General :: Can't Get To Any Other App To Download Launcher / Keyboard
Jan 27, 2014I uninstalled the stock launcher and was using holo launcher..I also uninstalled the stock keyboard and was using swiftkey.. And last I also uninstalled the stock file manager. Now my wife factory reset the phone and I don't have a launcher or keyboard or a file manger. The only place I can go to,is settings .. I can't get to any other app to download a launcher or keyboard ..I can get to the Google play store but I can't put my account since I don't have a keyboard.. I can't put an launcher apk on my SD card BC I don't have a file manger to get to the file and install it..I don't have root Or costume recovery.

Apr 27, 2013I commute to school underground with no service for roughly 1.5 hours. During that time, I like to watch youtube videos. Besides TubeMate, is there any Android app (or any method on Android) to download youtube videos AUTOMATICALLY? I want to have the videos download while I sleep so it is available to me when I wake up and get ready. Right now I manually download some videos using TubeMate (when I remember).
I did have another setup using "youtube-dl" program on linux and setting up a cron job to download the latest video from a channel. I would then upload this to dropbox and then redownload it on my Android using FolderSync app.
Any better way to auto download new videos from youtube channels. I have a Galaxy S3.

Jun 13, 2013I have a Galaxy S III [International Version] and I'm running Paranoid Android [Based on CM 10.1]
I have busybox installed as well as root access.
I want to change the font of the Stock Android 4.2.2 keyboard and the default bold font of all the widgets on the launcher homescreen.
I have no clue which font maps to which so I simply went to Font Installer's preferences menu and selected any font with a "-bold" suffix to be replaced. All I ended up with was a boot loop.
Or is there something in addition to this that I should be doing before attempting a reboot? And what font am I actually supposed to change?

Nov 15, 2013So I have my T-Mobile Galaxy S4 running an unofficial CM11 ROM, and I noticed that battery life seems a little whack, and well Google Keyboard happened to be 2nd place for battery use, and has already downloaded almost 500mb, heck probably 502mb right now. I find that quite insane, and it just keeps going. I feel like this is also the reason why my phone is constantly overly warm. SGH-M919

Jan 22, 2013My samsung galaxy S3 is brand new and it wont download apps from the play store it gets to about 30% and then it stops everytime. if i connect to the wifi it works np, the wierd thing is it will let me update my apps on the mobile network but not download a new one. I have tried updating the phone, factory reset, stopping framework and removing google id and restarting the phone. I also tried putting my sim card in another Samsung Galaxy S3 but it still wouldn't download i then tried calling virgin and getting them to send me the apn details which i then installed but this was unsuccessful, so i went to the virgin store and they told me to get a new sim card, so i did but still it dosent work!!!

They all seem to say that I need to press Power+Volume Down+Home and, when the warning screen appears, press Volume Up. Well, I hold down Power+Volume Down+Home (I check a video to make extra sure I was holding down the correct buttons) and all that the device ever does is continually display the initial splash screen, the reboot again. If I let go, the device goes into "manual mode" in which it prompts to reboot, update the device or factory reset it. Am I missing something?

After I tried some custom roms. But in the end I used my CWM Backup file to restore my original rom. But the damn thing just doesn't wanna connect to kies any more. Now I wan't to reflash it's stock firmware with Odin and I'm using a nokia cable (i know that I should use the real thing but it isn't sold in my country + in the begining I didn't have any trouble with the cable and my father flashed an android 4.0.4 on his Samsung Galaxy Nexus using this same cable). So when i put my phone in download mode and connected it gives me unknown usb device. I downloaded the drivers installed them tried again, but the damn thing just doesn't associate with them.
Than I showed it the proper drivers manually ( you know device manager-->update driver-->sellect driver; you get the picture) and still nothing. And i really use Kies and want to fix the problem. What should I do.

May 31, 2014I tried to do a cyanogenmod update, but something went wrong and now I can't boot into android. I've tried going back into the recovery mode to reflash the rom, but it freezes there. I've also tried flashing clockworkmod recovery through ODIN and download mode, but the download back never moves at all, so I'm not sure if I can't use download mode or if it's just that ODIN isn't doing anything.

General :: Download Folder Refresh After Phone Reset (galaxy Nexus)
Jun 30, 2012After doing a phone reset back to stock, (Galaxy Nexus 4.0.4) I copied back all my previous saved items from the "Downloads" folder (I had copied the Downloads folder to my PC) and copied them back to the phone.
Now when I open the "Downloads" app it doesn't show anything there. I had documents, pdfs, jpeg, etc.
NEW downloads from market, etc do appear, but nothing else. How do I get the system to refresh the contents of that folder? I've tried Settings, Media, Clear, but that doesn't do anything.
It's almost as if the phone recognizes timestamps of the day of the refresh, but anything earlier is not recognized.

General :: MK802 Mini PC - Disable Soft Keyboard Hiding With USB Keyboard Available?
Jun 22, 2012I'm using an MK802 mini PC. I don't have a USB keyboard yet.
When I plug in a wired USB mouse, I can use that to click on the on screen soft keyboard.
But when I plug in the wireless dongle for a USB mouse, the Android soft keyboard doesn't show anymore (I guess this is because the wireless dongle supports both keyboard and mouse, and tells Android a hardware keyboard is available, so Android doesn't show the soft keyboard).
Any way to ignore this and always show the soft keyboard? Or another keyboard I can download which will always show?
