View 2 Replies View RelatedFor the Droid X i want to try to use the froyo update that was leaked before however, I am worried about as to whether or not I can flash back to the stock OS. I see how to do it for other phones and know how to do it for the original droid with much help however, I do not want to do the update until I know there is a way to revert back to 2.1 Also I am using the leaked NON ROOTED 2.2 update if I get an answer on here. I do not like to root only because I am a noob.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently installed the Cyanogen Mod onto my S4 and honestly wasn't impressed with it. How do I uninstall the custom ROM and revert back to the Stock ROM?
It is the T-Mobile Variant (SGH-M919). Can I just restore from a backup before I installed the Cyanogen Mod?
I think I have messed up something whilst rooting my phone. Originally I was on GN's LTE version (4.0.2), currently I am on IMM76I (4.0.4) and my battery doesn't seem to be charging even after plugging in for 2-3 hours. What can i do to go back to my factory settings and have a "stock" image ?
View 5 Replies View Relatedmy question is once i flash is there a way to revert all settings back to the wait it was? for let's say, if something bad happens, i can still go for the warranty on the phone?

I have a rooted Samsung galaxy ace duos...

I have been having a problem with my HTC One phone since I got it. My 4G connection will stay connected for about 30 seconds to a minute, and then it will revert back to 3G. I have already looked this up before and I have done the following:
-Changing my network mode setting to "LTE/CDMA", and then restarting the phone
-Making sure all recent updates have been installed
-Making sure my plan was actually eligible to connect to 4G (it is)
-Making sure there is 4G coverage in my area (again, it is)
-Always leaving "Automatic Connections" on
I just brick it while rooting thru odin. while in process of rooting and give me a result of FAIL. i accidentally click the start without resetting my phone. and now, when im going to open my phone i got this error
"Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
Any link where i can download a stock rom of my phone.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhere can I find the stock apps for gingerbread 2.3.6 for samsung galaxy y duos?
i really need it especially the browser.apk file
i accidentally deleted it and i want it back, i dont want to flash any roms anymore because i bricked my phone a month ago , looking for the proper browser.apk?
I am on android gingerbread 2.3.6 in samsung galaxy y duos (rooted).
My main problem with Cyanogenmod is that the default Touchwiz camera app is the best free camera app I have seen, and even more so for the video camera.
I tried taking the Camera .apk file, but I just get a message saying "application not installed" when I try to install it, and "there was a problem parsing the package" if I try to install it from /root.
Yes unknown whatever installs are allowed. And I've tried a hundred and seven different installer/file manager apps, but they all direct me to the same default installer.
Other apps I'd want to take are the calculator and video player.
my phone is not booting into stock recovery and it is stuck in boot loop, only download mode is working.
I have downloaded the firmware rom . and Flash it many time through Odin 3.07 and it's still stuck in boot loop.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 (GT-19300) international version. I rooted it last night. Took a custom backup of ROM and backup using Titanium backup. I installed cyanogenmod 9 on it today. It was working perfectly. Then when i installed Google apps (gapps) and restarted it got stuck on the bootscreen. I hardbooted and now all i see is this fuzzy black n white screen ( like static). I tried going into clockworkmod recovery but still the same screen. However, i can still go to odin mode.
So i guess i have to install stock firmware through odin now. But i'm unable to download the firmware. All links are on hotfile and as everyone knows , it sucks :/ download stops after 2 min. Cant find a mirror also.
I've tried downloading it many times but failed
I have a galaxy sII (i91000) and i really want the stock calendar apk from the galaxy sIII. I searched xda before but there are like 3 apk's for it. splanner.apk, seccalender.apk and seccalendarprovider.apk but i dont know which is which.
how i manage to do that?
Device: Samsung galaxy i9100 sII
Rom: CyanogenMod 10.1 nightly
Recovery: CWM 6.0.2.9
Apps: ES File explorer, titanium backup and superuser
I really liked the Jelly Bean, but I want original s3 motion settings back. Is there any ROM or theme out there which can do this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedLast week, I flashed my LG Nexus 4 (16GB) phone with stock Android 4.4 (Official Image), before that I was on CyanogenMod 10.1.3 Stable.
Now, for some reason I didn't like the stock 4.4 and tried to Flash back my CyanogenMod 10.1.3 from CWM "Install ZIP" but the problem I'm facing is that it CyanogenMod doesn't boot, hangs on "Spiral Splash Screen". Then I tried Flashing CM 10.0 stable, still loops into boot forever and at times boots (after 15-20 minutes of booting on spiral splash screen) and doesn't recognise SIM card, Camera, Storage, WIFI or anything.
Then after getting fed up with this I tried flashing MIUI V5. This also takes a 15-20 to boot and fails to recognise - SIM, WiFi, Camera etc.
So lastly like a loser I flashed back my Android 4.4 it works fine.
I've my boot-loader in unlocked state.
and Yes before flashing CM or MIUI, I did - wipe data/factory, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache from CWM Recovery.
So I want to get back into CyanogenMod 10.1 stable.
how do i revert back to the 2.1 i was previously running. right now i have kaosfroyo and don't like it. can anybody tell me how?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've tried searching all over the place but can't find an answer. How do I revert back to S-ON with my Incredible. I'm bringing my phone into Verizon for a problem that the 2.2 update gave me with 3G issues and I need to turn S-ON. Do I have to revert back to 2.1 and do it from there or can I do it on 2.2?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI understand the stock shipped RUU is floating around some of the forums. Is it possible to get back to the stock 2.1 release?
My EVO won't sleep and is eating through the battery in just a matter of hours.
I really don't want to spend time troubleshooting the issues as 2.1 was working perfectly for me.
I bought the beautiful widgets for the clock, I loved the look of the clock. Now after the last update, its uglier than hell. Its some digital looking thing. Is it possible to revert it back?
View 11 Replies View RelatedSo a friend just received his new Inc, and immediately took the upgrade, so now he's sitting at stock 2.2. I'm thinking the answer is no, but want to confirm that there is no way to root 2.2, or to revert back to 2.1 so he can root, right?
View 4 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to manually revert back to the older version of some apps? the new update of the g4 app sucks because the videos aren't high-res anymore.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIf this is posted somewhere else. i'm just not liking the 2.2 thing. it's buggy, and kinda lagging.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI think I tried to longpress in the text entry field and find another option but two things about the keyboard really irk me.
1. You cannot enable an autospace to be inserted after you choose an autocorrect word option.
2. I'm just not a fan of the long press on letters to access symbols/numbers.
Maybe I'm spoiled by the Droid but can you swap the text input to the standard keyboard?
I have another posting about my Verizon network settings getting screwed up by a widget, and assuming that I need to restore my phone, I'd like to see how to do it while keeping root. If I use the built-in option to restore factory settings, will I keep root and the super-user apk? I'm not downgrading anything, I didn't do any OTA leaks; I'm curious about restoring my phone to factory settings while retaining root.
