I am wondering how to i bring my Verizon Galaxy Nexus back to Stock? Do i just flash Stock rom? will that break the root or brick the phone? I have Galaxy Nexus Toolkit 7.0 but don't know how to unroot with the toolkit.

How to search through emails on my new Verizon Galaxy Nexus. I've been a Blakberry user for the last 3 years and have multiple email accounts. I have always been able to easily search through any email account or multiple accounts instantly and easily. My wife has a Galaxy S II and there is a search button within the email application. However on my brand new state of the art smartphone i can't seem to find the most basic of functions.

I have been flashing custom ROMs recently and I like to clean flash a new version each time.
I have a Verizon Galaxy S3.
I use CWM Recovery, when I want to erase everything before flashing a new ROM, I "wipe data/factory reset" 3 times, then wipe cache, then wipd Davlik. I then flash the new ROM.
I havent been having any problems with any of the new ROMs.
But after I flash a new ROM and got into my phone's internal SD card storage, all my old files are still there. Any photos I stored, files Ive downloaded via web browser, voice recording files, they're all still there. I understand that factory reset usually doesn't affect the external SD card, but my internal SD card isn't wiped either.
Is this normal? Is it ok to leave these old files there when flashing a new ROM or should I be trying to absolutely get rid of everything prior to fllashing a new ROM?
Why flash player can't be used on the note 2? I just did the update to 4.3. Every time I go into something it tells me I need Adobe flash player. I get sent to a screen and it says it's not supported.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo about a month ago I flashed the Google Play Edition ROM on my Verizon S4 and when I did I had no LTE. So I fiddled around with the radio and mobile setting for a while but every time I would change it to either LTE/CDMA/GSM or LTE/CDMA it would change back to GSM/CDMA. Eventually somehow I got it to connect to LTE then never touched it. But one day I had no service and couldn't figure out why until I checked the radio settings again and saw that it was connected to GSM/CDMA. I changed it back but to LTE/CDMA but when I exit out of the radio setting it just resets back to GSM/CDMA.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just received a notice from Verizonwireless that there is a new software update available. So I went ahead and downloaded the update and attempted to install it. After a few seconds a new window opened showing the stupid Android robot laying on its back and the word "error" displayed. Thinking something bogus is going on with my phone I did a factory erase and retried the software update - same results.
Any way to determine what the error is and correct it so I can do the SW update? Out of curiosity I tried using ClockworkMod Rom Manager to install a custom ROM but got the same error indication.

Now when I looked around on some other forums it seemed as though that I didn't have to worry about factory resetting the phone while it was rooted. But when I went ahead and did so it no longer will boot. Its stuck in the boot loop/download mode/ whatever you may call it. I can't seem to flash a recovery file through Odin either. My phone is gone now.

I have a 64gb MicroSD card installed, and put a copy of my photography website on it. I find I am unable to figure out a way to open it in Google Chrome.
I used ES File Explorer's FTP function to begin with, to copy files from my website to the card, and this worked beautifully. When I click on the index.html file on the card, the only options offered are HTML Viewer and some text editors. Chrome is not an option (Chrome is the default browser for my phone). I can try "Open as" and choose Chrome, but get the same error message as below.
If I long-press the file, and select Properties, I can copy the (full) Path for the file, but when I paste this into Chrome's URL bar, it won't open:

I was at my local verizon store an hour ago and was talking to the sales guy about my eris and possibly getting a new battery. After asking for the date for the 2.0+ update (he didnt have one) and the nexus one, he told me that the nexus one will in fact be called the nexus one for verizon (rather than the htc passion) and that it is already in their computer system as being available in february.

I've rooted and applied the "one click LAG fix" to my glitchy SGS running 2.1 and the phone performs very smoothly and reliably since. (benchmarks are consistently over 2200, although I realise that statistics aren't everything)
It is expected that sometime in the next few weeks in the UK (???) that the upgrade to Froyo will be available through the Samsung KIES desktop software rather than OTA and I have the following queries.
1. Should the phone be unrooted before an upgrade is attempted?
2. Should the "LAG fix" be removed before an upgrade?
3. Has anyone previously removed their "LAG fix" and can they advise if there are any gotchas I should look out for?
Do I need to unroot to restore factory default?
