Oct 8, 2012Let's say you don't have internet access at the moment. Let's say all you have is fresh install of CyanogenMod 9, which for some reason, does not come with a File Manager :
Let's say you have an apk file on your SD card. How would you install the apk file? Terminal emulator, using which commands or another way?

Mar 30, 2012Im really stuck, my phone is rooted, is deleted something that i didn't know was important(with titanium backup pro) and it failed everytime to restore, so i tried to reset my phone to default setting.
But guess what, my phone boot but stop at "the application settings(process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. Force close )
I got a back up of the original rom that i made with clockworkmod so i would like to restore it. But i cannot boot in systeme recory mode
i tried:
vol up/down + home + power = no result
vol up/down + back + power = yellow and it says "emergency mode!! but nothing happen"

Jan 24, 2014I just rooted my android (LG p500) and was removing bloatware using titanium backup. I accidentally deleted something which caused the homescreen to go black with no widgets showing, I cant even see the menu. I can still see and work with the top bar. When the phone is locked I can see the wallpaper I had but as soon as I unlock it goes black again.

Dec 6, 2011I recently did this and now I'm unable to run custom ROMs on my Optimus One:

Later I wanted to show my friends the ICS ROM as they all wanted to see it. But before flashing that ROM, I wanted to try mik_os's Cyanogenmod on my phone and test it.
>I installed that but this ROM gave a boot loop error (of course I had again downgraded the baseband) I thought it is buggy so I removed and flashed DaxElectro's ICS ROM again, thought it would work fine as before.
But, now even this ROM is giving the same error!!! I'm very upset as I'm not able use it now!
How to fix this???

Dec 20, 2011i want to flash the kernel on my super stock p500 to fix the touchscreen lag bug cuz it's really bugging me and junk. i'm going to use "flash image gui" to flash the kernel cuz it sounds pretty safe.
remember, i have a super stock, lg p500 (optimus one) running froyo 2.2.

Am relatively new to the smartphone scene, but so far am enjoying my HTC Desire immensely.What are the pro's and con's of a File Manager? As a noob, is this something I even need? My phone is not rooted.I assume a file manager is to look at the contents of the SD card and move things around, but since my phone is so smart doesn't it do this already, putting things where they should be? Maybe I misunderstand the File Manager application? How many users have a File Manager?
