General :: Setting Reminder To Google Saved Locations?

I love setting location based reminders in Google Now. I can set a reminder for when I get home or the next time I'm at the grocery store. But one thing I can't figure out is how to set a reminder for the next time I'm at a saved location in Google Now. For instance, Google Now knows I go to my parents so it saved the address in Google Now and I renamed it to "My Parents". But I can't set a reminder by saying "next time at I'm at My Parents, remind me...". Is this just a limitation or is there a way to do this?

How do you set "home" and "work" locations in Google Now? I found an article online but it didn't have the same screens as I do. When I got my GNex, I set it up at work and somehow it thinks that is my "home." When I'm home, I get a Card that tells me the traffic and how many minutes it will take to get Home. I don't remember setting it up that way, I just took all the defaults.
I'm running JB. When I scroll up to get Google Now, I scroll to the bottom and press the 3 dots and select Settings. I press on Privacy and accounts, then on Manage Location History. Maps comes up briefly, but then the Settings menu overlays it. From the menu I select Location Settings. Enable location history is enabled. When I press Manage your places, I get a blank screen with a tiny message that says "No check-in places to manage."

I find that when I type in a location in the new Google calendar update, it only auto suggests contact addresses and recent locations. If I type in a business name, I don't see a list of addresses pop up.

Is there some way to force Google Maps to actually use Mock Locations?. I have mock locations turned on, on my phone and I use a seperate GPS receiver. It works in several maps, but the second I activate navigation for Google Maps I get an annoying popup telling me to activate GPS. I just want that popup to go away but cant.

I recentrly tested a few apps from the market changing the location using fake gps points. All of them work perfect but the locations sent via apps ( facebook for example) they show Bing maps not Google ones. I prefer gmaps because for my country they show every single street and building. Bing hasn't done that yet. What app works with google sources?

I've been trying for months to get the alarm notifications to work on my Verizon S3. I've spent hours and hours for month after month looking at the forums, and have not been able to fix it- I really, really would like to get this to work!
The problem is, I never get alarm reminders for either:
- time to leave/traffic alerts when I have upcoming appointments
- reminders based on location
I have some setting(s) wrong, or Google Now is somehow broken for me.
I'm running a Verizon S3, with 4.2.1 and recently I rooted the phone (the notifications have not worked since before nor after the rooting- I did it for other reasons).

I have my Incredible set up to synchronize with my work's exchange server. I have a ton of meetings, and I rely upon the phone's 10-minute reminder to play an alert sound before each meeting. This is very handy. What I don't like is that there is no way to set the frequency (i.e., the repeat) for the audible calendar event reminders. It seems like they will just keep going off forever every 5 or 10 minutes, even after the meeting has started, until I hunt my phone down, turn it on, slide the screen lock down, slide the notification area down, select the reminder, and select "Dismiss". And then when my next meeting comes up again, same issue. It was driving me crazy, to the point that I simply turned off the reminder notifications entirely. Is there any way I can tell this phone, "When there is a meeting in ten minutes, please play exactly 3 audible reminder alerts: 10 minutes before, 5 minutes before, and when the meeting time has started.

I would like to receive a signal more than once when I receive a text message. Is there any way I can do that. I'm not someone who checks their phone many times during the day, so I really need more than once reminder that I have a message.

Google saved search setting. Every time I go to the Google main site and tap on the blanks space to type in a search all my previous searches appear. In the past there was a "do not save searches" setting you could select in preferences, but it doesn't exist now. Now I have a option to turn web history off which I did but my previous search history's still appear when I try and make a new search. how to "not save search history" with chrome browser for android.

I am a user of Google Music All Access service (i wont explain how i got it to work outside the US) and the app automatically downloads songs i add to my libarary for offline usage.
The songs are in data/data/com.google.android.music
However despite the full size and valid extension they cannot be played in any other app then Google Play (not even when i transfer them to the PC) ARE they encrypted? If so how to fix this?

Looks like in the stock browser, the bookmark sort setting is not being saved. I have mine set to sort Most used. However, if I reboot or kill the browser via a task manager, then go back to bookmarks, it is set as sort by Newest. Can anyone confirm they are getting this as well?

I am looking to create a map application. I want it to show a location that user selects from a list and show here the location is, then add a button on the map so that the user can navigate from there current location to the one selected. I have looked at tutorials but cannot find anything that does this. Anyone know where I might find a tutorial that shows this or how I can extend my simple map to show a given location.

How much have people played around with this app? I find it both amazing and scary. Only had it running a couple of days, but very curious to see it mapping my location history. Has anyone tried the so called "routine" learning features, where it alerts you if a friend comes within range when your outside your routine locations? How long did it take to suss out your routine?
I love the idea of this thing coming onstream just as the festival season kicks off. "Navigate to Jennie" is going to a lot of fun in a big crowd! But then won't Latitude be constantly alerting me everyday of the festival? Could get annoying! But I love the idea of going out on a night and using latitude for everyone to meet up. The only snag is the map scales we have currently aren't detailed enough to make it really useful. But what other uses have people found for it? Another thing I don't understand is that Google My Tracks and Latitude seem to duplicate their functionality a bit - why do they overlap them? Latitude could really be a lot of fun. Or a lot of trouble. Any opinions?

I can't figure out how to tag locations in google maps, or if there's an app I can get that will. IE: when driving across the state I found some places where I wanted to stop on the return trip to take some pictures, so I wanted to mark the lat/long in gps so I could find it later.

I want to develop an gps application that can navigate to some predermined locations in a database. I have created a mapview wich is working just fine, I also have a MyLocationOverlay to show my position and I have a ItemzedOverlay to show the locations to which I want to navigate. the problem is the creation of a route from the phones location to a predermined location.

I just noticed that none of my events on my Droid have any reminders. They have reminders in Google Calendar online, and in Outlook (they are sync'd from Outlook to Google Calendar by the "Syncmycal" program.) So somewhere between Google Calendar and my Droid I'm loosing reminder settings. The events are all there in my calendar, but none of them has a reminder set.

Finally got the note 3 from Telus and loved the big screen + battery capacity!!(Ditched the iPhone 4 for note and it was a perfect choice!)

Any way to use a non-google e-mail address to setup a google account? I could've sworn this was possible before. I'm basically getting my kids Nexus 7's but rather than sign them all up for gmail when they already have e-mail accounts, I was hoping I could just use their existing e-mails for simplicity.

I'm trying to publish an application to the Play store using a private channel. I registered as a developer but there is no option for enabling private channel under the domain settings>mobile tab. Likewise, there is also no option under 'Pricing and Distribution' in the developer console to make the application private as the google suggests.

I just got my Galaxy Note 2 replaced under insurance. I am trying to get functionality back that I had before.
I used to be able to say something like: "Remind me to call so-and-so tomorrow at 1pm".
And it would work flawlessly and alert me at that time. How I get this functionality back.
Does it have something to do with Samsung's calendar app? It works find for alarms, but it also used to utilize the calendar.

I've saved some contacts (from a text message and the other from a phone call), and linked them to my Google account. They'll stay for a day or two, then the contact will just disappear (not in phone or Gmail online). I've tried re-saving numerous times, same result. Then I decided to just enter them in my contacts in Gmail, and it worked for only one.

I have started using Waze for my GPS navigation needs. The problem is, I had previously told my phone to use Google Maps Navigation (or simply "Navigation", the one with the blue arrow icon, instead of the other option at the time which was TeleNav GPS Navigator), but I can't seem to remove that default app setting.
I have gone to Settings->Applications->Manage Applications->All to look for the Navigation app and clear "Launch by Default" setting, but it does not appear in the list of apps at all.
Is this a thing about Google apps, that they are kept hidden and forever locked into being your default app once you tell it so? I thought maybe it was part of the regular Google Maps app, but the setting there says there are no defaults set to be cleared.

Is there a way i can group all my contacts to my Google account that are saved to phone. I start saving them to phone instead of Google when giving the option, thinking i could just sync whenever i upgraded ROMS. I was wrong i lost some contacts, restoring older ROMS. So for future references I will save to google, I just want to know if the current contacts now can be saved to Google grouped or i have to go in and do them individually.

I own one of the first GNex devices with crappy GPS. I have a GPS in my car, so that wasn't a big problem. When I started to play Ingress, I used a external BT GPS Receiver (Holux 1000c). It worked very well, also inside of buildings.
Since 1.18 update of Ingress, the game doesn't start if you enable "mock locations" in the dev-options, to prevent cheating. I'm not a cheater and if I would be one, there are much easyer way's to cheat then modifying a external BT GPS.
So, is it possible (with root of course) to use a external GPS without enable "mock locations"?

I recently had my DI replaced due to a tech issue, but before I switched over I backed up everything using "My Backup Pro".
When it backed up my contacts, it backed up EVERYONE - including 550+ people I follow in Twitter. I did not have these as visible in my People (phonebook) list, just in Twitter. When I synced with my new DI, My Backup Pro installed every contact to my People list, as the app must have thought it was all part of my phonebook. I tried to make the list invisible like I had it on my original phone, but that did not work, so I deleted each Twitter contact manually from my People list. They no longer show in my People list (though are available to be made visible from Twitter).
This did not solve the problem. Any app that accesses my contact list (even Search People) displays the FULL list which includes my Twitter contacts. There is no long-press or menu options available to hide them.
I am willing to clear my contacts and upload the list again, as they are all backed up to my Google account, but I am afraid it would sync with the server and delete what is saved there.
Any advice on how to clear my contact list of my Twitter followers, or start over with my Google-saved contacts?

During traveling When user reach at specific location let say user reach at location A, i have to call an event. e.g My app should find current locations continuously and automatically and match with locations that i marked ( how can it be done) and when it matched, event should be called.
