode by pressing Volume Up + Power when hooked up to a PC, but nothing happens. I feel as though its a tough brick.

When i get a notice to download a system update, and try to do it, it reboots to twrp recovery that i installed. Not sure what to do at this point or should i just not worry about the updates. Also, my phone doesn't recognize a usb connection when i hook it to my computer.

One could then simply hit the Update All (for the group) button and it would update ONLY the apps that were auto update enabled. Over the past few months Play Store has changed their behavior in that it no longer separates the apps and will only enable auto updates for everything or nothing.
How can I hide or otherwise prevent these few apps that I do not want to update from being in the play store update list? As it is now, I have to selectively update each individual app from the list, skipping the few apps I do not want updated.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to update an application from android market. Every time I try to update.. Android Market app downloads the apk and then say something like "Application can't be installed because of some application signing issue".
Where are the apk's downloaded before isntalled? Can I copy the apk before i get the error message?
I just installed CM7 on my Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5839i. Everything is working fine except downloading apps, every time I try I get the error "App could not be downloaded due to an error (429)".
I tried this fix:
1. adb shell
2. su
3. mkdir /cache/download
4. chown system:cache /cache/download
5. chmod ug+rwx /cache/download
6. chmod a+x /cache/download
But ADB tells me that the filesystem is read-only when I try to make the download directory in cache.

I have de wall charger and the USB Cable, they're both original, and because of LOW Battery is always flashing red as well, after a long time the LED turns green (FlashMode) but is Useless, PC Companion does not install the firmware freezes and then tells me tha sony motor etc failed, Update Service Fails too, says to check if the battery is charged what obviusly isn't, tried flashtool but it always get stuch on some part, maybe its the .ftf tha is corrupted, i don't what place should i downloade FTF's, i downloaded those from sites.

I installed an app yesterday, (appbrain web downloader) but couldn't get appbrain app to download, so I uninstalled the appbrain web app. Today I tried to update a couple apps, and niether would update- either I got a message that said download paused, with no way to re start, our it would just show it as downloading, but not making any progress. I tried to install another app off the market, just to see, and out wouldn't install either....

Clearing market updater
Rebooting phone
Removing battery and re starting phone
going to titanium backup and wiping market data
i am not able enter flash mode in my X10i device i wanted to flash kernel.
I followed all the procedure:
1) by holding back button & plugged in USB cable.
2) my phone got recognized in the flash tool. Got a message stating "Device connected in flash mode"
3) then my device did not stay much longer in flash mode (less then 10 sec). After that it automatically booted to phone charging screen.

I am using the Amron_RA recovery.
I didn't do anything else but what the video's told me to do.
Now when I try to go into the android market, it tries to load for a while then tell me there is a network error. I synced all my contacts and can make calls and use internet. Just not the market.
It's working now. I'm not sure why. I've been sitting on this for over an hour waiting and rebooting. I didn't want to jump the gun and post and then have to say "hey, it works now" but it works now.
So you really just browse to Unlocker in your phone, download that file, run it, and you're rooted? It just cannot be that easy. Going to attempt it tomorrow. Nothing else to download? Nothing else to do? It just cannot be that easy. I got my Hero for $100 from a guy at Craigslist because he updated to an Evo so that he could use it as a router. Perfect condition and screen. Moving on from Windows Deadbile. On 10/1 I get to add Android to my Hero But I found I can use the marketplace and do everything but place calls without the phone being activated so I'm going to play with it Wed and Thurs (and I get my Otterbox Defender Wed)

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I rooted both mine and my wife's phone to Ivan's 1.0 (2.1 with OC). Her Market works totally fine. It's fast and loads everything and all tabs are there. Mine was sort of working at first, now it's completely come to a halt. The "top paid" tab is missing (when does finally load), most of the time it just gets stuck on "loading". I've tried clearing cache, doing a factory reset, reflashing the ROM, using the market fix (that puts the "top paid" tab back, but doesn't fix the slowless). It's just seriously broken.
Again, I've flashed the exact same ROM on mine and my wife's Eris, and hers works totally fine. I've searched for this issue on google and it seems this is a common problem, but no one has found a solution that works for me. I've tried them all, and none of them work. If I would have known rooting was going to break something so basic I possibly wouldn't have done it.
I just rooted my phone finally. im trying to install themes and im not really sure how to ether so if someone could help with that also...but i went to go d/l a app and when i click install i get a force close every single time.
