I'm using Samsung Galaxy S Plus (I9001).Whenever I connect it to my notebook for charging the touch screen starts acting weird either not responding or responding with lag.I have tried other notebooks, PCs and another USB cables but still problem is there.I also have tried other ROM.

I have a xi electronics chinese crappy tablet, it came pre rooted. So I changed he cpu governor and I pressed apply, after that it stuck , and I needed to reboot using power and vol -It booted up but now my TouchScreen doesnt respond on my touches!, I have already tried factory reset using adb , didn't work.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI dropped my phone and the screen won't turn on and doesn't respond to touch.The insurance company is picking it up tomorrow (*hence the urgency) and would like to get some stuff off it. Most stuff is on my exsd, so I'm not too worried if I have to wipe it, but would prefer only to wipe it once everything is off. I'm rooted and have a custom stock based rom and cwm installed.
Is there any way of doing this? I have the lock pattern enabled so when I plug it in nothing shows up.
If not, then how would I wipe it?
Has anyone else noticed this? With the phone laying on a table/counter/couch, the touchscreen normally doesn't respond at all. When it does, it's very glitchy, and pretty useless for anything that requires a swipe (like navigating home screens). I've tried all sorts of combinations of what finger I use, angle, and pressure, but it seems like as soon as I pick up the phone and do the same thing I was doing, it works fine. Just me or no?

Since rooting the phone has worked fine for 2+ months, however I now have a MAJOR problem, in that the touch screen is behaving very erratically.
It started with the lower menu bar (All programs, phone and + ) not responding. Now if I touch any icon the phone button goes green, or the phone screen comes up, however I cannot enter any numbers! Sometimes I get a random icon flashing round the screen and I can steer it with my finger, but not activate it!
My concern is that if a have to do a re-set or reinstall, I may not be able to do a backup first, as the relevant keys wont respond. Does anybody have any ideas? Might a re-install of the ROM help?
Is it possible from the notebook to connect to the internet using X10. I have a 510 and I can connect to the internet from my notebook through pc suite but I cannot find any pc suite for X10. PC Companion does not do this. my pc suite v6 cannot connect to the X10.
View 6 Replies View RelatedSo I had a stock 4.3 ROM, rooted, and wanted to flash recovery.. so I accidentally flashed a N7100 recovery, hence, phone couldn't respond to TOUCH at all.
I flashed different ROMs and PIT files in order to solve this but it only kept getting my phone worse.
I can go to Download Mode now so what do I do?
I was in the pool when I dropped my phone in it. It was only submerged for about 2 seconds. I was at a friends and they didn't have white rice so i had to put it in brown rice-- all day. Then today I put the battery in it and it acting the same, everything works but when I touch the screen it doesn't do anything. It has now been in a air tight sealed bag full of white rice for about 3 hours... It still doesn't work.. I have college tomorrow and I need my phone...
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have noticed that after the last update, my touch screen doesn't work for a few seconds on random occasions and then works again after about 3 or 4 seconds. when I'm reading a book and they're about to reveal the mystery or enthusiastically playing a game and it stops working, I get increasingly frustrated that I can't turn the page or that I lost the game because during the last few seconds my touchscreen decided to temporarily stop working.. I just want to make sure there's not something wrong internally.

So I finally returned it for a new on. Well find out over the next few days how the battery performs. But the new one has capacitive buttons that barely respond to touch. Particularly the home key and menu key. I've read of a bunch of people having similar problems. Are we just a few unlucky people who happen to be on the forums, or is Samsung having serious Quality control issues here?

I tried to reset by pressing the power, volume-up and home keys at the same time then releasing all three buttons as soon as the Samsung logo appeared, but the option to reset never appeared. I want to receive click events when the user selects the header or a data row (but my data rows have check boxes in them, so this part is tricky). When I use the touch screen, I get this expected behavior:
1. Tapping on any row causes a click event and a dialog appears.
2. Long-pressing on a data row causes a context menu to appear.
3. Long-pressing on the header row does *not* show the context menu.
However, when I use the arrow keys (emulator) or trackball (G1), I get this unexpected behavior:
1. Selecting any row fails to cause any click events, even though the row's appearance changes like it's being clicked.
2. Long-pressing on the header row *does* show the context menu, which I don't want.
3. Occasionally, it doesn't focus the correct row when I move up or down (e.g. it skips from the header to the last data row).
I set an ImageButton's click listener via setOnClickListener(), but it doesn't respond to trackball clicks like a regular Button.

View 3 Replies View RelatedJust a quick question about the Captivate. I just got myself an HTC Aria and I love how easy it is to use the touch screen on it. Its extremely responsive. Now my sister has the SamSung Instinct on Sprint and the touch screen is horrible compared to HTCs touch on the Aria. Im thinking about taking the HTC back to AT&T and getting the Samsung Captivate. I am just worried about the touch screen on it and if it will be like the Instincts? If the touch is as good as HTCs Ill get it. If its not, then Ill stick with the Aria because despite its size, its an extremely fun and responsive phone. Any thoughts?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Qware TB-9718D tablet (rebrand of ployer-momo11-speed) with RK3066 CPU and Android 4.04.
I've installed the CWM-ROM-Ployer_Momo11_3-0-8_M1_software_chinese-version_4-2-2_20130425-4-2& CWM ROM (Android 4.2.2) on the tablet and it boots just fine.
However, the touch screen does not seem to work anymore with this ROM. I have tried two touch screen fixes (which were suggested on another site): one of which was the 907c_compatibility_1.2.0.zip
How to fix the touch screen with this ROM? Could I for example extract the touch screen driver from the original ROM's lib folder and use it in this new ROM?
I was using my phone (droid 3) and the app I was using force closed, my phone lagged for a few seconds and then I just put it down so it could catch up. While waiting the screen timed out and when I went to use it I could not unlock it. I can press the button on top and it will turn the screen on or off, and if I hold it it will bring up the power off menu. I tried to call it, and it went through. I got the normal screen to answer it, but I could not answer it. After I hung up I got the notification for a missed call. Everything seems to be working, my screen just does not respond to a touch. What should I do?

The simple turn off and on the screen fix the problem for a few minutes but then again is not working, and is frozen in the lock screen so i have to do the off/on trick few times to make it responsive. I tried the stock rom the modaco rom and now i am using AOSP JELLY BEAN 4.2.2_r1 but it is all the same. Every time i flashed a rom i did the full wipe. Sometimes is even frozen in recovery mode. It aIso sometimes reboot when it get frozen. I have 1.4a loader and i tried with all the twrp versions now i am on 2.5

Everything worked smooth since 1 year, and 2 days ago suddenly the touch screen stop responding. The phone works, I receive calls but I cannot answer since I cannot swipe. All the side button works, but the front button on the screen (menu, option, back and search buttons) do not work at all. I tried to reboot but nothing. I took sim, battery and microSD out for one entire night and then rebooted in the morning (without sim and microSD) but nothing. I also rebooted the same morning with sim and microSD but nothing. I ended up to try a factory reset even if I dont have a backup but I figured out I cannot do it because when I reboot and press volume up and power button then I cannot press the menu bottom when I see the robot with the box since the menu bottom does not respond!
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy son dropped his Nexus and of course it cracked the glass. The crack is on the side not affecting the view of the face at all and it has a couple of chipped pieces. I was just going to try filling the area with something like silicone, JB Weld, or auto windshield repair.
What I can use that will not interfere with the touch screen. I'm thinking that silicone might be too much like "skin" touching that it might not work.
I have a Chinese touch pad. I tried to install several custom rom (CM9, AOKP, etc ...) as well as Roma manufacturer of tablet very similar to mine (A90 Ampe, Sanei N90, etc ...).The flash firmware or install via Recovery is done very well. The android starts very well. However, the only problem I have is that my touchscreen is not responding.Indeed, I have to connect a mouse to use my tablet.
I love and I think it is possible created a sort of patch to apply via the recovery or via command ADB with the "drivers" of my touchscreen from my original rom.
I already recompiled the image of my ROM so I have access to the entire file structure. But I do not know enough to identify which files that match the drivers of the screen.
I have a Samsung Galaxy i9003(SL). I think there is a problem with touch screen response speed.Although Galaxy SL has a 1 ghz processor and better gpu than SonyEricsson Xperia Mini, It seems that Xperia Mini is faster when we're talking about touchscreen response(messaging,sliding the menu etc)
After trying another lower resolution(i mean lower than galaxy sl) android phones such as galaxy ace, galaxy gio or android sdk(because you can set any resolution with it) I realized touch screen response is related with resolution.
Lower the resolution faster the touchscreen response gets.I found this really annoying. You're paying much more to get a faster and big screen phone. But what you get is slower than the cheaper ones.
Do you think is there a way to lower the resolution on samsung galaxy sl to get a faster response? I found a way to change it but instead of changing the resolution(like 800x480 to 640x360) it changes LCD density and that is not what i want because it does not affect any response speed. or maybe another way? Changing kernel, improving gpu etc?
I flashed a rom then i went to flash gapps the bar was loading then it went off the screen and it didn't do anything.i waited about 5 mins and still nothing.i hit the power button and it shut off i go to turn it on and all there is a blue light where notifications show.black screen nothing else...
