I am trying to make a boot screen that has only one slide in it. tried different bootanimations to use for templates, but still only get a blank screen.. I have checked permissions, ect
I am completely stuck.. I have tried other custom boot animations and they work just fine..

I just got the Samsung Galaxy S Captivate. Seems like a nice phone. Every phone I've had in the past (Nokia, Sony, etc...) has always allowed me to hide my number so that the call display on the receiver's phone shows my call as 'private'. This is useful for when you don't want certain people to have your number when you call. Is there a way to do this on the Galaxy S? I couldn't seem to find any setting how.

It's sad that in my phone, the photos look so great but when I upload or share them on Facebook, it looks washed out and lacks color. Also, I Googled the color teal... I never explicitly cleared the notification, I just navigated from it and when I tried to go back it was gone.

So i started to think about update my one, but before this i need to know if it's possible to make a kernel and boot loader backup, maybe without the system, to i be able to back in time just in case some think wrong happen.

Some applications are frequently updated, and eventually you can reach a point where you have many programs wanting to update, and then 1 or 2 programs which you never want to update because the developer decided to remove a feature for no reason, or made a change that breaks compatibility with some devices.
Overall, I would like to be able to use the "Update All" button without having to worry about it updating the 1 or 2 applications that I never want updated.
