View 1 RepliesWhen I download an app, does it save to the phones memory or the SD card?? Also, when I'm in "bulk storage" mode when plugged into my PC via the USB, I assume the window that pops up is the SD card as opposed to the phone memory?? Is there any way to check what is saved to either location?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI downloaded Open Home with the DarkHero skin. In doing so, it made my wallpaper resolution 960x854. So rather than each window having a separate wallpaper, it is now one big one, just like the Moto Droid. Which is awesome in my opinion. The problem is setting new wallpapers. Is there a way to manually save downloaded wallpapers to the stock Wallpaper Gallery, rather than the Photo gallery where all of my camera photos are stored? I only ask because it keeps asking me to crop these 960x854 photos and select which window I'd like to change, when I don't want to do any cropping.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Motorola Moto G 8GB which is running very low on storage (only about 800mb left). This phone does not take Micro SD cards but it comes with 50GB Google Drive storage. However i haven't used this at all. I am wondering whether i could download android apps and games to google drive, dropbox etc. Games like Real Racing take up about 1GB so i cannot download it to my phone. Can i download it to the Cloud? If this is not possible, is there any way that i could save the app data on the cloud. E.g. The Simpsons: Tapped Out is about 37mb to download off the play store, but then you must download the updates etc which are about another 250mb. is there anyway to save this 250mb on the cloud. Or any other games data.

It said it worked, in fact it gave me 3 icons saying it downloaded but when I pressed them they just disappeared and din't do anything. I know that pictures I've downloaded go to my gallery and I can get them there but where might this file be?

I downloaded the Go Launcher app but see that there is no Go Store with it to download widgets, etc. There is a folder that was added listed as "Go Apps" which contains the launcher, widgets, and themes. Go Widgets tells me I have installed all GoWidgets and if I want more to go to the GO Store.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have downloaded a couple apps recently while in an area with a low signal. Not realizing that my phone was just waiting for the market to acknowledge the request I told it to download multiple times. As soon as I realized that it was downloading multiple copies I canceled all of them that I could, however, there was one that I could not cancel.
When I would check the market it would not say that I was downloading anything, but my notifications area showed that clearly I was. Once the download finished the app did not install. Now I'm stuck thinking that the data downloaded for the app is taking up space on my phone but I cannot find it to remove it.
I assume that the apk is just sitting somewhere taking up space but I cannot find it to remove it. I can download and install the app again, but that doesn't work the fact that this 8mb downloaded for the app the first time is sitting on my phone somewhere unused since the market did not acknowledge/track it.
So, in my download album it says I have 140 photos but when I access the album, it only shows like 20??? Why?
Also I just downloaded a dozen photos sms they don't show in this album ??
So, a few weeks ago, after having continuous problems with my phone (it kept giving me a storage capacity full warning, even though I had deleted most of my apps and all my text messages and the phone storage info on the phone said I had plenty of storage) I figured maybe I had too many pictures in my phone. I had about 375. I had never downloaded them to my computer before. So we went ahead and downloaded my photos. Too my suprise there were numerous images that came up on my computer, presumably from my phone, that were not in my pictures. Some were obviously from websites (pics of yahoo mail and such) but pics from what I would assume were from a website that I had never seen, ie. a resturant I had never been to, and a few questionable websites if you know what I mean. Nobody else has access to my phone. Where did these images come from? Was it a virus, or something attached to another website, or what??
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have downloaded the source code for my device - Lenovo S6000-H from the lenovo website but after reading many guides cant figure out how to compile it as all the rest use git to get the source. I also dont think I need to change any enviromental variables as its the source for my model.
Using ubuntu 12.04.3 with JDK 6u35 and have the latest Android JDK/NDK I have downloaded and install all needed programs and set up all my paths in ~/.bashrc
There isnt a single make file I can use to compile the whole system or does it need to be done in individual parts? Couldnt find a lunchrc file either so unsure on how to compile it to get a flashable rom..
I have downloaded hdwin player. It only works on rooted phones. So then I start researching rooting my phone. Checked out urevoked web site, that software doesn't recognize my phone. I also checked into z4root upon more research ,this is only a temporary root. In the friggin 5 hr. Reading process I managed to spider my phone screen, and break the screen on my personal laptop. All I am tryin to do is be able to play a movie on my phone and have it appear on the t.v.
View 4 Replies View RelatedII have a Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0. I'm mostly using it to do all my uni readings/annotations. When I clicked on a PDF on my university page, it downloaded & delivered itself to the download app.
Within the PDF are links to online journal articles that I need to access. However when I have the PDF opened (I was reading it in Kindle) I can't click on any of the links/hypertexts.
So I guess my questions are:
1. How do I get my links back to being clickable!
2. If this involves opening it in a different app, which ones is best?
3. Any other tips for a literally brand new android user...or links?
I have a nexus 4 with the latest version.
About a month ago i noticed that contrary to before, pics i download from the web cant be seen in any app.
I only see them in the dowloads folder, and when i open them i dont have a share option, only "details", "print" and "set as".
I have downloaded several pdf ebooks and uploaded to play book via Google play book app. When I try to read them, that pdf files pages are not fully fit to the screen. But when I read the Google play auto added books, they are fitted with the screen height and width. Is it a pdf file issue? If it's my pdf issue, how do I correct them?

I am planning to factory restore my phone. I have purchased lots of apps from Google play store. I do not want all the apps to be downloaded. How can I prevent all apps from getting downloaded to my phone? There is a firmware upgrade waiting to be installed right now. is it possible to delete the firmware? I do not want to put that on my phone....
View 2 Replies View RelatedI rooted my phone last night and it worked and all that and I got the SuperUser app. But before I go into more detail, I have the Galaxy s3 I737 or whatever it is for at&t. I decided that I wanted to put a custom ROM on. I downloaded ROM manager from the play store and then opened it up and downloaded CM 10.1 build and the GApps for it also. I clicked all of the boxes for it to make a back up and to wipe all that stuff also and then it started loading and all that. After it was done loading, the phone restarted and had the little CM guy on there and it had the CM boot logo it said that Setup Wizard has stopped and that the process URL.... has stopped.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI can purchase music in the new Market tab, but even when it shows up as purchased I can't find it in PowerAMP. I don't want to use Google's music app because it's sorely lacking in comparison, and I'm really hoping it's not downloading to the "cloud" or whatever because I want it on my phone. I also don't want to have to sync my music every single time I buy something, or have music syncing on all the time because that would drain my battery faster.
I would think it would work like an app - you buy, it downloads. That seems logical. But it doesn't seem to be working like that.
I just got my first smartphone and downloaded some apps off the play market. However, an icon never appeared on my home screen that links to them. I can access them by opening the market back up, searching for the app, and running it there. But I can't seem to figure out how to make a shortcut.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have created a Black and Pink Glass theme for Go launcher that installs and loads fine. When I upload the theme to the android market and then its downloaded from the market and installed it installs as a .zip file instead of an .apk file. I have several other themes that are working fine. I have tried rebuilding it from scratch and the issue is still there. I have attached the android manifest.xml for reference.
