View 1 RepliesI have huawei x6 with miui 2.4.13 rom but im just watch my phone wake itself without touched , or something that make allert like sms , phone , mail etc. It wakes again after turn of automatically 3 - 5 times.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi9100 4.0.3 korean official rom had been used for 1 year.
turned off every sensor, turn of flight mode.overnight 10% ~15% battery loss.
most of the power is consumed by Android OS. other apps combined doesn't seem much.the reason is that it is frequently awaken.
i don't know why the Android OS is awaken that often. there must be some hidden app who caused this.
how can i find out who is responsible for waking up Android OS?
i'm trying to optimise the battery comsumtion on my galaxy s2.From the battery panel i can see my phone is regularly woken up from power saving standby. Is there any way to identify what apps are responsible for waking up the phone?
View 2 Replies View Relatedit's very difficult to wake the screen back up because of all the power saving things that go into effect when you turn the screen "off" using brightness = 0;Let me first point out that I'm not really tied to power constraints in this particular application. One of my assumptions is that this device (Droid) will be plugged in when this application is run. Ideally, I'd like to not hammer the battery if I don't have to, but I'm open to it if it's the only way.So, back to the issue when the display is off, pretty much everything shuts down. For instance, one idea I had was to shake the display back awake by reading the accelerometer. However, as soon as the display goes off, my listener that was reading values from the accelerometer (be it in an activity or a service) stops echoing values.I can't register any key listeners because when the display is off, if I press anything other than the unlock button (e.g. volume up/down, camera button, etc.)
In short, it appears that once the display goes dark, the only way to interact with the user is by hitting the "unlock" button. This isn't ideal because it's awkwardly placed.I had *really* hoped to be able to re-activate the device by pressing anywhere on the touch screen.I can understand that the touch screen is disabled for power reasons, but I was hoping I could override that(given I don't mind the power draw).Failing at that, I'd settle for any of the accessible keys (even the keyboard) reacting to user input and waking the thing up.
I woke up at 11 AM this morning and my phone did NOT wake up tocook breakfast for my mom.I set it for 8:15 AM and it didn't even wake up.Is anyone elses phone not cooking Mother's Day breakfast when prompted?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm curious if anyone has noticed the phone and/or screen waking up during charging. It's not a full "wakeup" as if I hit the power button. But rather the 20 seconds or so that it comes on when you put the phone on or take it off the charger. I've got the battery status widget and I've noticed that it happens everytime at either 95% or 96% status. No other % and only once.I though maybe my charger had an intermittent short, but I'm off for the holiday weekend and noticed it for the third time in the last two days all while sitting perfectly still with no one near it.Just wondered if anyone else has noticed it waking up while charging for no apparent reason...
View 20 Replies View RelatedI know, given the multitude of apps and setups that could be causing this, but hopefully someone can help. Sometimes my phone just won't come back up at all. Lock and power buttons do nothing and it needs me to pop the battery to get it back.I don't want to push anyone down this line, but I get the feeling it's related to being in the stock case?Any ideas, it's been happening a couple of times a day for the past few days now?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure if this is worth complaining about but is anybody else experiencing their phone waking up on its own while it's connected to the charger? I'm not sure when it started exactly but I'm sure it was after I updated to OTA 2.2.It's not hot or does anything else just that the screen turns on, stays on for like 2 seconds, and than the screen turns off. It seems to occur randomly. Is anybody else having this issue?
View 11 Replies View Relatedi have an activity that crashes randomly after the device resume from a long period of sleep, the activity is forced to be landscape mode only. When the device resumes from sleep, the activity seems to be redrawing itself in portrait mode, occupying half the horizontal view, then have to force close it.
View 2 Replies View Relatedso i rooted my phone with oneclick lag fix. and it was fine and i installed the 3 apps set cpu etc etc...then when my phone sleeps for a while it wont wake up...i read around through it was setcpu, so i uninstalled that...and it happens again...can anyone help? asfor now im unrooted the phone with the unroot function in the OCLF
View 2 Replies View RelatedWith my Storm, I could wake up my phone by pushing on the screen. Does the X do this, or do you need a special app for it? Touching the screen to wake it up is much easier than trying to push the small home button.
View 15 Replies View RelatedNothing blocking the sensor sometimes I cant end a call because the phone wont wake up! I click everything, slide everything sometimes just sometimes It will wake up if I push the little button up top. Major bummer when leaving a voice message. Anyone else have trouble ending phone calls or the thing going into some deep sleep?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWas wondering if there is a way to eliminate the slide unlock after you hit the power button to wake the phone.I think it is a extra pain in the but step.I never hit the power button to wake it on accident.Any root aps or anything? I haven't found any yet myself.
View 4 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know how to do this correctly? I can't find any examples & the API documentation is pretty hard to follow.I am guessing I need to use the KeyGuardManager and PowerManager... but can't figure out how to bring my activity up past the keyguard and re-enable the keyguard so my activity doesn't let someone get past the lock when my activity awakens.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI don't know if this is a common problem with the Behold 2 or not, but my phone isn't automatically reconnecting to wifi after waking up from sleep.I have to manually toggle the wifi switch to off and then back on for it to reconnect.I'm using Warheads Rom with new kernal if that helps at all.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI would gladly pay money (and i'm sure a lot of eris -> incredible users would too) for an app/patch to give me the option to use an alternative key/button (menu/home button, or even vol rocker?) to wake up the phone when it's in sleep mode. It was one of the major reasons why I ended up returning the moto droid for an eris (the eris has a power button on the bottom of the phone). Would root be required for this kind of mod?
View 1 Replies View RelatedAny one know a better why to wake the HTC incredible up, then hitting power button?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI can't be 100% sure which one it is. But I installed Nonsensikal 13.2 about a week ago, love it, and was about to basically settle on this as my default rom until Saturday. Starting Saturday my phone has become non-responsive about 5-6 times. Meanin the lock screen won't come on, and the power button will not turn the phone on or off.I'm assuming this means that the phone is still on when this happens, because if it had just powered down randomly I'd think the power button would turn the phone back on I have to pull the battery out and power it back on to start working again. I don't have setcpu or autokiller running, but I am running juicedefender (in case any of that is helpful for anybody.)
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have this really annoying problem that I've seen mentioned here but I can't find a specific thread on the subject. This first started happening after the December update. When I push the end button to "turn on" the phone (i.e., wake the phone up), I get a black screen with the HTC symbol monentarily. Then, once that goes away, my background appears but nothing else except the waiting icon. I've been told that this is a conflict between something I have installed and the Sense UI.
View 29 Replies View RelatedI have an activity that I want to show up when the phone goes to sleep. However, the phone wakes up when I press the volume buttons or the camera button.
I tried using the dispatchKeyEvent(KeyEvent event) method, but it doesn't prevent the phone from waking up.
How else can I disable that functionality?
I picked up the Sprint HTC Evo. This is my first android phone and it's a big upgrade from the windows based HTC Touch Pro that I used to put up with. However, every single notification makes a massive, loud, Beep And I can't figure out how to turn the volume down on it, except to put the phone in vibrate mode. Windows had two volumes: one for system, and one for the ringer. That made a lot of sense.
I think my co-workers are going to get really angry with me if I don't figure this out soon. At first, it was just text messages, but now it's facebook and everything else. Can someone please tell me how to shut up this dumb robot?
I'm not sure what info I need to give you about this, but it's the launch version of the Evo, I did not change anything related to this problem - still using the default applications and such.
Basically I have an old iPod touch 2g on iOS 4.x and a Nexus 5.
I want to use my iPod as my media player but I'd like to be able to control music from my Nexus (only basic controls).
Is there an app on either device that allows this? I know tsk skipping can be done by some Bluetooth headphones so I'm hoping there's a way to make iOS accept command from my Nexus
I have 3 Galaxy Player 5 ( YP-G70 with 3 capacitive buttons ), only one of the actually have a working rom that i flashed a while ago.
The other two have a different rom that only have the back and menu button working ( the home button doesn't respond )
Is there a way for me to take the Rom and kernel off the working galaxy player so i can install it into the other two ?
I apologize if these topics were already covered in previous threads.I wasn't able to find anything related in my searches. Auto-rotation for keyboard when answering a text message received in sleep mode does not work. If I actively send a text when phone is already awake, keyboard rotates with no problem but when I go to reply to a text that I received while phone is in sleep mode, the keyboard does not rotate. Is this the norm?I am also experiencing a delay when the I wake the phone. After unlocking the phone, I used to go straight to my home page, now I get a "loading" message which takes several seconds. Is this due to the number of apps I have loaded? Is it possibly due to number of photo frames I have on my home screen or the complexity of the wallpaper?
View 5 Replies View RelatedCan someone explain a couple of very simple concepts to me - I'm interested in mobile devices running android and how they are identified over networks. Some scenarios: Device is connected over WiFi - presumably the device has a standard IP address as with any host and can communicate with any other android host over TCP/IP (assuming it knows the participating device's IP? device is connected over bluetooth - how are devices identified in this case? device is connected over mobile operator's network - this is the one I'm interested in and confused by - is there anyway for two or more devices to discover each other and communicate via the mobile operator's network? How does a device communicate with a backend server in this scenario? In other words, how do apps and devices communicate when not connected to a WiFi network?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have developed and tested my app on the emulator, and now want to install it on my HTC device. the apk installs successfully, however my database is not going with it. I have created my database using sqliteman browser b/c I have to insert a bulk data before the app starts. I have four tables in my db and call each in different activities and created all on the sqliteman. after the data is inserted I pull back the db onto the data folder of the emulator. it works perfect on the emulator but failed on the device. when I try to pull my db on the real device, it shows access denied problem

How do I map the device Y axis to the screen Y axis?I can't figure this out.I'm the developer of Tricorder, and I'm trying to make it so that the accelerometer and magnetometer indicators I draw always point in the right direction. On the G1 phone with the slider closed, all is well. But when I open the slider, I end up showing that gravity is pulling me to the left (if the phone is held with the display vertical). So, I know that the device, and hence sensor, Y axis is always in the direction of the earpiece; and the screen Y axis changes when I open the slider. And I know that I can use remapCoordinateSystem() to change the device axes to match the screen axes. But where do I find out what the device's orientation is?In other words, how do I compute the correct values for the X and Y parameters to remapCoordinateSystem()?
Configuration.orientation seems quite useless.Suppose it is set to LANDSCAPE.What does this mean?Does it mean a device which is "naturally" portrait (i.e. the sensor Y axis points to the narrow end), and which has been turned into landscape mode?If so, which way was it turned?Or does it mean a device which is naturally landscape? In other words, LANDSCAPE could mean that the screen axis is off from the sensor axis by +90, 0, OR -90 degrees. Not much help.So how do I do this?Obviously I want my app to work on all devices, not just the G1 phone.
I have a standalone GPS enabled data recorder in my car that can function as either a USB host or device. (Its a class 0x00h USB device). I currently connect to it via a WM 6.5 app running on my Palm Treo 750. I would like to port my WM 6.5 app to an Android phone. (I don't have a specific Android phone in mind, I would like it to be as generic as possible).Replicating the GUI is not that difficult, but I am having trouble getting started on the USB communication. I'd appreciate it if someone could point me towards an example, or the appropriate tutorial.
