View 5 RepliesI have done some searches and cannot come with the answer I need. All the photos I take are moved to the SD card and not available to the gallery. It seem they stay in the gallery for about a day and then they are moved. I cannot figure out how to bring them back to the gallery or to so that I can send them out or edit them with the phones photoshop. The photos taken with the camera are on the SD card in the DCIM file while the downloaded photos are in the download file but I am not finding any menue that allows me to retrieve them back to the gallery.

Both types of files are located in the DCIM folder.If it was an external drive, I could create a batch file to do it, but this way i'm not able to.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using a Galaxy S4. I can't edit my photos using the built-in editing feature in the gallery (drawing lines and all). Once I'm done drawing, I'll save the photo and it'll be the same as the original one, without any changes. I also can't use some apps like Snoopify or Catwang.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI had a Galaxy Ace S5830 phone and now I've changed my phone. It had one app that I could protect any of my gallery photos with a password. I don't know if it was a pre-installed app by Samsung or I had installed it manually and I can't remember the name of that. I need it for my new Galaxy Note... Remember I just want special photos in my gallery to be password protected. I DON'T mean an "App Locker Program, such AppLocker Pro app or similar to it".
View 5 Replies View Related i need an app actually a photo widget. I need to crop and resize the photos from the gallery and keep as a widget. I used 2-3 apps from market but resizing was nt proper. s
Also i need a good hd rpg game like Dungeon Hunter. I have tried many games like zenonia,third blade etc. But i need hd quality like Dungeon Hunter.
I just setup Bittorrent Sync on my Motorola Razr M and Nexus 10 so that all photos taken on my phone can be viewed on both devices. The sync has worked as far as I can tell (if I go into BT sync on the tablet i can view all the files downloaded to the device and view them by clicking on them individually). The only problem is that if I go into my Gallery on my tablet it has not automatically detected the photos, even though when I click on them via BT Sync the are displayed using the gallery app.
How I can make my Gallery automatically show them in my albums? It seems to show other random photos (ie. album covers from music folders I have transferred over) but no the ones I want. I was under the impression that the Gallery app did automatically index all the photo files on the device.
I have been having issues for about 6 months with my google+ photos not showing in my gallery on my GS3 (d2att) (SGH-I747). Typically, they will show up once you have logged into your respective Gmail account and selected sync photos in the settings. This was the case for me a while back, then they just went away.
I have tried CyanogenMod Nightlies, Stable builds, Paranoid Android, JellyBam versions 8.0 - 9.2 (The Albums showed up randomly in one version of JellyBam but I don't recall which one) and have had no success with any of them. I always make sure that I have the correct version of GAPPS installed with them and have done everything I can think to do: Factory wipe/reset, dalvik wipe, cache wipe, formatted system, data, cache, even the internal sd card with no luck.
I ended up flashing all the way back to stock unrooted via Odin, then rooted and reflashed new versions of CM, Paranoid and Jellybam. The albums show up in the stock ROM just fine but not on any of the other ROMs I've used.
I take WAY too many pics to keep them all on my memory card and phone. I like to dump them all into G+ albums and just access them that way if I need to see them. I bought the picasa app but I'm not a fan bc it's not fluid like the gallery app. How can I get these to come back in a custom ROM? I really can't handle stock ROMs at all.
All apps that play audio files from my device can not find and play any of my songs and audio files that are in my device internal SDcard and I can not see my photos in the gallery.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThis is my first android powered phone ever. I just migrated from a crackberry and I do love the phone, it just irritates the holy moses out of me. Its a Samsung S4.
The phone has this nasty habit of not deleting my files that I want to delete. I am talking about photos here. old crap photos that I dont want anymore or that are somewhat inappropriate as I use my phone for business but they constantly reappear on my phone. I have no idea where they are hidden or go and then come back from. I have even taken the SD card out of the phone and deleted them off there only to find them back on. I had SYNC completely disabled but that is also not an option as I have lost work due to emails not getting to me in time, silly damn phone.. So how in the world does one permanently delete the photos of the phone and why do they keep on popping back up after being deleted? Especially if you use the rapid shoot mode, i dont want to keep all the bad ones but after I delete them they reappear.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHow to save media (Photos, Videos) received in WHATSAPP to my gallery??
I just came from a longtime user and it was pretty easy but now I cannot seem to have the option on this android.
I am using a Galaxy S4 4.2.2 and I cannot seem to do it !!
When I click the option, i get the message "your current apps will become unavailable if you switch".
Will copying the contents of the SD over to the EMMC fix that problem?
Also, is it possible to leave some things installed on the SD? Even if I had to reinstall them. For example, games that take up a lot of space.
The reason I want to do this is because the EMMC is sitting there unused. So I'd like to keep my main apps there, and if possible, put games that take up a lot of space on the SD.
What should I be doing with the app files on the extSD card when flashing a new or updated ROM? If I am doing a factory wipe and clearing the Dalvik cache should I reformat the SD card to get rid of previous app files?It is a little annoying to have to copy over again 32gb of music and pictures to the SD card everytime I flash a ROM.
Which files/folders can I safely delete from the SD card if I don't want to format it and if I leave app folders there and restore apps with TB will they reuse those folders?
My Ainol Novo 9 Spark can't write on my extSD/USB devices. I tried to format/remount but nothing works. The SD Card is working fine in my Galaxy Note.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to figure out if one it is possible for an SD card to cause my phone to become unstable (like spontenously rebooting, heating up, etc), i think the answer is yes as I have tried using the phone for a few days with and without the card and it does indeed seem more stable without the card but its less clear about if its the card or whats on the card. I tried formatting the card and thought at first that it was more stable but then it seemed to start acting up again (I can't sit and watch it all day and sometimes its not obvious that it has restarted, sometimes it just shuts down). I have also tried different versions of RR, tinkered with neartrom (not long enough to be sure though) but still stability issues.
Is there a way to see If my card is someway corrupted? or If the phone is just not liking this card or any cards? A friend let me use their card for awhile and my phone was still acting up (rebooting, freezing, overheating). I prefer to to figure out exactly what the problem is before I fork out the money for a new card; it seems illogical that a sdcard in general should make a phone act up like this but I am running out of ideas (going out and getting a new phone would be even more painful than getting a new sdcard so I am really hoping to figure this out as it seems to run ok when no card is inserted).
btw, I the card is a sandisk ultra 64gb microsdxc card, its worked for like 2 years (I stored music and backups on it mainly, most the r/w stuff was from daily podcasts).
Is there a good app out there that will let me move my pics into certain folders? It gets old having to hook my hero up to my computer and rearrange my pics into the folders I want them in.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI'm a photographer so I have the need for several different folders in my gallery for various reasons. So far the only way I have found to move pics between folders is to go: my files>dcim>folder with pic I want to move>long press>select move>select new folder>select move here. One at a time. Are you kidding me? So my questions are:
1. Is there a quicker and easier way to move several pics to different folders?
2. Is there a way to select a folder before I start taking pics so that all the pics I'm about to take go into that folder?
3. Is there a better gallery out there that allows for all of this if the stock one doesn't?
It really seems like I should be able to quickly and easily do what I want from within the gallery. Like a simple drag and drop type of thing. I will be amazed if this isn't there, but I can't find it.
The title says it all. I haven't had ANY other problems with froyo until now, and I have done a hard reset. Although I did just do the .6 fix today, which wiped all data. Anybody know what's up?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have added photos to my Desire but Gallery does not recognise them until I reboot or remount the card.Is there a way to force it to pick up changes to folders outside of the camera DCIM structure?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have some old magazine scans on my Desire. Just updated to 2.2 and now the pages are all out of order! The covers are in the middle of them all. Even though when I look at these files on a computer they are all in the correct order. I have some photos on my phone too, they are all messed up and the phone is not sorting them by the filename it seems. Is it sorting them by the date the photo/scan/pic was created?
Anyway, my pics are a mess and I was wondering if there's a way to sort the photos by the filename given, like a computer does. Also, before I go, sometimes when I go into Gallery (or Photos as it was before) sometimes the phone seems to get stuck on creating the thumbnails for each folder, gets half way down and decides to start again, resetting all the thumbnails to blank, this can go on for ages and makes getting to any lower down folders impossible, cos the screen always scrolls up to the top when it starts re-creating the thumbnails.
Is there anyway of making the Gallery look a little more tidy? Every photo I have, be it received, downloaded, bluetoothed, or taken. It seems to create several different folders. I can't seem to find a way of merging these folders to make it look neater & some folders cannot be deleted? Are there any apps to help me, or is it one of those annoying Android things?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a listview that has a photograph from the gallery for each entry but it was blowing up and running out of memory so I resized the image
BitmapFactory.Options opts = new BitmapFactory.Options();
opts.inSampleSize = 8;
Bitmap yourSelectedImage = BitmapFactory.decodeFile(photo,opts);
imgView.setImageBitmap(yourSelectedImage);
The problem I have is that each image in the list has to be resized before it is displaying the view. Is there a way to link to the thumbnail view instead of the full size image so that I don't have to resize them or is there a way to load each picture as it is sized instead of having to wait for them all.
I'm primarily a WP user so I know almost nothing about Android from the last E years. Well, I figured that I might as well get a brand new moto X during the firesale (bamboo backed BTW) to test drive and I may be over thinking it, but um... Do I save my images to photos or gallery? They both sense, but why are there 2 options?
