I don't know if this is a common problem with the Behold 2 or not, but my phone isn't automatically reconnecting to wifi after waking up from sleep.I have to manually toggle the wifi switch to off and then back on for it to reconnect.I'm using Warheads Rom with new kernal if that helps at all.

I want to connect my Behold 2 to my computer (Windows XP) via USB so that I can transfer mp3's. When I plug the USB I get the message "usb device not recognized". Does anybody know how to get past this?
View 27 Replies View RelatedI know, given the multitude of apps and setups that could be causing this, but hopefully someone can help. Sometimes my phone just won't come back up at all. Lock and power buttons do nothing and it needs me to pop the battery to get it back.I don't want to push anyone down this line, but I get the feeling it's related to being in the stock case?Any ideas, it's been happening a couple of times a day for the past few days now?

View 2 Replies View RelatedThis used to work seamlessly but since the 2.2 update.Whenever i arrive home from work i turn wifi on and all connects well. If i then leave the house and return the wi-fi fails to reconnect automatically. This has only happened since i carried out the update and noticed someone else on another thread has exactly the same problem on vodafone eforum. Is there a solution? Currently i need to turn wi-fi off and back on again and it works, not the end of the world but a pain since it used to work so well! I've tried y5 to try and force it, to no avail and carried out a reset (not full factory just remove battery etc).

I've set advanced settings to not notify me when an open network is nearby, but the damned phone keeps connecting to unwanted connections. How to stop that?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure if this is worth complaining about but is anybody else experiencing their phone waking up on its own while it's connected to the charger? I'm not sure when it started exactly but I'm sure it was after I updated to OTA 2.2.It's not hot or does anything else just that the screen turns on, stays on for like 2 seconds, and than the screen turns off. It seems to occur randomly. Is anybody else having this issue?

View 1 Replies View RelatedIf we put aside the fact that Kies has many problems and that connecting the phone through usb is a real pain I found a solution that some of you might be interested in. I wasn't able to connect to KIES a few days ago no matter what I tried. I wanted to back up some contacts etc but couldn't. Also I wanted it to work in case froyo comes out.
Anyway I found out the reason why it didn't work. Instead of using touchwiz I was using the launcher pro interface. Turned out that if I wanted to connect to KIES I had to switch back to the touchwiz interface and then connect the USB. Don't ask me why this worked but it did.. So if you have problems with KIES and aren't using touchwiz my advice is to put it back on in case you need to connect to KIES.
At least once a day, when someone calls me or I call someone else, I can't hear anything, even the dialing. When I call back, sometimes it sounds like I got some completely different person. The third time, it usually connects properly. This started before I installed the last 2 updates. Anyone have this problem or know how to fix it?

I just pick up a Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant (I9000) and love the phone.
However, in my car I normally listen to all my music through a flash drive plugged into a usb port from my deck. So I figured that I could charge my phone through the USB(won't have to buy car charger then) and listen to the music right off of the phone at the same time....well my phone charges fine through it but I can not get my music to play??? I have never had a single problem with the flash drive and I've tried all the different ways to use the USB connection (mass storage/media etc). Do I need to move my files some where download an app or anything like that to get it to work?? Or is it even possible. I have also tried BT audio but I can't make it work either (i've had it work with the iphone before).
Does anyone know how to do this correctly? I can't find any examples & the API documentation is pretty hard to follow.I am guessing I need to use the KeyGuardManager and PowerManager... but can't figure out how to bring my activity up past the keyguard and re-enable the keyguard so my activity doesn't let someone get past the lock when my activity awakens.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI would gladly pay money (and i'm sure a lot of eris -> incredible users would too) for an app/patch to give me the option to use an alternative key/button (menu/home button, or even vol rocker?) to wake up the phone when it's in sleep mode. It was one of the major reasons why I ended up returning the moto droid for an eris (the eris has a power button on the bottom of the phone). Would root be required for this kind of mod?

But I installed Nonsensikal 13.2 about a week ago, love it, and was about to basically settle on this as my default rom until Saturday. Starting Saturday my phone has become non-responsive about 5-6 times. Meanin the lock screen won't come on, and the power button will not turn the phone on or off.I'm assuming this means that the phone is still on when this happens, because if it had just powered down randomly I'd think the power button would turn the phone back on I have to pull the battery out and power it back on to start working again. I don't have setcpu or autokiller running, but I am running juicedefender (in case any of that is helpful for anybody.)

I tried using the dispatchKeyEvent(KeyEvent event) method, but it doesn't prevent the phone from waking up.

View 28 Replies View RelatedI was trying to root my samsng behold 2 earlier today using the command codes on theunlockr.com. I thought everything was going well as I went all the way to the last step where it rebooted my behold 2. Problem is, the phone kinda just turned off after doing the reboot command and didn't turn back on by itself (I gave it like 10 minutes). I eventually then just turned on the phone manually and noticed that everything was super laggy. Even when I used taskkiller to kill every task minus GDE, it said I only had 38MB ram available. I rebooted my phone a few times and it was laggy everytime so I decided to do a hard reset. The problem is that when I attempted the hard-reset, it will now get stuck on the samsung screen when trying to load up (stayed there for over 30 minutes). I can still enter the phone if I just start it up regularly without trying to hard-reset, but it will continue to be VERY laggy.
Is there anything I can do to restore this phone back to its original state? I was reading about using ODIN to flash it or something, but for some reason my computer doesn't detect my phone when I go into Download mode on startup (it does however detect the usb drivers on my phone once the phone officially startsup into its homepage).
I am trying to install 2.1 on my wifes Moment and I ran into a problem. I got through the install to the point where you press "start upgrade". I got to 9 seconds elapsed, and it froze. I also had problems with connecting the phone after pressing the volumedown/camera/power button combo.
After having to restart the install I can't even get past the first time you plug the usb cable in. It just does not seem to see the phone plugged in.
I had these same exact problems when upgrading my phone a couple days ago, and must have got lucky. After a bout 2 hours of trying it over and over again, it finally went through and the update worked.
Any ideas?

View 13 Replies View RelatedAlright whats up people I was recently searching through and through for a way to get mobile internet without paying that ridiculous android price so as I was searching I stumbled across a regular behold forum at Samsung Behold Forum - New Proxy (TMobileX (Free Internet!)) - UPDATE: Analysis 01.07.10 -> 1500 Users because someone said free internet for it and I gave it a run to see if it would work with our behold 2 and surely enough it does.
Instructions on how to use proxy:
Open up the (default) browser on your Samsung Behold.
Type in the following address into the : tmo-x.co.cc/tmobilex/
Type in the address you want to visit in the form on the page and select whether or not you want to use my HTML trick (free; allows you to see sites in full HTML not 'WAP-stripped').
Has anyone experienced any problems with your phones not receiving phone calls? I've had, on more than one occasion, where people are trying to call me and it doesn't go through. My phone never rings but the person told me that it rang 3 times and went to voicemail. Is that Galaxy build problem or is that a T-Mobile problem? If there isn't an easy fix, I'm gonna call Customer Care and see if I can get the phone swapped for something else...
View 8 Replies View RelatedAfter many attempts to try and use the terminal emulator that is already preloaded onto the behold 2 , and many failures..After trying out different Terminal Em.'s and always having my phone lag because they wernt made for it...i have finally found a way to get terminal emulator working with no lag or no slow down in performance... First you must have root,of course, Next, Use an app called root explorer or something similar and goto the folder /system/app/ and find the two files Term.apk and Term.odex, and MOVE them to your sd card from your phone,you want them gone from your system/app folder After that simply goto the market and search for Terminal Emulator , re-download and there you have it, Working term. em. on the behold 2.Peace Ladz.

I was succesfully able to get adb to detect my phone serial. but whenever I type in: adb shell /data/local/try3 /system/bin/sh
in the CMD, it returns with "permission denied"
Is it possible to run ADB over a Bluetooth connection rather than over USB? I ask because I'm having some real issues getting my phone to connect by USB. I've asked about this here before and nothing seems to work, so, I'm looking for alternatives to USB.

I had 30 percent battery so i plugged it into my car charger. it shut off and now wont turn on at all. I have pulled the battery about 50 times with no luck. I plugged it back into the car charger the wall charger and my computer still nothing. I tried to turn it on into the download mode my computer didnt notice it. I have pulled the sims card the sd card nothing. Just a black screen. I now put 2 and 2 together. this happend before about a month ago but then i pulled the battey and it came back on. Now if i get it back on I know better than do it again. Is there anything I can do? I am thinking about stopping at tmo tomorrow to see if they have a battery to try? Has this happened to anyone else if so what did you do?
