View 4 RepliesI am trying to capture screenshots of a Sony Ericsson Arc (Android 2.3.1) using Android SDK's Dalvik Debug Monitor. However, the screenshots are red tinted. e.g.
note that I have taken perfectly colored screenshots of my HTC Desire (Android 2.2) using this same method.
So the pictures I take sync with google drive, but not the screenshots.
I am using a samsung galaxy s4, i9505.
One of the lacking features of my trusty iPhone has been the lack of a zoom feature on the camera. Last week I purchased the new Galaxy S4 Zoom and cannot tell you how very happy I am with the zoom feature. I am still exploring the Android operating system and having a good time.
However, I cannot find out how you capture the screen. This is a simple operation on the iPhone (two buttons held), and have to believe that the same is true with the Galaxy Zoom.
Our family is really into weather stuff and I often capture a screen image from WeatherBug and email it to the kids.
I've been seeing screenshots appearing in my gallery without me remembering taking them. What app is taking those screenshots, or a way to fix it? Nexus 7
View 1 Replies View RelatedAny way to have screenshots taken with the device, or downloaded photo's, be directed to the instant upload feature?
Seems like instant upload pulls from the camera folder only.
Screenshots are saved to their own folder, as well as images saved from browser/apps, which would appear to exclude them from instant upload.
Maybe even a way for screenshots to default save into the camera folder? Likewise for downloads?
i would like to change the save path of my screenshots. The pictures i take with my camera automatically go to my external SD card, but not my screenshots for some reason.
My phone is a Note 3 if that matters.
its possible to change the location of screen shots in ICS and if so, how? Ive dug around to no avail. I tried switching the camera option to go from internal to external but that only did it for the camera roll, not screen shots.
View 1 Replies View RelatedOk so pictures and videos appear to automatically backup with Google+, but I restored my phone and my screenshots didnt come over! Is there a way to adjust the settings to also backup screenshots? I have look and cannot find it.
If this is not an option, what are the other best screenshot backup methods? (note I have an unrooted phone)
It all started with a awesome home page and wanting to screenshoot it and finding out my Droid2 did not have software or shortcut keys like my GT7 to do this. So I read for some time until I felt confident in a safe rooting procedure which turned out to be the "Z4Root App". It's ridicously easy with the Droid2, download it, install it, open it, click "root permantley" and bang you've been granted root_access. After rooting I went with Screenshot Ultimate which claims screenshots can be done w/o Root which turned out to be untrue but w/root it works without a hitch. Unfortunately, it saves your screenshots in a very stupid place but you can access them through a file manager not the gallery but none the less it has accomplished the goal. Im curious to see how far root_access can take me
View 2 Replies View RelatedI got a Brand new Samsung Galaxy Mini 2, great device, everything is perfect only problem I got is that when I'm in Google Play and want to look at the screenshots of an app, and swipe between them the device freezes, then vibrates and sends me back to Google Play, sometimes it gives me an error message, I have done like 3 factory resets but it doesn't fix it,
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have an LG G2 (D801) running Cloudystock ROM and yesterday my Amazon app stopped showing pictures. Then I noticed the Amazon App Store app wasn't showing any pictures or screenshots either. I tried clearing cache and data and uninstalling both apps, no difference. I also noticed this morning that even going to Amazon.com on Chrome on my phone won't load images there either. I attached a few screenshots to show what's going on. I should also note that before yesterday, both apps worked just fine on this same setup.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI use Chrome browser on my Android and I used to be able to go into my bookmarks and add a bookmark to my home screen well now I don't see that option anymore. I'm using the s3 and haven't tried it since my phone updated to 4.3 so I'm wondering did they remove it with that update or with a Chrome update or just change how it's done?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI can't add a shortcut to a Phone app (it's the app where you enter dial numbers, call someone). Need it on my home screen, but there wasn't it when flashed the rom, in drawer too. And no options which can add it. I'm using CM 10.
View 1 Replies View Related1. Is it possible to replace homescreen with app launcher? I mean when you press home button, homescreen shows up, is it possible to force phone to open app drawer instead of homescreen when you press home button?
2. Or/and maybe there is a launcher which shows all your apps not alphabetically but by date and also with ability to arrange the apps however you want?
I am looking for one setting or utility in Android systems generally, I will try to explain problem: I have one 7" tablet (Emgeton Consul 3 with 4.0.4 ICS) and Phone (Samsung Galaxy Young) with Jellyblast 3.0.4 rom?/mod? (claims about itself it is android 4.1.1).
I have three desktops (homescreens?) on phone. Moving finger left get me to desktop number 2 (right of 1), if i do it again, i am at the third desktop and from the third by swiping finger i will get to first. This is beaviour i dont want to. I want to go 1 >> 2 >> 3 >> and stop. And ofcourse back 3>> 2 >> 1 and stop. This is how is my tablet working, and I want to "tell" phone to behave the same. Have you experiences with some setting / utility / system modification that can do it ?
So I have a folder on my home screen, in which I've saved a bunch of navigation shortcuts to use with Google Navigation. I want to know if there is any way to backup this folder to my SD card so that I may restore it after switching over to a new ROM.

View 3 Replies View RelatedThis question might be specific to HTC phones, but I'm not sure. I have various bookmarks for sites with decent webapps that I'd like to have as icons on my homescreen. What I would like is for their icons to be specific to the site (like iOS or BlackBerry), but instead what happens is I get the ugly red HTC Sense bookmark icon for each of them. Any way to get the site-specific icons to appear (or if it's even possible)?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought a Samsung Galaxy S2 a couple of days ago and since then i've tried to get my e-mail settings sorted out. I have been searching the internet for a long time without finding a solution.
My problem is that i have 4 e-mail accounts and 3 of them i need constantly. My phone can show my e-mails on a nice widget on the homescreen using the default "e-mail" labeled widget3 . However i cant choose which e-mail account i want it to show. Now all i have is 4 times the same nice widget showing me the same e-mail account's 3 newest posts.
I have tried several other e-mail clients but all of them have the same problem. I really like the default client which is bundled on the phone, but it won't do me any good if i cant see all my accounts.
As stated in the title I would like to know where exactly the default homescreen wallpaper image is stored on the ICS file system?
I am using version 4.0.3
Say for example I have a friend with a cool background wallpaper and that I want a copy of it. Where exactly would I look in the android file system on his phone to get a copy of it?
Note: I do not want to download an app which manages my wallpaper images I want to find out how it works on ICS so that I can manage it myself.
I googled a bit and found the tutorial below at the end of this email. It would appear that (on Gingerbread) wallpaper is managed by framework-res.apk
When I looked however at the different png files in "framework-res/res/drawable-hdpi" on my ICS installation I nothing what so ever that looks like my current home screen.
The wallpaper is stored under the system/media
On ICS I have 4 folders at that level
alarms
notifications
ringtones
ui
On ICS there are no images in any of these folders. The above was most likely true for Gingerbread but not ICS.
Is wallpaper managed by the launcher or by ICS itself?
I am looking for a way to remove apparently names from the homescreen and just have the icons. Anyway to do this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have about 150 apps installed, but only 30 of them are currently on the homescreen.
Is there a way to add the remaining 120 at once to the homescreens?
If I would have to do it manually (Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1) it would take at least an hour to do (adding one shortcut is extremely slow, as my tab needs about 10 seconds to display the list of apps alone when creating a shortcut).I don't have to do it manually for each app.
iam looking for a camera application, where i can set the settings as a widget.
Example: when i want to make a hdr shoot i want to start camera with hdr widget, when i make a normal shot i want to start camera with normal widget ...
What app can let me Swipe from left (bottom) to go homescreen. I've use swipeback from Xposed but i want to go home (like press home buttom) not just go back.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter Constantly losing certain Links, I came up with what I thought was a "Bright Idea" to Save all my Bookmarks in a Folder on my Homescreen...
But anyways, Now I'm wondering how the Hell am I going to Back them up if I want to Switch Roms or something?
Could Titanium Backup, Back them up?
do you know what app/widget that is on the left? Maybe, do you know similar apps that can show all kinds of notifications on homescreen (not lockscreen)?
The screenshot was on Simple Calendar Widget but it has to be another app.
I use Nova launcher. I am on a moto X inches btw. I'm not tied strongly t move launcher.
Basically, I want to crop widgets like the Google keep widget (u only need quick keep text not the list picture etc) and other widgets. Is there a launcher or a way to do this? I can resize them, but I'd like to crop them

View 13 Replies View RelatedI just rooted my android (LG p500) and was removing bloatware using titanium backup. I accidentally deleted something which caused the homescreen to go black with no widgets showing, I cant even see the menu. I can still see and work with the top bar. When the phone is locked I can see the wallpaper I had but as soon as I unlock it goes black again.
