View 9 RepliesThis has been annoying me from the very first time I used the HTC Desire's camcorder. While being able to focus before recording, it will not autofocus or let you tap-to-focus while recording. Is there anything we can do with this? I mean, it can't be that hard to enable autofocus while recording?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there auto focus function that can be used during the video recording, not prior to recording? I also heard camera on DInc can also shoot 720p with root access, I am just wondering if auto focus during the recording is coming with the root access.
View 1 Replies View Relatedthe nexus 5 sub forums. how in earth you can set the focus of turn it to auto when recording. Most of my videos have a very Lo fi drunken feel to them!
View 2 Replies View Relatedmost of the last Chinese Android Dual SIM Phones have the ability to record phone calls on both lines. It is usually necessary during the call, press the soft key "menu" and choose to start recording.
The file - usually in .amr - is saved on the SD, in a path that is not modifiable and with a name that generally only contain the time and date of registration, but not the called number.Understand very well that with these assumptions, this function is practically useless. The problem is that with these telephones is almost impossible to find a third-party software able to operate automatically and well on both lines.
fix to send a mms video on a 4.0+ rom?seems everyrom I try thats not gb or lower doesnt lower the quality of the video or start the 30 second recording for sending a video mms...I am running android on the hd2 with maglr an cwm,

Is it possible to upgrade the video recording resolution? I am using galaxy s duos running kyleopen .It can only record 480p maximum can i get atleast 720p hd. Any buil.prop or media profile.xml tweaks possible ?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy device is rooted. Android 4.0.4 kernel: 3.0.13
I deleted my device's system camera by mistake. I didn't have any backup of that. Now I am captureing photos with other camera apps but no video recording. Cause my system camera had 1080x720 in 30p/s video recording and there is no app with such this option. So how can I now get my old system camera back?

I have Xolo a500s. I flashed a custom ROM on it. The custom rom is based on 4.2.2 but it has all apps of 4.4 like camera, launcher, calender, gallery etc. The problem I am having is that the camera app doesn't have any option to change video recording resolution. It always record video in 640x480 resolution. but in my stock rom It used to record video in 720p resolution.
I installed camera mx app from playstore and this app gives me 720p recording option. But I don't like this app. I want my default camera app to record 720p. can I edit camera.apk file to change the video recording resolution? or I will have to change some files of my custom ROM to change the resolution?
My Galaxy Nexus and Transformer Prime both stop recording at a 2gb file size, is this true of all android devices? Is there any way around it, an app or something? I've tried a couple that didn't work but maybe I missed one that does. I'd like to be able to record at 1080p until the memory card is full..
View 9 Replies View Relatedi've installed super jelly bean its awsome but video recording volume is very very low.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got the Screencast Video Recorder app on my Nexus 7 but when I finish recording anything, the only result I get is a video, of accurate length, full of a pale static image. None of what I've recorded can be seen at all.
When I had this app installed on my Samsung Galaxy S2 it worked perfectly. Now I have it on my N7 and it doesn't work so I'm thinking that it could be a tablet compatibility type issue, even though I'm able to install and open the app fine.
As is shown in my sig, my Nexus 7 is stock rooted, so it's not as if a custom ROM is causing the problem.
Any app for android, i have international galaxy s3, that can stream a video from my phone to another friend s3, over internet ? I searched in google play but i don't find anything or maybe there's but i can't find it! There's so much apps that can do "streaming", i can't try all them!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am looking for video recording example, it suppose to be in api - sample but not available. I am wondering if 1.1 release still missing this feature?
If it does support then in which format and where is the example. Also I am trying to figure out MP3 encoding long ago but still no solution. I have recorded an audio ()which is in AMR by default, how can I convert it in MP3 (any external package I can use?)
Is video recording supported in 1.5? I got it mostly working with the Haykuro 1.5 ADP image - the video file was legally formatted but didn't play properly.
With yesterday's official 1.5 images, it doesn't work at all.
setVideoEncoder() fails,
with the wonderfully informative error message
"setVideoEncoder failed".
I'm running my HTC Legend with the stock "Camcorder" app and the most I can record with is 480p. Since the iPhone 4 has the same MP (5) and can shoot HD, why can't the Legend. Is there an app for such a thing? Any way without rooting, since I still want to keep my warranty till it expires.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am looking for an app that allows for automated video recording given a start time and stop time. I searched the market and message boards but no luck so far. Does anyone know if there is an application like this?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just experienced the video recording on G1 based on the system.img of android1.0. The process just lasts about 3 seconds, then blocks. And the generated file is empty. What's the matter? Doesn't this version support video recording, yet?
View 4 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone got the video recording sample for android , if yes could you please share the same.
View 4 Replies View RelatedDo you have any simple sample code for video recording?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've tried video recording in the background. But had failed.
Under normal circumstances, the recording works properly. However, if HOME key down-> Home screen or Other Activity is running, recording terminates.
In such a situation, I want to record continuously. I want to record whole process!
there are those of us, who due to whatever reason (helmet cams, preference for posture, etc) want to record videos in portrait mode.
What happens (on my sgs2) is that the video records just fine in whatever resolution I pick... but it records it 90 degrees rotated to the right.
The solution that is usually offered is that "you can rotate it after!" yes... but then you have to CROP part of the image and lower the resolution. 1920 x 1080 recordings end up having to be cropped so that half of the view is cut out , or even more if you are maintaining a real aspect ratio.
The questions about "why not just hold it sideways", are just as pointless as the statement by steve jobs telling iphone4 users that they were holding their phones wrong.
is this something that can be remedied ? or has google decided that people should only record videos when their phones are in landscape mode?
i understand that we cant see landscape resolution in portrait mode; but can't we just have a viewport into the camera, but record in properly oriented landscape mode? so that playback on a computer will show the full resolution, even though we will only see part of it on the phone..
Where can I get source code for camcorder? Also, it would be of much help to me if anyone could post a simple example for video recording.
View 3 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know of a video loop recording app that would work so as to allow "retrospective " recording - i.e. it records full time but discards after say five minutes, so that by -say -pressing a button, the previous five minutes recording could be retained , reviewed and possibly saved? I know it could be done by recording to a file for a fixed period and then discarding that file and starting a new one, but then it would be random as to the length of the recording that was available on the current file - depending on when the button was pressed. What I need is something that writes data to a fixed length file and pushes the earliest written data off the end - or some other process that simulates that.
