Within the last week my tablet stating running very slow.
Pages take a long time to load Apps take forever to load Apps crash every other time I open them.
I thought it was my router (netgear n600) but my iPad and cell phone.

My sdcard has been taking awfully long to mount to USB. It used to be almost instantaneous like your average USB thumbdrive or external hard disk. Im on a non-rooted nexus one running froyo. Any suggestions?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a used, but in good condition Optimus V. Not a great phone, but it does what I need. However, in the past couple days I've found that when the phone does its auto-timeout, it takes up to ten seconds for it to switch back on. By that I mean that when I press the power button just to get to the passcode screen (not to turn the whole thing on), it takes much longer than it did when I first got it.
I've uninstalled recent apps, but it's done nothing. What to do?
i have rooted my Samsung Galaxy y duos lite[GT-S5302] , and installed jellybean 4.2 , i could not connect my device to computer and even Samsung kies displays : device is taking long time fo responding , how to reinstall 2.3.6 gingerbread ? or any other options?
View 8 Replies View RelatedJust got the phone and loving it so far but im having major issue's with You Tube, Most video's take about 5 mins to load in low quality and in high quality it can take upto 30 mins or more which of course by that time the phone locks and the video has to restart again.
Any suggestions as to why it takes so long? Also is there a setting for video's to automatically start in high quality? And for the phone not to lock?
Web pages seem to load very slowly on my N1, when not using wifi. I use an orange SIM card that I got with my old nokia N82, which was a 3g phone. I always struggled with internet speeds with that phone too. I do get the "G" and the arrows below it flashing away as suggest 3g is working. Maybe I expect too much, but Jesus it can be frustrating!

1) Is there a way to avoid notification sounds to take place during media playback, mainly music player, without having to change my sounds profile to silent, or vibrate?

Since the updates, it is taking ages to calculate route, so long in fact that I exit the programme and start again, and then I just give up and dig out my atlas.

I have a nexus one also and did a quick comparison... both have relatively the same apps ( i keep them as synced as possible)
Now its not really an Apples to Apples Comparison as I have Froyo running on nexus but what made me raise an eyebrow was when the little Loading Indicator doesn't smoothly move while its loading.

YouTube videos takes longer to load. My browser sometimes doesn't load web pages completely and the speeds are way slower then 3g... Well atleast on my end... I'm in Baltimore and 4g is very much up and running. Not ranting, its just that 4g was one of sprints selling points, jus think it could be a bit better.

I have profiled the app to narrow it down to the act of moving the Cursor to the first row of the result set for a simple select query (only returning 1 row where I'm testing it to eliminate the size of the result set as a problem.
Are there any better options for moving to the start of the result set?

this runs 3 times and i have time it to approximately 2 secs for all the rest of the code or over a minute with this in.
i have also run just the rawQuery statement with out the move to first and its takes bout 18 secs so im looking at the worst part of the code first.
With a largely white image on screen, if you tilt the phone to the left, does it take on a pinkish hue? Also, does adding a Shortcut -> Application take insanely long to load every single time? I just want to make sure I'm not the only one experiencing this.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIve had my evo since day one.Absolutely love it.It's just that within the last month it's been taking awhile to open anything.If I click on mail it seems as though it stalls for awhile, then "loading" screen then it opens.Same thing with the messenger to check my text.Again with the loading screen which stays open longer than it use to. Ive tried to reboot here and there but it doesn't seem to make any difference.I just miss the way my phone use to run and open everything up so quickly.Im not complaining, if this is normal than o.k.I can wait a few more seconds.Is it that I have too many apps.Ive used up most of my space on my sd card, is that it?I have my phone stock.Is it time to root and will this solve my problem?
View 5 Replies View RelatedHave tried to download the uninstaller application but after trying it twice for 4 hours each I have given up.Does anyone have any ideas why downloading this app takes so long - it is also the same for the Xpedia flashlight app which I have tried separately. In fact any application seems to take an eternity.
They apps say they are downloading but they are not very large apps so should be there is a flash but after 4 hours I am still waiting.Have tried the switch off/on but still it takes ages - I have full signal (not 3G though) and it doesn't download.
Sometimes (it's not usual, but sometimes it happens) my phone (Nexus one, CM7) runs quite slowly, and not fluent at all, just because of an app that is eating all the memory / processor. If I kill that app, problem solved.
When this happened the first time, I went to the running services section in settings, and I checked that the services listed are not ALL the running processes, so even if I kill all the services there, there are still running apps. Then, I tried to install several app killers, just to check if they kill all the running apps, but not only they don't list all the running apps, but also when killing all, there are still apps that keep running (like some games), and the only way I found to find them is checking one by one in the apps list, if they are running or not.
Is there any app to check at once ALL the running apps? I have looked for it, but all I have found are apps to do exercise ("running apps", D'oh!), and stuff like that?
I've have a Nexus 7 2012 running 4.3. On a clean install, the running apps tab in the settings showed Used RAM equal to 450 MB.
After installing some apps, now the Used RAM shows to be 560 MB. I haven't installed apps that throw push ads or run background processes. I do have some free apps that show ads though.
I tried to stop cached processes an d running processes, bur that increased the RAM use. Even app ops doesn't list all my apps. Is there any way I can reduce this RAM usage?
I own HTC Desire (Bravo). I rooted my phone year ago or so, tried different ROMs etc. I dont remember when exactly, but my Google play store is loading pages really slow. I am not in US, I doubt its carrier based issue..
Currently I'm using CM..I think its 8 or 9, not sure of the version because recently my ROM manager app stopped working. (Will try to reinstall it when I get calm enough to open Google Play Store again )
On the startup it says CM 7 (mod) but I think it does so for all versions. I flashed CM using clockwork mod.
To solve issue I've tried clearing cash/data but it didn't work . Btw I use wi-fi mostly, but issue is the same whether I use mine or some other wi-fi.
A while back I mentioned that running the imported p2p codebase I have on the emulator (on a fairly powerful laptop with plenty of mem and a fast processor) was pretty slow. I blamed all that on the codebase and in fact I was able to profile it and make it much lighter. Well still the overall app performance is slow --- and I am finding that most apps I run on the emulator are fairly slow. Is this a common trend? I do expect emulators, who are by no means a real device, to have such processing delays but are they in general this slow? Any metrics or any other feedback from anyone that depict the factor of slowdowns you would expect on an emulator vs the real device? I know a lot of this are machine dependent as well but consider an idle powerful machine. And regarding memory - I am loading Eclipse with close to 1G to be able to run the emulator and its basic services - is that normal?
View 3 Replies View RelatedProblem is, any page on the BBC News website containing a Flash movie crashes the stock browser . So, while this and this are OK. This, this and even the mobile help page crash the browser (links included for you to try ). No force close, the browser just vanishes and I get returns me to the phone home screen.
I've cleared the cache and cookies and even restarted the phone to no avail (and no, I'm not doing a hard reset ).
iPlayer pages are OK as is YouTube.
Is this a BBC problem? Is anyone else having the same issue or is it just me?

Recently there was an update for chrome, however on jelly bean it still the same, crashing ALL THE TIME..! Isn't there some patch, mod or any special version that work with this?

For some reason if I open Advanced Task Killer I have like 8-12 apps running all the time. They're random too, many that aren't attached to widgets. An example is gesture search. I feel like this is eating up my battery.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI noticed on a lot of the other threads: "If you hold down 'home' you can see your running apps, so you don't need a task killer, just to exit the apps properly" However, on my Nexus I hold down 'home' and it just shows me the last 6 apps I've used. Is there a different way of doing this for the Nexus. or am I stuck with having to get a Task Killer/Manager?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with the wifi... its able to connect to my router but im not able to use the internet. web pages wont load, ebuddy wont connect, fring wont connect, android market wont load. the wifi internet was working before and now its not. currently my laptop is connected via wifi and its confirmed I can browse websites and chat through aim. 3G network works fine but I want to save battery life when I'm at home.

But starting yesterday, any effort to call up a webpage, either using the browser or using the bookmarks on one of my home screens, fails. The page tries to load but then the phone just jumps back to the bookmarks home, or the home screen. Any ideas?
