General :: Sony Xperia S Lt26i - Changing Device Screen Resolution?

I owned a Sony Xperia S lt26i. it will lags constantly while playing some games, i think it is because of its high screen resolution.
If i want to change whole device screen resolution from 1280x720 to 960x540 I just need to change the lcd density/screen resolution at build.prop and change all apps to 960x540 compatible (included launcher) , then change the details of my model to Xperia P (which is a 960x540 resolution) Is it my steps will work?

I see that the minimum screen diagonal size for Android is listed as 2.6". I am looking at custom building a device with screen size 2.2" to 2.4" and resolution 320X240. Want to know if Android works on smaller screens. Do I need to write any display drivers to support the smaller screens? Does physical size really matter?

Problem: I have two batteries, default one and Mugen one. Every time I change a battery the phone system time resets.
What I have tried to do: Set "Automatic date & time" and "Automatic time zone" on - No luck. Restar after set on -
Install different NTP server synchronizing app. I am in china, so it could not connect to the server and I get error every time, even after change to chinese NTP server - Still no luck...
Install different GPS synchonizing app, sometimes it work sometimes not and it takes too long to synchronize.

I'm using an off-brand device which's resolution is [FWVGA (854x480) pixels]. I bought Need For Speed Shift from Play Store,installed and downloaded the data(approx. 100 MB).But when I opened the game, everything's white and grey,only the music and some of the texts are fine but everything else is like invisible.No cars,roads or terrains.
I contacted with EA and they suggested me to change the game's resolution in the option, but as I can't see anything, I can't do it.I replied them with it but it's been 3 days and no answer from them.
As I'm using Android 4.2.1(JB) I can't use ChainFire 3D.
Change the resolution settings in your game and give me the settings file or is there any way to change the resolution option manually by editing the data files?

Is there a way to change the Display output resolution in Android?
I'm not talking about the screen density (DPI). I'm talking about the pixels.
The thing is I own an Acer Iconia A700 FullHD tablet but there is lag, especially on 3D games that forces the native screen resolution of 1920x1200.
So forcing the resolution from 1920x1200 down to 1280x800 would theoretically reduce those lags.
So it works with some games that comes with an option to change the resolution, but most games doesn't have an option, they simply run in 1920x1200 and lag really badly.
Is there a way to change the overall resolution down to 1280x800 ?
I know it MIGHT be possible but there could be a problem because the image has to get upscaled to the native display resolution.
And I don't know if the Tegra 3 comes with an hardware scaler. So if the resolution gets changed, it might get upscaled and filtered (or not) OR just centered in a smaller image in the middle of the screen.
But either way.. Is it possible? if yes, how?

I have SONY XPERIA tipo with 803MB Internal Sotrage and 2.20 GB.
I have rooted the phone, and set external 32GB card as the default SD card (i.e. phone thinks its internal memory is 32GB) via changes in /etc/vold.fstab file.
The result is that phone regards the 2.20GB space as external memory.
I can move many applications to 32GB card, however some applications e.g. BusyBox, GCC Toolchain, and Chrome are not movable to Internal storage (32GB) or external storage (2.20GB).
Since the 2.20GB space is of no use for me, and it is mounted under the same device where "phone memory" 803 MB is mounted i.e. :
/dev/block/mmcblk0 = 3909 MB
/dev/block/mmcblk0p11 = 524 MB
/dev/block/mmcblk0p11 = 167 MB
/dev/block/mmcblk0p15 = 803 MB
/dev/block/mmcblk0p16 = 2311 MB
Surely, the last partition "/dev/block/mmcblk0p16 = 2311 MB" is the free storage not being used, and "/dev/block/mmcblk0p15 = 803 MB" is the phone memory, which I want to extend/increase.
My question is: Is it possible to merge the alst 2 partitions (e.g. by formatting 2.2GB space and then merging it with the 803MB space. This way my phone will have its system memory pretty large, and I will be able to install more applets through BusyBox as well as Chrome etc.

I put a lot of effort into making sure all of my album covers are high resolution good looking ones, however not a single one of my Android devices has EVER displayed the full res artwork, this became more frustrating because I got an iPad 3 on the cheap (I would not have gotten one otherwise) and when I saw how good the artwork looks there.
The problem is even worse when I use my Touchpad, Is there a workaround to stop this from happening?
These are the devices I've had so far have been:
Galaxy Spica->Captivate->AT&T SGS2 (None of them display the high res artwork in the stock firmware nor do they do it under any ROM)
HP Touchpad and my Nexus 10 is on the way (The same issue is present in the Nexus)
All the music players either don't show the artwork or downscale it one way or another (Even PowerAmp does this, it just isn't as noticeable because it makes the displayed art really small) thus resulting in a terrible user experience, I've looked for solutions countless times but I've never found a way around it.
I'd a attach a screenshot of my TP but the size of the file is larger than 256kb which seems to be the limit for pngs.

I have a program that should work on Android 1.5, but when it's run on newer devices with higher resolution screens, it should support the full resolution and not emulate a lower resolution screen. As far as I can tell from the documentation, this should be simple.

The problem is that if I tell Eclipse to compile for 1.5, it refuses to accept this. It reports an error (targetSdkVersion is an unknown tag) and refuses to compile or run. If I tell it to compile for 1.6 it works fine, of course. But if I then try to install on a 1.5 AVD, the program immediately crashes with a java.lang.VerifyError. I'm clearly missing something simple. How do I get it to compile an apk that works under 1.5, but still includes the targetSdkVersion tag?

i have a problem changing different input language. If i change from default English to Lithuanian, no Lithuanian symbols appear, everything stays as it was still in English. I tried changing to Russian, to see if it is just a bug with Lithuanian input, - Russian works fine. Perhaps there are some shortcuts for typing Lihuanian symbols that i don't know?

Seems I just lost all my phonebook... the only reason I think it could have happened is because I cleared data regarding my google sync adress? Is this the case? There was a message mentionning i would lose data if I do so, but why is my phonebook that is normally on my sim card disappeared since I re adjusted google sync? Not only will the app 'maps' not complete loading but I have major problems getting the Internet. I have checked the network coverage and it doesn't appear to be that but sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
Also my keyboard keeps changing too i even get Japanese on it.

I was flashing a mod for the first time usin CWM in my Xperia Neo L
I Had do these steps:
1.factory reset
2.Wipe Cache Partition
3.Advanced>Wipe Dalvik Cache
4.Mounts and storage > Format /system
5.reboot
I forgot to do step 1 an did all the rest and then rebooted. I had unchecked usb debugging mode. Now my xperia is stuck on the Sony logo Screen.. CWM not working..

I am using Sony Xperia Neo L with ported Paranoid CM9 rom with CM9 OC Gov Net kernel. I have used it for a few months until today, I can't receive phone calls but can still make phone calls. When somebody calls me, the phone will just vibrate for less than a second. I can see who is calling me in the call logs. There isn't a screen for me to answer the call: with a call icon which can be pulled left or right. The caller would just hear my neo L's voicemail greeting or like forwarding to another phone ( i know that because the beeping sound is different.) I have checked the forwarding setting already.

I have a sony xperia T and have just upgraded my rom to cynogen mod 11, the only problem is as soon as I went to set it up (which I did manage to complete) I had a blue/white tint circle on my screen. I can move the circle but it is hard to use for example I have to have it on a certain area to click the thing I want to click.
