I have a Samsung Nexus S (Not the 4g version) I just picked up and the radio seems to not be functioning. No matter which sim card I insert into this thing the radio still comes up with zero bars I've switched the roms around a few times and I'm currently downgrading to the PeterAlfonso's Bugless Beast with the custom kernel in hopes that maybe flashing these two things may have a positive effect on my issue.

For anybody who is interested, the FM radio capability as seen on the HTC Desire phone, will be available for the Nexus on the next Modaco Sense ROM release (will be r.23 fixed due to a new kernel it seems (intersectraven's)Just had an interesting twitter feed and thought I would share.Not really interested in switching to Sense for this functionality but somebody may have been waiting for this

On the same note:
1) How do I update the profile? I do not see an option anywhere in the settings.
2) How do you load a radio rom - I'm guessing this is something that is causing my internet issue.

Nothing I do can get rid of it, It won't even turn off.If your quick enough after accepting the OK option you can get it to say access the emails but you can't get any further.Its become totally useless.
LG Nexus 5. For the 2nd time in a month my Swiftkey (paid version) has stopped working. Grrr. The only way I could get it working again was uninstall and reinstall. Nothing else worked. I sent a support request to Swiftkey on this (no response yet). Any way to prevent it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI own a Chevy Camaro SS 2012 that has Bluetooth handsfree built in. Works like a charm with my friends LG phone with Android, as well as with my company iPhone 4S.
But with my Samsung Galaxy Nexus running native Android 4.2.2 it will pair just fine, but I am only able to hear the sound and use the mic in the car, but not engage any functions nor access the contacts list. So I cannot answer calls, or make new ones etc...
The problem is not in the car as it works fine with other phones, and I've tried to reset everything on both the phone and in the car and then re-pair them, without any success. Nobody on the Camaro forums knows how to proceed.
I have a Google galaxy nexus ( from Google). The Google now works as far as voice recognition and asking questions, however cards are not displayed and at the bottom of the Google now screen I do not have a area that is supposed to have "more Google cards" button. I have activated everything I can think of and cards still do not display. I even allowed google to save web searches on my account ( its active). It also said to tap in the Google now window go to settings and then "Google now" to turn on or off....well I do not have a "Google now" option....strange! I am on 4.1 Jelly Bean ( did not root ) its standard upgrade.

Notifications are enabled in Google Now settings, sound is turned on. I confirmed that the notification was added, the card shows in the list and has the correct time, but except for one attempt it never makes a sound or adds anything to my notifications. The same goes for alarms added via Google Now.
I have this same problem on Nexus 7 (latest Android) and HTC One (4.1), both with latest version of Google Now.
This is a very important function to me for a smart phone, I don't want to deal with a fiddly UI for this sort of thing when Google's voice recognition works so well. For something so basic to not work is very frustrating, considering how well I know this works on iPhone with Siri.
I've updated my phone (nexus 4) to 4.3 And can't seem to be able.to setup exchange email account This used to work fine prior to update Symptoms using default email client Waiting to sync forever "couldn't open connection to server" msg I can sync 'Sent' mail folder but not the 'Inbox'!
Using TouchDown it will sync the calendar but not the mail.Tried switching auto sync data on and off, deleting and reinstating account, restarting phone - in various combinations nothing works.

I linked the apk so how to mod this to work on ICS. Don't want the version available in market/play because only the CM7 version has Droid blue background and I really like that.

I'm on Fresh and the FM radio tuner has been removed. It's in the "Fresh-removed-apks-3" folder. I tried installing from HtcFMradio.apk using ES File Explorer and I keep getting "Application not installed". I copied and pasted it to the sdcard main folder and tried from there and get the same issue. I also tried File Manager and AppInstaller.
I found another .apk online and tried installing from that apk, now I get a force close every time I try to run it. I read somewhere that wiping the data using Settings > Applications > Manage Apps > All, etc then resetting it works, but Clear Data was grayed out. I wiped the data with Titanium and then reset but I'm still getting a force close...
My N1 was sitting on my desk 5 bars 3G and WiFi on. I went to send a text and it failed. Tried a different number and it failed. Tried making phone calls and nothing happened. Turned off the WiFi and noticed I had 5 bars but no 3G or E symbol. I just got a network error when trying to access web pages. I rebooted the phone and it was fine. If this happens I will not know it and miss important calls, sms etc Still got data on the wifi. If this happens again I am going to have to switch back to my trusty iPhone. As much as I want to love the radio software/reception has some serious issues. Based on research on the forums I don't think it is my unit thats faulty esp since a reboot fixed it. I realy hope HTC/Google releases a better radio FW for this device or its going back within the 30 days.

It would be real nice to get it working so I can use it while I'm walking. If I don't find a solution eventually I am going to take it into sprint and see if its defective and get and exchange for another Evo.
View 24 Replies View RelatedSo I just received my sprint Evo last night and the 4g radio wasn't working. I did the master reset etc., all troubleshooting possible I used to work for data support for a wireless carrier so I was familiar with what needed to be done. I called and after talking to a few people they agreed to send me a replacement, charged my card for the replacement said I would be refunded when they got the other phone back.
So today at work the evo froze. I opened it up and realized that the water indicators for the battery and the phone were showing red. I hadn't even had the phone for a day and it was nowhere near water. I called support and the tech guy I spoke with said that they would just replace the phone and probably wouldn't ask any questions and refund my money. I am just curious if I should be concerned with having to hassle with sprint when they get the phone back. I don't know if this happened in transit or on the manufacturers end. I am also not sure if that technicians word means anything.
I had A online radio working last week. I just tried it now and it doesn't stream anything. Anyone have problems with this or anything like that? I uninstalled and reinstalled the program and same affect, starts to buffer then just says "stopped". Pandora is working fine for me.

View 5 Replies View RelatedHad a few days of use without issues, go to make a call yesterday and it takes ages to connect, but instead of connecting I get a beep and then it returns me to my contact list. Tried putting the phone in and out of flight mode by holding down the power button and selecting the flight mode option, the option turns grey after I press it, won't allow me to press it again and seemingly does nothing. Press the off option and turn the phone back on and it's fine. Now I reckon I had suffered this with earlier firmwares.

When I put the phone at speaker phone then they can hear me. I did factory reset but no luck.What could be the problem? What if I want to send it to repair at google/HTC?
If I ship it with DHL/FedEX to UK. Do I need to pay import duties while sending or receiving back?
