General :: LG Revolution Rooting And ROMs?
Feb 12, 2012I just got a LG revolution for free as a replacement for my Droid X until I can upgrade. and So far I really dig this phone. I miss my 8mp Camera a bit, but that sacrifice is well worth the faster CPU, and the myriad of other improvements and performance boots over the Droid X.
ANYWAYS. So I am not new to rooting or using ROMs, did it all the time on my DX and D2G. But I haven't had a chance to check out whats out there for the Revolution. where i can find the tools i need to root this phone (can i use 4zroot ?) and the how to on it.

May 31, 2012I just installed the Android Revolution ROM for my phone, and I am now unable to get past the boot screen. I've been sitting here waiting for it to boot for 1/2 hour, before I took the battery out and tried booting again. Waited 1/2 hour again. Still no progress.
I had just made my phone S-OFF with SuperCID, and had flashed a new radio.img to my phone as recommended in the thread. After doing that, I went and used SuperWipe, and then I installed Android Revolution. Installation encountered no errors, so i was surprised when I was unable to boot.
I can still access 4ext recovery luckily.
EDIT: Wanted to point out that I was able to boot into my old rom after S-OFF, SuperCID and radio.img, but not after installing revolution rom.
General :: How To Wipe Revolution HD And Go Back To HC Stock Rom On TF101
Mar 18, 2012I've got a TF101, factory stock HC rom, I installed revolution HD (ICS) and it's a nice rom, but it has a few quirks with ICS...so I really really want it to go back to stock rooted + cwm HC, *just* that.
I've tried using cwm 5.5.0.4 and flashing directly the file ww_epad_user-8.6.6.19 which is a HC already prerooted + cwm that I found on the specific XDA forum section, but whenever I reboot the system, go to "about tablet", the SAME firmware is installed (4.0.3) and build number android revolution 3.0.1...I've tried wiping cache, dalvik, tried different roms, using adb to mess around, NOTHING takes me out of revolution HD back to stock.

Everything is woking great since i have flashed it, except for the video part. Before flashing my phone could play vvideos of of any size say 200 0r 400 mb without lagging. But after the flashing the same videos do not play. i have tried almost all the known players, i have also formatted my sd card. other than that the Rom seems to have no problem.
General :: Start Up Sound File Missing After Flashing Android Revolution HD
Dec 14, 2011I followed the effen manual to flash a new ROM for my HCT Desire HD on Monday, December 12th with absolute success. However, I have lost the start up sound file and when I boot my android, it boots in quiet mode. I searched for a solution and found many threads explaining how to disable it, but very little on how to enable it.
The problem is when I open my SDcard and look in the media/audio/notifications all I have is a facebook.mp3 file, I do not have any other files that would allow for the start up sound to open on boot.

Jul 16, 2011I purchased a galaxy s1 on ebay. Probably first mistake as it was "near new". It worked for a little while then started to do weird things, like having the display upside down, different colours in the screen display and not being able to turn on etc. I fiddled around and probably stuffed things up.
I have tried the three button set up system and have have used Kies to update drivers etc.
Now I have a black screen but I hear the start up sounds and the buttons on the bottom light up. No matter what method I try I cannot get the samsung symbol and start up display. I cannot flash because I cannot get any display.
I have purchased a usb jig and am awaiting delivery.Are there other operating systems that I can install. If so, what and how would I go about it.

I tried turning it on and didn't work and so I thought, "Why am I testing it when it died?", so I tried to charge it, the phone went to the "Samsung Galaxy" thingy like the very first thing to see when you just turned it on, but then after a while, it died again, then it does it again, just repeating. I tried using a USB cable and it did the same.

SOD is that the phone goes into deep sleep or u can say it shuts down automatically when your screen is off for about 10 minutes...sometimes you must remount your battery only it will start up...you have to reboot 4 or 5 times a day!!!
I flashed my friend's stock rom from 2.3.4 xxkpn - 2.3.4 xxkph and rooted, deodexed, and have CodeRom v2x-2b flashed.
Everything goes nice and smooth...but the next day it goes SOD even so, i reflashed everything for 3 times but still things don't get solved.
But funny thing is i flashed my Ace with specification above everything is working superbly fine since the 1st day till now, but my friend's Ace goes SOD.
I tried methods such as turning off wifi while screen is off and other methods posted on the internet but still won't work.
