Dec 11, 2012I have installed Jaggyrom 3 on my HTC explorer, sometimes my phone freezes and as per the post in XDA, I have installed cranium kernel 3.
Since then I am unable to move any apps to sd card. Its saying "Unable to move, system error". The only reason I rooted my phone is to install apps I like, if this is not happening then I am in a real loss.
Can I install the jaggyrom 3 with the "Freeze phone".
General :: Moving Apps Across ROMs
Dec 27, 2012I have installed a few custom ROMs, but i'm a noob when it comes to phones, and every time i switch ROMs i start fresh with apps: redownloading them (about 100 from amazon and google), reconfiguring my home pages, and all games start back at level 1. it takes a long time to do all this, but i assumed that switching ROMs is like switching PCs (you need new drivers, you need to reinstall programs, etc, so you can't just copy A to B).
Is there some better way to automate this so that any of the following are true?
-my apps reinstall themselves in a step or two?
-my homepages are reconstructed automatically? i'm guessing this is the least likely, since homepages/launchers/etc probably differ per ROM.
-my game/app data is saved and restored easily? my kids don't want to lose their ice age village
I have titanium backup free, which i have used for complete backups in the event of a phone crash or something, but i don't know about app transfers across ROMs.
(I'm going from rooted stock to CM10 on my nook tablet, if that matters).

2. If I move apps to SD card, will those be purged while I make wipe data+wipe cache+dalvik+Format System procedure to flash a new ROM? Or it'll remain in SD and catch up back when the new ROM is in?
3. What does a Nandroid backup normally take? Would it keep ROM+ Apps in System Partition or just the ROM?

Nov 1, 2012I am about to get my first Android phone. It is a Motorola Flipside (I am on a budget and I need a physical keyboard; hopefully, if you didn't hate me for posting a new thread you will not hate me for buying a Flipside). The phone comes with Eclair, but can be upgraded to Froyo. When I do this, I know that I will have less than 100MB of free space (could be as little as 60MB) on the internal hard drive, but I am not sure how much less, and I don't want to mess around with moving too much bloatware or rooting. In order to get the apps that I have preselected to all fit, I'm going to need to get them in a certain order. I should get the ones that I can move to SD first, and then get the ones that are not able to be moved.
I have heard that App 2 SD is a good program, although Froyo can probably do it on its own. Do I need App 2 SD?
I am wondering which of the following large-ish apps can be moved so that I don't need to install apps only to be forced to delete them because they cannot be moved:
1. Battleheart
2. Battleloot
3. Modern Conflict
4. Plague, Inc.

Jan 1, 2013I just bought my micro sd card (8g) and I inserted it into my phone. It says its there but I don't know how to transfer my apps or music, videos, extc onto it! I have the Samsung Galaxy Rush. I tried downloading apps to move it but it says there is an option 'move to sd card' and there isn't. Is it not reading the micro sd card right? I tried moving simple apps, messenger, bubble worlds, fruit ninja, whale trails, things like that but all it said was clear cache and no other options. I downloaded a few of these apps to transfer to the sd but they didn't work. I don't really know what to do because it says I have little space but the sd card is in there. It has 7 gigs of space but nothing is on it. How do I transfer my apps?

1) How can i move apps to my sd card?its a 16gb sandisk...i have already tried folder mount, apps 2 sd and APPMGR 111, but they are either not compatible for my device or dont work/let me install them?

Aug 27, 2010Since moving to Froyo I have noticed a problem.there are only a few apps at the moment that you are able to move to the SD card and I have noticed that when you I do move the app my internal memory does not increase back up. eg: say i have 110mb free internal memory and I install a 10mb app knocking internal down to 100mb if I "move app to SD card" it does transfer but my internal is still 100mb. Aug 30, 2012I tried installing "Black Hole Live" wallpaper from the PlayStore, it failed to install BUT left some sort of remnants in the "Apps Listing" that will not allow being uninstalled. It shows as 00B on all "storage" and is "Disabled". Being from IT, I like things clean and tiddy. This remnant refuses to uninstall, I've even looked everywhere it could reside using ES File Explorer, nothing. HOW do I get rid of this stinker??
Second: I'm sure this has been covered before, but I have to ask again if not. There are Apps that are put on the device from the factory, buried somewhere in the OS, that aren't "free" apps after a ridiculously short "Trial Period". I want to remove them, they're using up storage space and I don't use them. One in particular with an absurd 7 day free trial is PRESS READER. I want it off! I downloaded an Uninstaller called "Root Uninstaller APK", but it shows nothing that any other Uninstaller does and Press Reader is not shown.

I use LauncherPro exclusively and according to this site, TouchWiz30Launcher.apk/odex can be removed safely, but he also mentions not to move Launcher.apk, which I don't see in my system folder. When I move it, the phone is operational, but keep getting a force close error for TouchWiz30Launcher.apk/odex. By moving it back with Root Explorer, it corrects the error immediately.I guess what I am asking is...is it possible to disable the 17MB file of TouchWiz if I am not using it, and if so, how.
