It's odin. and after reboots, I noticed that I am unable to type out any words without getting 'null'.
I just found that I need to flash csc file with mobile odin. But I am unable to purchase mobile odin. And how do you flash csc file?

I just bought a unlocked galaxy note and I had to to get my access point names right so I could use my data form AT&T. I'm ready to rooted my phone and flash a ics firmware (rom) on my samsung galaxy note N-7000. when I flash, will my access point names be ok. I've already went ahead and copy on paper the way they are now so I wont lose them.
P.S. Your access point names are how you get your data from your cell phone provider such as at&t, sprint, boost mobile, etc etc. It has nothing to do with your wi-fi.
i load apk into external sd card, and went into my files, select the apk file and run it. successful after that ! restart the phone and the yellow triangle still there ! went in to download mode -> binary counter still 4 counts
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been through pages of forum posts about shutting off automatically updating aps and almost all seem to suggest rooting. I know nothing about such things and really don't feel like risking my phone, new Galaxy Note, to my ineptitude. I've read and re-read the manual too. Yes, I'm sure the answer is probably on here but I couldn't find it, or maybe it went over my head. The problem is I've been watching my data usage and tracked down the extraordinary usage to a slew of aps, all undeleteable and pre-installed by AT&T/Google. I don't want to delete the programs because I may want them at some point, but they're running and updating in the background and using megs. I shut them off within a setting menu and many of them came back later. Most of these aps are things I never even opened. Is there any way to keep these aps from running until *I* want them to?

I have a galaxy note i717 and it was unplugged while an automated unrooting program (kingo android root) was running. Now the phone is stuck at the "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue" screen, and Kies won't connect to the phone.
Is there anything I can do to get the phone working again?
I just purchased an Apple magic keyboard and have paired it with my Galaxy Note 2 device. way to get some of the function keys (such as the volume up and down or the play/pause buttons) to work with my Android device. Also, is there anyway to make the escape key or another button go to the home screen or even open a specific app?

But in some programs I use (e.g. Tasker / Jotro) the swype keyboard pops up when I click a text field (as it should), but if I'm done, sometimes it shows a "done" button on the swype keyboard itself (and when I click on that, the swype keyboard dissappears), but sometimes, there isn't a done key on the keyboard (only an enter key which gives a new line in the text field I'm editing) and I can't scroll in the program to the save/done button in the program itself to save what I just typed. Does someone know whether there is a quick way to get rid of the Swype keyboard after I finished typing?
My (frustrating workaround) is to go to Swype options, press back, and the swype keyboard is gone.
I have a Huawei Honor U8860, which is rooted and running Miui 3.1.11. I experience an annoying problem with the keyboard. Here is what happens.
Any time I am entering text, whether i'm texting, facebooking, emailing, navigating, googling, etc, the standard android keyboard disappears while i'm typing. It's very random and not consistent. Sometimes I can type normal and sometimes only 10secs before it happens. Then I'll have to wait to get the keyboard reappear. After the keyboard reappears it may stay up for 10 sec before it disappear again.
I have tried installing Touchpal Keyboard. It works fine in the beginning, but after a while the problem come back and the keyboard disappears.
I'm using z2 keyboard and when I flash a new rom then the "learned" typing behaviour get's lost + learned words...
i bet there is a way to keep it, i just need to know where the files are located..
Can I delete all evidence of me rooting my Note 2? I've been having problems of my phone not charging anymore, or connecting to the computer. I charged the battery at my friend's now and I got it connected to my computer. Can I unroot it so that they won't notice? Wipe everything.
EDIT: It's the international Note2 GT 7100, I believe. I used Odin to root it and just installed a firewall and another app that uses root. I think I didn't use any ROMs.

EDIT3: I'm having trouble connecting my phone to my computer, it doesn't detect it ! can't get my stock firmware on it.
EDIT4: I am not being able to connect it to my computer anymore, it's not detected. Did the rooting mess my phone up??? How can I unroot it without a usb connection, to be able to claim warranty
Is there a way for me to shrink the size of the keyboard that appears when I'm typing text? Often, I'll be composing a message to a board like this one, and the text I'm typing will be invisible because the keyboard is taking up over half the screen.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am an android user, using sony xperia z with 4.3. I have problem about the google voice (GV for now) and keyboard, im not the same as everybody with missing GVT or wanting to disable it, i actually like it a lot, especially because it support my language (not english).
using voice input is easy:
1. i press the GV icon
2. i talk
3. text coming out, there will be miss typed/heard sentences
4. you know, if the system doubt your speech and want to correct it, you just tap the word with grey underline,it indicating that it have multiple option
5. then you choose the correct sentences
My step number 4 is a problem, because the correction that pop up to correcting/delete sentences is being blocked by keyboard, that is why i say it also a keyboard problem. so i cannot choose anything from it. and i have this problem since 4.2.2, the first day i upgraded it to 4.3 is okay, but suddenly it happen again. i don't think i will resetting or formatting because i have a lot of app and chat history that i cannot delete.

I want to install/use s4 or note 2 keyboard into s3 (Liquid smooth rom).
I downloaded 3-4 keyboards, flashed with recovery mode, but keyboard not working.
I also installed s4 stock SamsungIME.apk, its failed to install, i moved to system/app, but not worked.
liquid smooth is 3-4 faster then official s3 jelly bean.
but s4 white keyboard is really amazing.

My completely stock GS3 Mini (i8190) running 4.1.1. Jelly Bean experiences a lot of lag while typing.
Specifically, when I am using Whatsapp along with the SwiftKey keyboard. The keyboard responds slowly to my touches and I often have to slow down/stop completely in order for it to catch up with what I have been typing. This usually results in quite a few errors, and makes typing difficult.
I've noticed that outside whatsapp, Swiftkey works very well, with no lag at all. This includes in the browser, Gtalk, and Go SMS Pro. Weirdly enough, typing in whatsapp is easy enough when I use Swype or the Default Keyboard.
It's only the whatsapp + Swiftkey combination that seems to break everything. Ironically, this is what I intend to use my device for most of the time.
What can I do to diagnoze / fix this?
I rooted my galaxy note 2 and updated it to 4.2.2. The problem is I cannot get connected to the internet to download any application from Google Store. I am a first time user and not very familiar with android. My model is GT-N7100 and presently working in Saudi Arabia.

View 2 Replies View RelatedNever had any problems, but just today, my phone just shut off. When it shut off, it kept vibrating, just small pulses over and over until I took the battery out. When it shut off, it had 100% battery, so I put the battery back in hoping it would turn back on. The samsung logo/boot screen came up, then it just shut off. It does this repeatedly. I tried putting it into recovery so I can reset it, but it doesn't boot into recovery or download mode.
Strange things: Whenever I hold down the volume down key, it does the vibrating pulse thing until i take my finger off it. And when it's on the charger, it does the vibrating thing the whole time until I unplug it, even if the battery isn't in it.
