When I transferred service to my new phone Note 3...my old phone won't turn on ....A DROID Razr. I don't understand why this happened. .. how to turn it on..I've tried everything. ,.and I need to get some things out of this phone

Never had any problems, but just today, my phone just shut off. When it shut off, it kept vibrating, just small pulses over and over until I took the battery out. When it shut off, it had 100% battery, so I put the battery back in hoping it would turn back on. The samsung logo/boot screen came up, then it just shut off. It does this repeatedly. I tried putting it into recovery so I can reset it, but it doesn't boot into recovery or download mode.
Strange things: Whenever I hold down the volume down key, it does the vibrating pulse thing until i take my finger off it. And when it's on the charger, it does the vibrating thing the whole time until I unplug it, even if the battery isn't in it.
My Note 2 stopped connecting to charger and PC last week. It eventually died. I have since tried another charged battery from my sisters phone and it still will not turn on. The initial start-up "Galaxy" logo appears, but doesn't go further than that. All functions seemed fine until battery initially drained after day two without charging. The data storage was at it's limit at the time too.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I got my S4 I transferred pictures from my computer to the phone under pictures so that I can use them as my wallpaper. The album showed up in the gallery and all was well, but whenever I transfer new pictures into said folder, the pictures are not updated in the phone gallery. I deleted the album in my gallery and the pictures off my phone in hopes that all of the new pictures will show up if I transfer the pictures again from my computer to my phone. Now the album isn't even shown in the gallery. I've selected the option to show all content on the device but the album is still not showing.

I live in an area with poor cell service (I knew this and I hate talking on my phone) and just want the noise shut off. I don't need a stupid beep to tell me that it's outta service. It's driving me nuts.
I am leaving the country and would like to be able to check my email using wifi, but want to prevent getting roaming charges incase the data/phone connection kicks on. I know that if you turn on airplane mode, it will not allow you to turn on wifi. Is there a way, or an app that will allow you to do this.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and I am using the native email application with an Exchange account. I do not like the email counter telling me how many unread messages I have. I have notifications turned off so I do not have anything showing up in my notification bar. Is there a way to disable to email counter?

On the Instinct you put in the numbers with a pause in the string which allowed you to delay entry of saved access codes until the right time. Is there a way to do this on the Hero?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI plug my phone into my pc using the usb port then it doesnt do anything so I have to hit the drop down menu on the vibrant and click "mount phone" is that correct? then on my pc it bring up the menu where it says "open folder to view files" ..I do that and then I open the folder "dcim" which contains another folder that says "photos" and I open that and it shows my pictures that are on the phone...Then I take the pictures that I want on my pc to my phone and drag and drop them into that "photos" folder and they go in on the pc properly but when I go to my phone and try to open them they arent showing there.

I have SUPER SU, titanium backup, and ROM manager. I understand that all rooted phones must have a SU to grant apps access to the software. As for titanium backup, I have deleted bloatware and backed up and verified all of my information. I also bought the pro version of titanium backup. But for the Rom manager, I'm not too sure how to use that yet. I guess Titanium is for backing up and restoring, and ROM manager is for downloading the new rom?
So you have to download it from the computer, then move to your SD card. Afterwards, the computer part is done right? How do you get the phone in the mode to put in the new rom? And do you have to wipe the stock rom first?

Because of several issues with SE sync, I am trying to use Google sync instead. However, this is also not working as expected: I wished to have all my phone contacts transferred from the phone to Gmail contact list. I started with an empty Gmail contact list. I enabled Google sync as described on the SE website. I don't know exactly what it does, but I also enabled Settings -> Data synchro -> Gmail (perhaps related to my e-mails?)
Result: Calendar syncs without problem. Contacts do not transfer from phone to Gmail
Second trial: I created a new contact "A" on GmailI created a new contact "B" on the phoneI ran sync
Result: Contact "A" synced successfully from Gmail to phone. No sync of contact "B" from phone to Gmail.
Third trial: I modified contact "A" on the phoneI ran sync
Result: The modification done on the phone did not sync to Gmail
Hints from the phone: When I try using Google sync for calendar, the sync icon shows for some seconds, before the date of last sync is updated. All ok. When I try using Google sync for contacts, the sync icon shows for 5-15 minutes. It then disappears, but no date of last sync is added. When I check the contact list, contacts have been synced from Gmail, but not to Gmail.
When I select Settings -> Data synchro -> Gmail, the sync icon blinks for some seconds with a yellow warning triangle. I don't know if this is related to my Gmail e-mails. The e-mails in the Gmail app are loaded without problem.I have already tried going to "manage application" and clear data for "Gmail" and "Gmail storage". I should probably mention that I synced my phone contacts with Gmail some months ago, without problems. This means that my Gmail contact list was not empty when I started messing with this. However, on my first sync attempt, contact lists on the phone and on Gmail were not synced. Instead, all Gmail contacts were added to the phone, causing 95% duplicate entries. I exported my Gmail contacts, deleted the entire Gmail contact list, and synced again to remove duplicate entries from the phone. Then started the process above. I would rather avoid deleting all the contacts from the phone to reload them from Gmail or SE sync, because addresses, facebook/twitter connections, etc. do not sync well.
i transferred my camera photos to my sd card and cant find them anywhere how i did this

and moved them to there
and now i cant find folder or photos
I plugged in my HTC Inspire 4G, and tried to copy everything on the card to a temporary folder, which I will then copy back to my new SD card. But the weird thing is Windows says the total size of all files and folders I copied is 1.85GB, but when I right click->Properties on the Removable Disc, it says the card has 1.94GB used. So there's about 90MB of something that's on the card but Windows can't see or copy. I'm concerned there's something hidden there that will cause problems if my phone can't find it on the new card. Any way I can make sure everything is copied over?

View 3 Replies View RelatedBought a nexus 5 and cut and pasted 6 lecture recordings from my old GS3 to my nexus 5. Rooted the nexus 5 and deleted (accidentally) all the recordings. Is there any data recovery program or tool that I can use to retrieve them?
So, ctrl+x from gs3 ext memory card to ctrl+p onto nexus 5 internal storage. Wiped nexus 5 and now can't be found anywhere.
These recordings are extremely important (I know I lost them, I dont know what I was thinking)...
Transfered songs to my Galaxy Ace the first time and they all showed up into the stock music app, but i had some problems, (i would click delete, and it would still show and access it) and ended up reformatting my SD card, and so i transferred them again, but would not show in the app, but they still show up in File Manager and can play them like that, but i would prefer to just switch at any time sort of thing...

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I use the task killer...and at the moment say when I kill tasks it'll tell me there is about 200M avaliable memory free...if I use the phone for a day it'll maybe go down to 150M even if I am still killing apps and there is nothing in 'running services'. If i turn off the phone and turn it back on it goes up to 250M. What is running that I can't stop myself to make it go down from the 250M but that I can just eliminate by turning off the phone?
View 5 Replies View RelatedLast week I was in the US and had gotten the AT&T pay-as-you-go sim. It charges 1c/kb and I thought that's not too bad since I *only* get outlook and yahoo email. Well, *before* I knew it, it sucked up $14.40 for internet access....Frantically called AT&T customer service and after a long wait, they told me that my device had access the service and downloaded 1.5Mb! I asked them if there was a way to turn off the GPRS(since I was mostly interested in their $2/day unlimited calling service) and they said they don't have a way to turn it off Tried a bunch of things like turning off auto-sync (in settings) etc...but STILL I ended up paying $40 by the end of the day!!
Is their a way to turn off GPRS completely and also monitor what applications are accessing the service? All I have to go by is what AT&T says at the website!
Is there an app (or any simple way of creating one) that can turn bluetooth on when phone on charge and turn it off when taken off charge.
