i want to uninstall superuser from my phone without losing root and i have superSU(i want it insted of superuser). i can't uninstall it normally like other app but i can from system cleaner So how do i do it without losing my root

I am using Omnirom, I have installed Supersu. However, when I open apps that needs Su permission. It does not prompt out the allow permission window. It seems the Su does not work. Do I need to root Omnirom first? Or something I missed?

My understanding is that I will need to unlock the boot loader, and then install "something" to create the Super User account.
I Updated my HTC EVO DESIGN 4G acidently. now the super user had denied any root access request!

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm currently running bb.05, every time I click super user it just force closes. All of my rooted apps open and run fine. Has anyone else experienced this? I restarted my phone but it had no affect.
TIBU works, SetCPU works, Screenshots force closes and SU force closes.
and since the app is still there I cant root because my phone things I'm still rooted and I cant remove the app because I'm not rooted After looking around I will probably need the sbf file to resolve this issue.

When i tried this method and typed in su to start the process it would say "permission denied". Do i have to reroot my phone again in order to get rid of these two apps? I'm doing this in order to take my phone to verizon. Do you guys think its necessary to make it perfectly clean of any "rooted" things? It is now unrooted it just has those two icons!! so frustrating. read somewhere else that if these icons are still there that i am still rooted...is this true? also I do not care if i lose everything... I just want my phone restored to factory settings so i can take it in to verizon..

I am creating an alternative keyboard. In order to help users understand how to set up the IME after it is installed I have added a simple Main Activity that appears in the Application Launcher with set up and usage instructions. I also have a preferences Activity and I want the user to have an option to hide or show the setup instructions Activity if they don't want to see it any more. My question is how best I can do this? I am assuming if it is possible it would require overriding the IntentFilter for the setup instruction Activity. I have experimented with this and read through the Intents and IntentFilter documentation but I can't see how to do this.

Few questions on Android because I want to do a "super cleaning" on my mobile. I have an LG Optimus L7 P705g , not sure how it's called elsewhere.
I have rooted my device about a month ago and downloaded Avast + installed Avast AntiTheft, only that when the installation finished I didn't said it was installed so idk what happened there.
1) How can I be sure if the AntiTheft is installed or not?
2) When installing root apps and regular apps, how can you notice? I mean, can I install a root app and not be aware of it?
3) If i do a Hard reset the root apps stay on the phone? In that case which "Root uninstaller" would you recommend ?
4) Doing hard reset is bad for the device?
5) I rooted my phone with SuperSU by ChainFire, to start my mobile from 0 I have to go to the SuperSU app tap "unroot" and then do the hard reset?
All in all what I want to do is to have my device as new. Without any trace of all this time I've been using it.

I held the down/power on, went under recover, install sd/update.zip (i changed the name) and it's keeps telling me the file is invalid or unreadable.
Is this even the right file? I just need the stock 2.2 build w/sense.
got all the threads on the net about unrooting but my problem is this when i got into recovery mode a evo with a triange and a ! come up, cant get into recovery i guess not very good at this any help would be great, i need to take back to sprint, gets real hot and shuts off randomly.

with the 2.2 OTA coming I decidied I would go back to the stock recovery and accept the OTA, well I was able to flash in HBOOT to get back to eveyrthing stock, it now says hboot .77, and the right radio, but when I reboot, it just boot loops, and wont load up, so I hboot and put clockwork back on since I have S-OFF, and tryed loading a nandroid and the same thing.
View 6 Replies View RelatedHad a couple of unsuccessful attempts at flashing kaosfroyo-v31.zip that I got from the xda forum. Thought I would try flashing v30 first, then flashing v31 on top of that, but when I got to the amon bootloader, my trackball would not scroll down.
I want to call Verizon and get my second replacement phone sent out, but I'm afraid of sending this phone in and they hitting me with a $300 bill because of it being rooted. Anyone have any ideas on how to unroot without using the trackball?
Seems like a lot of people are having trackball issues with the Eris. I've had to get my wife's Eris replaced because of trackball issues. Wish they would send me an Incredible or something else other than this Eris. I only rooted to get what they had in the first place.
So I have the Froyo Leak (ROM, no radio) based off of the official Froyo leak (I have the 2.05 radio). I want to unroot and go back to the stock 2.1 so that I can upgrade to the official 2.2 OTA from Verizon (then I'll re-root, that's another story though).

I got my galaxy s today... quickly tried some stuff, and i pretty much like it so far. But i do have some questions about unrooting and flashing.
1. Its currently branded and its eclair 2.1, should i flash an official generic froyo, or some custom rom like doc froyo 7.6.2?
2. If i were to root my phone, would i need to unroot it before flashing new rom? If so how would i do it (is factory reset enough or not)?
3. Which lagfix should i use after updating to froyo, that would be pretty easy to use and not cause data corruption or something like that?
Im sending in my droid to verizon since my power button was not working and they sent me a replacement. Before I sent it in I wanted to remove root so I went into rom manager and chose a stock image to flash hoping it would do the job. Unfortunately, after I did it Superuser permission is still there. I would just use RSD Lite but since I cant get my phone to access the boot loader screen I cant get RSD Lite to recognize my phone. I was going to try to flash the older stock image from rom manager thinking maybe that would work but now when I try and flash any rom through rom manager I get this message; "an error occurred while attempting to run privileged commands". I also read that maybe quick boot would do the trick but it just force closes every time, making me think that maybe the phone isnt rooted but just has superuser permission listed(is that possible)? Is my phone still rooted?
