I get a video recording time limit on my LG G2X. It stops at 10 minutes no matter what video app I use. I have 30 gigs of SD space so that is not the issue.

I want to do video recording and uploading functionality in android application.Video recording and uploading need to be done on same time.
When user click on Record button , video recording need to be started and once user stops the recording , then recorded video need to be uploaded on remote server.

I deleted my device's system camera by mistake. I didn't have any backup of that. Now I am captureing photos with other camera apps but no video recording. I have Xolo a500s. I flashed a custom ROM on it. The custom rom is based on 4.2.2 but it has all apps of 4.4 like camera, launcher, calender, gallery etc. The problem I am having is that the camera app doesn't have any option to change video recording resolution. It always record video in 640x480 resolution. but in my stock rom It used to record video in 720p resolution.
I installed camera mx app from playstore and this app gives me 720p recording option. But I don't like this app. I want my default camera app to record 720p. can I edit camera.apk file to change the video recording resolution? or I will have to change some files of my custom ROM to change the resolution?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've got the Screencast Video Recorder app on my Nexus 7 but when I finish recording anything, the only result I get is a video, of accurate length, full of a pale static image. None of what I've recorded can be seen at all.
When I had this app installed on my Samsung Galaxy S2 it worked perfectly. Now I have it on my N7 and it doesn't work so I'm thinking that it could be a tablet compatibility type issue, even though I'm able to install and open the app fine.
As is shown in my sig, my Nexus 7 is stock rooted, so it's not as if a custom ROM is causing the problem.
I am developing an app that uses the speech recognizer but I only want the speech recognizer to listen for speech for x number of seconds regardless of when the last speech input was or was not recognized. I looked through the speech recognizer documentation and I didn't see parameter to set the exact time the speech recognizer runs for. How I could accomplish this?

The trackball will light up and everything when I get a missed call or email or sms etc. and it will keep it up only for some 10 minutes. View 1 Replies View Relatedit took all day but i finally took 1080p avatar and converted it to mp4 to play on my dx. i transferred the mp4 to my sdcard and started to play. plays better than perfect until i started skipping around the movie and noticed when it gets past a certain time (1:40:50) i think it is it stops playing and cant go past. i try the file thats on my laptop and theres no problem with that. i tried downloading other movie players but they cant even play the file at all.

Since much of this will be while travelling abroad I don't want to get locked into a large regular commitment to a UK carrier.
If all I wanted was phone access (calls and texts) the obvious answer would be a standard PAYG deal where the value of each top-up stays on the phone indefinitely until I use it. However, so far as I can see, this kind of deal doesn't seem to be available for internet data access (except at ridiculous prices like ?1 per MB).
At reasonable rates per GB all I can find are "rolling" deals where I pay monthly until I cancel or one-off "add-ons" (for example from Three where I can buy 500MB for use within 7 days or 2GB for use within a month). In either case, any allowance I don't use within the period goes to waste. What's more the one-off add-on carries the risk of forgetting to look out for the end of the 7-day or 30-day period and getting hit by penal charges.
I uploaded an update to one of my apps. I caught a bug in testing shortly after. I noticed that the Upload Upgrade link had disappeared, and I only have the ability to completely remove the application. I uploaded the last update yesterday, so it has been about 15 hours. I'm guessing there is a 24 hour waiting period so that you don't flood the market with updates, but I can't find documentation to confirm.

What happens (on my sgs2) is that the video records just fine in whatever resolution I pick... but it records it 90 degrees rotated to the right.
The solution that is usually offered is that "you can rotate it after!" yes... but then you have to CROP part of the image and lower the resolution. 1920 x 1080 recordings end up having to be cropped so that half of the view is cut out , or even more if you are maintaining a real aspect ratio.
The questions about "why not just hold it sideways", are just as pointless as the statement by steve jobs telling iphone4 users that they were holding their phones wrong.
is this something that can be remedied ? or has google decided that people should only record videos when their phones are in landscape mode?
i understand that we cant see landscape resolution in portrait mode; but can't we just have a viewport into the camera, but record in properly oriented landscape mode? so that playback on a computer will show the full resolution, even though we will only see part of it on the phone..
I have a 4GB video file in MP4 format. I can view the file perfectly on my laptop using the defaul media player "Media Player Classic". I have transferred the file to my new EVO and I cannot watch the video...it does not even load. I get the following error message "Cannot Play Video" and "Sorry, this video cannot be played." I have tried the default video player, doubletwist and Meridian with no success. I then thought perhaps the single 4GB file is too large for the EVO and Android apps. I am about to break the file into smaller chunk, but I wanted to ask the forum first.

Is the Evo supposed to be auto-focusing when its recording video? If I have just the viewfinder and no recording going on, it auto-focuses whatever I point it at, but when it comes to recording, its not auto-focusing at all. It just stays blurry.

You can now record video in the dark and have somewhat clarity with the LED lights on. Granted it would probably be a big energy waster, but atleast you know have a choice.
