General :: Tablet Rooted And Restarts In Factory Defaults?

Nov 20, 2013

Tablet model: GT90x I bought a tablet a few days ago.

I Rooted and installed Busybox Installer. Well After that my Tablet Rested it self and now it going to factory Defaults each time I turn it on.

-Whenever the Tab restarts it just looses all settings and starts like it is started for the first time, with all those first time tips and default settings. Even all apps are gone.
-All Apps suddenly vanished (Were installed in internal memmory, no sdcard used)
-If we try to install the app again using google Play, then google play hangs, does not install the app.
- If we go into settings->storage, the first internal storage shows 0.00Bytes

I tried to do: Factory Reset the device, Hard Reset the device, Restart insanely several times

I do have ADD installed but I don't know how to switch busybox over from /system/xbin and find busybox. Move it to /system/bin I can't Install Apps

Samsung Moment :: Resetting Factory Defaults

Jul 9, 2010

I had to do a complete reset of my phone to factory defaults as it turned out to be very sluggish latelly. Any recommendations as to what to do not to do, download not to download, or things to do first before reloading all my applications without getting back to a sluggish phone? Of course the best thing that could happen is to get 3.0 or whatever... Nah, that ain't gonna happen... The next best thing is to upgrade my phone...but... that aint gonna happen for me either for at least another 6 months...

General :: Can't Factory Reset Tablet

May 31, 2014

My current ROM does not allow me to Turn on the Debug Mode for some reason I don't know. The tablet is provided by our school so it has many restrictions like Facebook, Twitter and any other platforms that is not "trusted" by the government. The tablet is being updated like every day to patch the restrictions. I was be able to turn on the USB Debug mode but now they blocked it, too. So I decided to get tablet back to factory settings so I will be able to Turn on Debug Mode and root the tablet and remove the restrictions. I do press Power Button & Volume Up button to open up Android System Recovery. The weird thing is I only have:

-reboot system now
-wipe data/factory reset
-wipe cache partition

I don't have any other options like "Install from SD Cart" or whatever other tablets have. Anyway I do select 2nd option which is wipe/data factory reset option and Yes -- delete all user data option.

It says:

-Wiping data...
-Formatting /data...

.. and after a while it restart and opens up like nothing changed. Same tablet before I shut down. Neither 3nd option does work. What can I do to root it or make it to the factory reset?

HTC Droid Eris :: Latest Update - Improvement After Reset To Factory Defaults

Jul 24, 2010

I received the latest update a couple of days ago. I am like many on the forum that was having issues and growing very tired of this phone.

Issues I was having:

1- Blank display during a call. I have been having the issue of the phone display going blank during a call. The way it's designed to work is that when you place the phone next to your ear the display turns off to 1- save battery and 2- reduce heat. Mine was staying off which made it impossible to traverse a voice response system.

2- Lag during dialing.

3- Time without a signal. ** Retracted - This issue still exists. After rebooting multiple times the issue is back.

Fix - Reset to factory defaults. So far so good. Best the phone has been since updating from 1.5.

Never rooted- Stock versions
fw - 2.1
baseband - 2.42.01.04.27
kernel - 2.6.29-8a03cb9a, htc-kernel@and18-2 #1

General :: Factory Resetting Kaya Tablet

Apr 17, 2014

I got a Kaya Android tablet which was lock after the user entered wrong pattern several times. The tablet presents the unlock with gmail screen but, guess what!, it does not connect to any even public unencrypted WiFi so that it is impossible to unlock with gmail account.

I tried to connect to it from adb via USB but it does not recognized as ADB device, only as USB mass-storage.And, finally, magic key combinations like power-volume-up does not give me any recovery or boot loader.

Is it the stage where I go and throw it to garbage or there is something else left?

General :: X-Touch Tablet X714 Factory Resets On Every Boot?

Feb 10, 2014

I have a problem with my chinatablet.

It's a X-Touch tablet X714 as the back case says and DFP7006.... anyway i don't mind what the heck it is.. problem is:

It's been working satisfactory for half an year and yesterday i installed BusyBox Pro, dsploit and Flappy Birds.apk from unknown sources... so than battery died (it dies in 3hrs) and today when i charged it up it booted to factory erased mode (cold or hard boot i guess you call). I didn't mind it at all, started installing apps from SD but there was not enough space, actually not even a bit of storage. Now every time i boot my tablet it keeps erasing. Strangely enough i found mojang folder in the mnt/sdcard/ directory which i could access with built in file explorer.... So tablet didnt actually erased everything, but rather just denied my permission to use them and any free internal memory..

I have a slight issue with my Nexus 7 (2013).I pretty much can't charge up my tablet because the USB port is very loose. It happened quite suddenly, but I don't really know why and that is not the problem. It can happen. The problem is, my tablet is rooted. Does messing with the OS void the warranty on mechanical faults clearly not associated with any software?

Also, do you think I should take it to some local mobile repair shop instead? It would most definitely ruin what is left of my warranty for good.

General :: Jelly Bean 4.2 For Rooted Acer Iconia B1 A71 Tablet?

Sep 8, 2013

I recently purchased an acer iconia b1-a71 tablet. It has come with android 4.1.2, and there is no further system updates are available. I would like to upgrade to jelly bean 4.2 - my reason for this is because I can't seem to bluetooth pair my tablet and htc one together for internet tethering. I've read that jelly bean 4.2 may fix this.

I saw this one here: [URL]...which says: ps .My device ( Acer iconia b1-a71 8gB) OS is android 4.1.2 (B1-A71 RV04RC05_TWN_GEN1) want to upgrade to android 4.2(B1-A71.RV05RC05.TWN.GEN1)

I upgraded to RV05RC05, which I was led to believe contained jelly bean 4.2 - but the tablet still says its 4.1.2. I also rooted it using this page: [URL]... but it's still the same.

So is there actually an operating system update to jelly bean 4.2? Or, is there a way that I can bluetooth pair for internet tethering (from the phone, to the tablet) without the update?

General :: Rooted Verizon Galaxy S4 Won't Boot After Factory Data Reset

My galaxy s4 has recently been very slow so I thought that I would try a factory data reset to clear some things up. However, my phone is rooted. Now when I looked around on some other forums it seemed as though that I didn't have to worry about factory resetting the phone while it was rooted. But when I went ahead and did so it no longer will boot. Its stuck in the boot loop/download mode/ whatever you may call it. I can't seem to flash a recovery file through Odin either. General :: Syncing Save Game Data Between Galaxy S4 (rooted) And Tablet

Apr 3, 2014

I have a Galaxy S4 (rooted) and just bought a Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 (Afraid to root because I don't want to loose warranty)

I restored all my apps on my tablet but all my Angry Birds, Plants vs Zombies and all other game data is missing from the tablet.

First, is there a way to restore this game data to the tablet WITHOUT root?

Preferably, I would like to seamlessly sync the game data between the 2 devices. It would be great to play a level of any game on my phone and then pick up at the same spot on my tablet. Is this possible?

General :: Rooted Irulu 4.2.2 Tablet - BusyBox Works But Command Does Not Elevate To Root?

Dec 6, 2013

i recently bought a cheap irulu tablet off ebay. it's running 4.2.2, and i'm not quite sure if it's rooted or not. i've read that most of their tablets are rooted right out of the box, so i downloaded 4 or 5 root checkers from the marketplace and some said it was rooted and some said it was not. i know that it does have su and busybox installed, but i don't have one of those superuser apps that request permission or anything. i can browse my full phone with any file explorer. i installed titanium backup, and it says on the main screen that root access is ok, but then it will pop up an error message that says:

BusyBox works but the "su" command does not elevate to root. There's something wrong with your "su" binary and/or "Superuser" app.

HTC Incredible :: Can't Do A Factory Reset On My Rooted Phone

Not sure if this is because of the ROM I'm using or because I'm rooted, but I can't do a factory reset on my phone. If I try it, the phone reboots and locks into a boot loop. I can pull the battery, but then it boot loops again. I've basically got to boot into recovery mode and reflash a usable ROM or backup to get the phone working again. Is this because I'm rooted or is this because of the ROM I'm using (Skyraider)?
