i can tell its a soft brick because i can still access the Recovery Mode
my main problem is all the Stock ROM updates can't be read by my phone

I recently found out this: [URL] Unofficial ROM of CM9 for HTC Wildfire S. G1345's hardware is pretty much the same as Wildfire S' one. The same Qualcomm MSM7227 CPU and 512Mb of RAM on both devices. Also, here we have Clockworck ModRecovery for G1345, so now it's possible to flash ROMs without a signature of manufacturer. Question: is it possible to port CM9 to our devices, or simply flash with this one for Wildfire S? I think the only difference would be the lack of dual-sim support. View 1 Replies View RelatedI SOFT BRICKED my lg e730 while trying to install HarshGinger v3.
I tried to root my phone, and everything was ok until I tried to install the rom. I saw in recovery how the rom was installing, and when all was completed the phone entered into a boot loop. I think that I should install first a stable cyanogen mod and then harshginger.. I think this is what I done wrong. The phone it`s soft bricked because I can reach to the emergency mode screen.
Question: I can do a reboot from ADB or I have to use KDZ? KDZ looks like the type of program used by the smart people and I`m not really that smart. I am looking for a simpler solution, like a combination of buttons or something.
I've been scouring the internet for the last view months since initially attempted to root my admittedly out of date htc view. A friend gave it to me in exchange for an old comp I built. I attempted through revolutionary to root, went through HTC and unlocked my device, continued to try and root it but found no proper software that worked to do so. Even tried something called mulitool which was pretty cool, but didn't get the job done. After a time I gave up on rooting, and my tablet powered down and I found myself stuck at the recovery screen. None of the options for clear storage, factory reset, or anything else proved fruitful. I removed my sd and was able to boot up fine. This was months ago. Now I'm having a similar problem only now even without SD card it's in a boot cycle where it boots to recovery for 30 seconds or so and shuts down, then back to recovery and like this ad infintum.

i installed flyrom v4 in ma htc explorer through clockworkmod... When i tried to reboot it stucks in the htc splash screen..Still not coming to home screen. And i partitioned ma sd card ext2 using minitool and i linked it thru link2sd... But it doesnt mount in clockworkmod... But flyrom instaled perfectly...

I saw there was a windows installer on cm website..but wanted to make a backup of my current rom..
i rooted my phone using kingo android root..installed rom manager..flashed latest clockworkmod recovery..
but on booting into recovery,i found stock recovery was being forced..i read somewhere it was because of unlocked bootloader..
on cyanogenmod wiki page,i found installation of clockworkmod recov using heimdall..everything went fine ...blue progress bar was shown in the download mode...and when i rebooted into recovery mode i saw the first danger sign..there was a yellow triangle beneath galaxy note logo..
and then it booted into clockworkmod recovery 5.8..Foolishly i did a system backup..rebooted...surprised to find phone went into black screen after displaying a note logo with yellow triangle beneath..tried recovery from clockworkmod without hope but that didnt work as expected...
All i need now is to install cyanogenmod 10.1.3 stable on my device..i dont want a custom rom backup anymore..'
My Device was using L900SPTBMK4 and I want to do a restore. Kies doesn't recognize it when in Download mode, does it when is on the loopboot but never finished the connection, stuck a connecting.
In odin the device isn't recognized when in download mode either, as Kies, it recognize the device when stuck a the bootloop. I don't to if is safe to try a flashing in this mode.
Using ODIN v3.09

I don't remember what download mode I suppose to choose from BL/AP/CP
I also have this file L900VPUBMK4_L900SPTBMK4_HOME.tar.md5 to try the flashing if recommended.
My Android phone is soft bricked it is an VS870 LG 4G Lite Lucid II.
This is the second time my phone becomes bricked due to my last incident with my samsung. It has nothing to do with it being rooted, but uninstalled some apps in the phone which I thought had nothing to do with the system. IDK last one I uninstalled was zappos. I know how to un-brick my phone, but my only problem is getting the phone to be recognized by my computer. I tried uninstalling and re-installing the drivers, removing the battery from the phone, using different USB ports still no luck . Could it be that the battery percentage went below 75%? if so I have no way else to charge, it does not seem to charge anymore?
I have an Allwinner A10 clone (Kurio 7), it is designed for kids but otherwise a standard android tablet. After hours of googling I rooted and installed CWM & Gapps (not included in the stock ROM). So far so good. The stock ROM was causing issues with some apps, it needed to go.
I flashed CM10 and it worked but no touch screen. It needed a compatibility flash to make it work. You can guess what's coming. I picked the wrong one and now the device does the following:
Reboot loop
Black screen (backlight though)
PWR+Vol up no longer gets to recovery
Vibrates constantly between reboots (due to wrong patch I'm guessing)
ADB picks up the device for a split second between reboots but "adb reboot recovery" does nothing. Even when using wait command. Tried "fastboot flash recovery cwm.img" after wait command, no luck. Is there anything else I can try?
My Captivate wont go past the Galaxy S logo screen anymore and the bottom buttons stay lit. I can get it into recovery mode but I would like to save some pics and vids that I have on the internal SD card. Anyway to save files before I Odin flash this thing? Droid explorer sees the phone but wont show the paths/files.

so recently I bought my new Android phone, Gigabyte Gsmart Aku A1, which is really great, MTK 6598 runs smooth as butter, I've already rooted it, but I can't find on settings how do I change the Lockscreen Shortcuts (Running 4.2.1 JB) and I also can't find anything on Settings on how to change the Notification toggle shade, because I want stuff to be remove and added. I can't find anything on settings. Maybe you can give me SystemUI which as that kind of settings?

My friend gave me this phone i did not know he used Rodimusrom http:[url].....html to modify it so i did a factory reset and that is what bricked my phone. i know how to go in recovery mode by holding the volume up button and the home button but other than that i do not know what to do.

Now, my phone is switched off since 15 days, when ever i try to switch it on, it vibrates once and nothing at all afterwards...if i press power button again, it won't vibrate, unless and untill i remove the battery and reinsert it in phone..
i see three red flashes of light, when connected to PC..
1. PC Companion for update, repair and custom repair is not working...most of the time phone is not detected..
2. SE-update service is also not working and phone is shown as Xperia arc..
3. Flashtool, doesn't recognize the handset
4. few, technician told me box flash would work, but again, it didn't work out
Now, i don't know much about this, but i do understand that hardware seems to be good, till now, the only issue is software and that to initial boot process i.e. bootloader.
is there any other way i can upload a new custom rom on my xperia ??
I have a [Gen2] ZTE v9 Tab which had 2.2 as the stock OS which I managed to get upgraded to 2.3 using modcore everything was gr8. I pushed my luck little further and tried to install Android ICS in order to do that I did a TPT using image file and after doing that my tab is bricked.
It's not booting into the OS I tried to get into the FTM mode but that doesn't work now only thing that work's is the ADB I tried the recovery methods that can be done through ADB but it says "sh:/sbin/recovery xxxx" missing.
What I think is that the system partition was recreated and Is there any way that I can get the system files on to the tab using ADB or a way to copy entire directory on to the tab using the ADB.
Got the system to boot to FTM but when I try to flash it the software fails and gives a error "Failed to Get aprmg x x x " some thing like that if there's a way to skip this I'll be able to get my tab back to working condition.
I got an HTC Explorer around a month ago and quickly found out how useless it was with the miniscule amount internal storage HTC decided to provide me with. So I quickly found jaggyjags' rooting tutorial found here: http:[url]....
All went well and I was happy with the phone, until some of the apps started bloating and I went a little too far with link2sd and tried to convert the com.htc app into a user app, which ended disastrously. Pretty much every process failed or had an error, so I tried restarting the phone and found myself in a boot-loop.
I then succesfully got into HBOOT and then into recovery. So I decided to try installing jaggyjags' custom ROM. After taking out my SD card to connect to my computer and copy jaggyjags' rom to, I got back into HBOOT, but could not get into recovery anymore. All the phone did was get stuck on the HTC screen.
After leaving it on the screen to see if it would eventually make it to recovery, I discovered that the phone is now dead and won't even charge. I'm not sure if it's because the battery might be dead or some other reason.
Ok i recently rooted my LG C800 or Mytouch Q using SuperOneClick which went well. However, When i tried to install a new rom using ROM Manager of the play store i first backed up my current rom and when it reboots its stuck on the boot LG logo. I have tried going into recover mode and it will show the android unboxing but a few seconds later it goes back to the LG logo. I don't want to say its completly bricked as i do get the LG logo.

Today i tried rooting my tablet using this URL>...I did everything from the instructions and first time didn't work. I tried 2nd time and it didn't work. Then I downloaded the RV27RC03_WW_GEN1 system.img, copied it in the "system_image" folder. I started rooting it for the 3rd time (because I was a fu*ktard) and when it finished it was bricked. I tried turning it on, but it wouldnt turn on, then i inserted a needle in the reset hole. It turned on, but it froze on the acer logo. When I got in the system recovery I made a factory reset.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWell I tried to create my own ROM. when the tablet boots, the back light comes on and that is all I get. When I press the on/off button the back light goes on and off. Another thing I noticed is that when I connect to the PC I can see the SD card and the External SD card mounted as MTS Device.
When I reset the tablet via the little hole on the top (next to the sound buttons) it just seems to switch off and then on again. I tried to switch the device off and try resetting (holding ON button + Volume UP + Volume DOWN) to get to CWM but I can't get into CWM. The back light just comes on.
I also tried to see if I could access the device via the ADB shell, but there is no device found. Which is weird as why does Windows see the device. I am not sure how to proceed. I also noticed that Windows (In device manager) sees the device as a Ramos W30HD and has an exclamation mark next to it?
So I made the mistake of attempting to root my new HTC one V without knowing what I was doing. I currently can't get past the bootloader screen. I've attempted installing the RUU for my phone with no success. I've resorted to extracting the rom.zip from the RUU, renaming it PK76IMG.zip (required for hboot to recognize it) and putting it on my sd card. Everything works fine up until the end when it says "hboot version is older! Update failed"

I see only the little android robo and thats all; no restart no nothing. i tried to format the soft and reinstall it but no succes.I tried resetting with the dedicated button but still no succes. the install was a success but the tablet isn`t working.

View 3 Replies View Related I got my Dad's old Motorola Fire XT530 recently. The thing is, he used the phone for around 2 weeks and then switched to a BlackBerry. He kept the phone switched off and locked up in his office bag. I fished it out yesterday and tried to switch it on, but it wouldn't even switch on. I connected it to the wall outlet and left out there for a while. The screen never turned on, but the lights on the soft keys below the screen did light up, so I assumed that it must be charging.
Anyway, after a while, I removed it from the outlet and switched it on, but it wouldn't boot up at all. Then I tried getting it into recovery and download mode, but it just wouldn't turn on at all. The device wasn't rooted, and I don't know what could have gone wrong that would make it like this.
I want to start developing for this device, seeing as there isn't even a decent ROM for this. I don't want to send it to the Motorola service centre; I have issues with them as it is.
I attempted to install transparent cm7.2 status bar and phone bricked (fastboot). I fixed it and installed other phone model's cwm with windows cmd command (stupid, I know). After this I'm always stuck at lg screen. Can't get into recovery either. Lg update tool does not find the phone, neither does cmd.exe. I sometimes get the ''colored snow screen'' or whatever I should call it. But it doesnt change the fact that the phone can't be recognized by anything.I can't turn the phone in any mode, it always starts with the lg screen.

But, i think i cant use those device-specific files for my phone.When i connect my cell to PC it shows QHSUSB_DLOAD in device manager.i am almost clear about the rest of the recovery procedure and instructions, i am just not sure about those device-specific files.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently noticed my Incredible 2 was only showing the battery life to be 50% after charging it overnight. I switched AC chargers and the problem continued. So I figured the battery was done, for whatever reason, and I ordered a replacement battery from Verizon directly. The replacement battery also only charged to 50% after a full night's charge. So...it's probably an issue with the phone itself. I have Total Equipment Coverage but getting a new phone's a hassle and I like my Incredible 2 (not guaranteed to get another I imagine). I figure it might be the phone's "charging circuitry"...is that easily repairable? I need to have a fully-charging phone in a week or so...

I need PWM or TWRP to flash it with the stock rom, right? Unfortunately I hadn't installed either, so is there any other way to flash the stock rom now?
