Samsung Captivate :: Moving Pictures To Different Folders In Gallery?
Oct 6, 2010I'm a photographer so I have the need for several different folders in my gallery for various reasons. So far the only way I have found to move pics between folders is to go: my files>dcim>folder with pic I want to move>long press>select move>select new folder>select move here. One at a time. Are you kidding me? So my questions are:
1. Is there a quicker and easier way to move several pics to different folders?
2. Is there a way to select a folder before I start taking pics so that all the pics I'm about to take go into that folder?
3. Is there a better gallery out there that allows for all of this if the stock one doesn't?
It really seems like I should be able to quickly and easily do what I want from within the gallery. Like a simple drag and drop type of thing. I will be amazed if this isn't there, but I can't find it.
General :: Gallery Doesn't Show Pictures Transferred To Phone
Jun 14, 2013When I got my S4 I transferred pictures from my computer to the phone under pictures so that I can use them as my wallpaper. The album showed up in the gallery and all was well, but whenever I transfer new pictures into said folder, the pictures are not updated in the phone gallery. I deleted the album in my gallery and the pictures off my phone in hopes that all of the new pictures will show up if I transfer the pictures again from my computer to my phone. Now the album isn't even shown in the gallery. I've selected the option to show all content on the device but the album is still not showing.

Apr 24, 2013Basically I downloaded the app ES File Explorer and I cut everything on the internal storage and pasted it in to my SD card. Everything worked perfectly except now I can't view any of my photos in the gallery, it seems as if they all just disappeared! I noticed something during the switch over from the internal to the SD card that a message about DCIM came up. Now apparently that has to do with photos and I just skipped it. I went into my SD card folder after and it only shows the pictures that have been screenshot and those that have been posted on Instagram. None of my pictures that have actually been taken with my camera are in my sd card folder neither in my internal storage.
Does this mean they have been deleted because I pressed skip during the transfer?
The phone I am using is the Motorola Razr I XT890.
General :: Cannot Delete Pictures From Gallery
Feb 6, 2012I have pictures in the gallery that I think was pulled from an old blog I had on blogger. The problem is that I cannot delete these pictures. I have checked all file folders under my files. I have tried the long press method and put check marks on the pictures but the delete option disappears and all I am left with is share and about. I also connected my phone to my PC and checked all files there but these pictures seem to only show in the gallery. Seems if they are in the gallery then they have to be in a file somewhere? Sincing is turned off and the blog was deleted months ago.

I had a clean Gallery with only the pictures in my phone. I checked the accounts in the settings, but I don't see anything in the Dropbox account settings.

Motorola Droid :: Gallery Moving Photos?
Aug 3, 2010I have done some searches and cannot come with the answer I need. All the photos I take are moved to the SD card and not available to the gallery. It seem they stay in the gallery for about a day and then they are moved. I cannot figure out how to bring them back to the gallery or to so that I can send them out or edit them with the phones photoshop. The photos taken with the camera are on the SD card in the DCIM file while the downloaded photos are in the download file but I am not finding any menue that allows me to retrieve them back to the gallery.

General :: Install Ubuntu On Infuse 4G?
Mar 3, 2012I am attempting to install Ubuntu on my rooted Samsung Infuse 4G. I have consulted several how-to articles here and elsewhere, but after several hours of work I am still stuck on the final lines of code in the terminal emulator app that a YouTube tutorial suggested. Below is the code that I have entered thus far, and the error code at the bottom of the list:

I have tried two different installation methods. The first one focused on accessing the advanced shell through Windows Command Prompt. This didn't work because the prompt froze after I typed in "advanced shell" (several attempts brought same results) .
I then tried the "easy" version that involved the terminal emulator app in the place of the command prompt. Assumedly, if I can resolve this last issue without causing any more, I should be able to access Ubuntu through Android VNC. It may be important to note that the time before last when I typed in the above code, I got a different error code. That error read: losetup: /dev/loop1: no such device or address. I don't know what made it change.
General :: Samsung Infuse 4G Won't Boot
Jul 14, 2012I have a AT&T Samsung Infuse 4g that's rooted. I tried to download a new theme on it but it messed it up. Now every time while it's booting up it goes the the AT&T screen vibrating then goes to black screen still vibrating. Is there a way to re-install new software onto it to stop this?

Nov 8, 2010I'm just starting to get the hang of animations, tweened animations that is. I have made several imageviews with pictures rotating and moving, and its all very fun, but I don't know what the best approach for doing multiple animations is.
For example I created a LinearLayout and stuck some ImageViews in it and wrote this:

for each imageview. So they all spin. But now I want to step it up a gear. But reaidng other sources on the net it seems some people use canvas to do animations. What is the best way?

Jun 24, 2012Usb port of my Samsung infuse 4G isn't working, when connected it charges but pc doesn't recognize. I've tried with different USB cables. when camera is opened it gets stuck and shows black screen. i thought this could be a problem with ROM but i was unable to update ROM as my PC doesn't recognize it, i'm able to enter download mode using OSB jig but still odin doesn't recognize it. it has Android 2.2.1 installed on it and it has not been rooted.

Jun 11, 2013I rooted my device with superoneclick, got the 3e recovery, then got the CWM recovery for galaxyS i9000 through ROM manager(working fine), and then rebooted into recovery and flashed carbonROM for 4.2.2 (the .zip file), along with Gapps for 4.2.2. Now it's stuck at the samsung screen, I can't boot into recovery, taking out the battery doesn't work, and the power button is NOT jammed. I can't restore the backup that I made because I can't go into recovery and my computer is not detecting the device (with all the proper drivers installed).
I don't care about the user data (including contacts, messages, etc) that much, if it needs to be wiped. I only want my phone back, with or without the ROM.
General :: Infuse 4G No Network Connection / IMEI As Symbols / EFS Unfound?
Jan 1, 2013 My problem, I have a Samsung Infuse 4g with gingerbread which I installed through Odin with all the info I gathered reading post here. When the problem occurred of no network access, the phone had the stock froyo firmware and that had been working very well until now.
I cannot get data at all. I can get on wifi, send calls and text messages. I tried changing the mobile network access points and nothing. One thing that I did notice after reading all your post, was that my IMEI is a bunch of symbols, diamonds, question marks, etc.. but is not numbers like it should. The issue started with the stock firmware (froyo) and continues with GB. Another thing is that I have never backup the system at all, I currently cannot find an EFS folder, even after installing RootExplorer.
I dont put all kinds of fancy utilities on the phone, the only one there is Golf app. This just happened out of nowhere. The phone is not even a year old which I got from ATT. You can say, send back to ATT for warranty! I am a Soldier stationed in Germany, because my account with ATT is suspended until my return to the US, the warranty does not cover the phone. In the end I am screwed anyway since I changed the firmware to GB and it is rooted. My questions are;
1. Is it possible that I dont have an EFS folder?
2. The lack of EFS folder constitutes to an unreadable IMEI?
3. What can I do to fix it? Is there a dummy guide to fix this?

Sep 12, 2010I have two "download" folders on the SD card. When I mount the card, I only see one folder, so I see only one set of pictures. In the gallery, I can access the other download folder and see the pictures, but when I navigate to what seems to be that very folder, I only see a bunch of apk files. how to "export" the folders from that download folder?
