Google saved search setting. Every time I go to the Google main site and tap on the blanks space to type in a search all my previous searches appear. In the past there was a "do not save searches" setting you could select in preferences, but it doesn't exist now. Now I have a option to turn web history off which I did but my previous search history's still appear when I try and make a new search. how to "not save search history" with chrome browser for android.

I'm trying to delete search history on the Google search app that come with Android. I have delete Web history on the Google website and also tried deleting the cache and app data. Previous results are still showing up in the app. How do I delete them completely?

After I have completely cleared browsing data on my laptop (signed in on my Google account), deleted my entire Web History (google.com/history) and made a factory reset on my Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
Now after this, when I start the Google search app on my Nexus device and type a random letter - I still get suggestions based on my old searches. How can I completely clear my search history stored at Google?

I have a samsung moment and I can't for the life of me figure out how to delete my search history in the google widget. I've tried deleting the cache and cookies and form data, but it doesn't clear it.

I love setting location based reminders in Google Now. I can set a reminder for when I get home or the next time I'm at the grocery store. But one thing I can't figure out is how to set a reminder for the next time I'm at a saved location in Google Now. For instance, Google Now knows I go to my parents so it saved the address in Google Now and I renamed it to "My Parents". But I can't set a reminder by saying "next time at I'm at My Parents, remind me...". Is this just a limitation or is there a way to do this?

I am a user of Google Music All Access service (i wont explain how i got it to work outside the US) and the app automatically downloads songs i add to my libarary for offline usage.
The songs are in data/data/com.google.android.music
However despite the full size and valid extension they cannot be played in any other app then Google Play (not even when i transfer them to the PC) ARE they encrypted? If so how to fix this?

l uninstalled Google Search and Google Play store apps, but they were not completely uninstalled and now I can't reinstall them because the store says they are installed. I cannot find them on my android tablet and so I cannot use them. What is a good app to completely uninstall them. Some of these apps will not install on my Lenovo tablet.

I finally found a way to erase the market search history and I thought I'd share with you all. Just download the free app "History Eraser". Install, select "google apps" then clear market search histories. All nice and clean after!

Any way to delete the previous search criteria it lists underneath the search bar. Seems to keep a log or history of previous searches. Curious if there a way to get rid of this. Tried hitting/holding menu to see if there was an option and haven't found anything.

Just installed the new Google Search. But i dont have any options to turn on cards, like TV shows, local transport etc. Do these appear over time? I only have 4 things in "Everything else" but i have seen people have like 20+

Since the time I have upgraded to KitKat- I have been facing the issue of Call History. Every Time I miss a Call and I click on the name/number- Its asks me to select a default option of whoch way to open that entry , that is, through Dialer or through History. I tried selecting history and clicked on the "always use this option" but the same thing kept happening every time. After a few tries, I chose the other option and did the same thing and it again kept appearing... It looks like there's a bug in this and it never really saves my preference.

I'm sure there's some of you out there that will be just excited about this as I am. There's now an app called MarketHistoryEraser that will clear you Android Market searches! No, you don't have to be rooted either! I've waited so long for a way to do this without rooting and it's finally possible. I don't know how to post the QR code here but someone may want to.

Does anyone know how to clear the history in youtube or marketplace? Disclaimer-It's not from searching for inappropriate things rather it is knowing it can be done. I have not been able to locate a way to do this, anyone figure it out? The browser and the main menu history is easy to reset, but youtube and marketplace seem impossible.

Can you see your Google Wallet app transaction history on the web somewhere? It _looks_ like you should be able to see purchases made using the Google Wallet app at [URL]..., but this page just lists my Google Checkout transactions -- there's no record here of anything I bought using the phone app. As far as I can tell, the only place where I can see any record of those transactions is on the phone itself by selecting "Transactions" in the Google Wallet app. Is there a way to see this stuff online that I'm missing? And if these transactions _are_ only recorded on the phone, will all record of them be erased if/when my phone is wiped?

I know a lot of people have been having trouble with YouTube. I was experiencing these same problems. When i first got the phone YouTube worked fine, and then i started experiencing the following message. "Sorry, this video cannot be played".However i found that when i cleared my search history the videos would then play. For those that don't know how to do this. In the YouTube Application: Menu>Settings>Clear search history.You don't have to exit the application after clearing your search history but you may have to go back a page and then re-select your video.This has worked for me time and time again.

Does anyone know how to clear the history from the quick search function on the X10. As you do, I've given the phone a thourough test looking at a couple of gentlemens interest site and now everytime my kids get hold of the phone I have to quickly retrieve it from them explaining 'I don't want to run the battery down'. I would like to create a search in my app which acts like the map search in the Google Maps app. I have creates an an auto complete text view which updates dynamically based on the results of the Geocoder.GetLocationByName() Method. However the results retrieved from this function are really bad and not at all consistent with the text I pass to it. Is there a better method of doing this to achieve accurate results?
