Is there anyway to get rid of the shutter sound on the kyocera rise I don't see any options to turn it off and its pretty annoying
Yesterday i installed some apk's and .. installed beats by dr... but the sound will be dissappear
i deleted it and .. copy new libs from the mod for the cyanogenmod *srs effects" but .. its frezze every i turn on ...
Go to the link provided below. I prefer to post a link to the Kyocera Rise Root, in order to provided a Centralized location for this phone...
Root Kyocera Rise v4.0.4
I had used a root toolkit to root my kyocera rise as rooting by hand has become a pain. Anyways, I had run into an issues where my phone would not run properly (possibly due to malware or the likes) and as such I reset it back to factory data. For months after I had assumed that I did not have root anymore because I had lost the supersu app (stupid me forgot to check root). Recently I realized that in one of my apps that could use root, it was using root and I did not even know it.
Seeing that this would cause some security issues, I quickly installed super su and updated the binaries. From then on, whenever an app tried to request root permission, it would then freeze. I then uninstalled super su and did the unroot setting from software and then planned to reinstall it. When I reinstalled supersu, It complained that it could not install binaries and this was bad.
Anyways, the kyocera rise has a locked bootloader that prevents me from completely flashing over a new copy of the os, which sucks, and now I feel like I am stuck with an unrootable device because I can't seem to reinstall the binaries to allow super su or any other superuser program to work properly. FYI, this is just stock android, nothing fancy about it.
I have rooted my Kyocera Rise recently so that I could install hp beats audio drivers on the phone. Something went wrong during the install and now the audio drivers are corrupted and crash the app whenever it has to create a sound. My question is that since I have heard the kyocera rise is pretty locked down on the rom flashing side, is there anyway that I could reinstall the stock 4.0.4 on the kyocera rise?
when it comes to flashing roms, but am still pretty good with hardware. what I have to do to restore the stock android or what I have to do to flash a stock rom.
F.Y.I. I did do a TB but was an idiot and did not verify the files, and now everything is corrupted.stock drivers in the system folder such as etc and the others, and a TB backup of stock would be even better. A one stop way of restoring android would be fantastic instead of going through all the steps in:
I purchased Kyocera Rise during blackfriday sale (switching from LG Optimus V to Kyocera Rise). After playing on it for awhile, I wanted to use it as a wifi hotspot so I downloaded quicksetting app but wifi hotspot setting didn't work. My Rise is rooted and using stock ROM. I was be able to use my LG Optimus V (rooted and IHO rom) as a wifi hotspot this way but it isn't working for my Rise.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI downloaded Font Installer on my Kyocera Rise and I attempted to change my font. Soon after installing the fonts it required a reboot and the phone is on a bootloop due to that. When i go to system recovery, , at the very bottom it says: E:Cannot load volume /misc.

but if i read this thread correctly, HTML Code:

I might be able to do a hard rest through fastboot.
I have installed, all the drivers from the Kyocera website, I have the sdk, I know where to go into command prompt, etc. But my phone is not being detected by the fastboot tool. when I type Fastboot devices, I get nothing, not even the ? mark they mentioned and it just hangs on when I do fastboot -w saying it's waiting for the the device.
Even though its looping my computer will detect the phone and when I have placed it in what i think is download mood (power + plus both volume buttons) it has detected the right drivers to install and though it loops will kind of pop up the phone on my computer.
But when I put it it in what I guess is fastboot mode (power + volume up) Window's says it found new hardware, "Android," just plain android. I tried to direct to install the usb drivers from the Android-sdk/extras/ folder, but that doesn't work and Window is not finding anything automatically.
I assume the problem is that I need to find the right driver for the "Android," but I can't seem to figure what driver that is.
why in 2013, developers are STILL putting warnings in their ROMs that disabling your shutter sound is illegal in some areas. It's not and never was or will be. It would have been, if the Bill from 2009 labeled "H.R. 414" passed. Which it didn't. So I ask, Why put in a warning from something 4 years ago, if there is no danger of breaking any law?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for a camera app that can be triggered via audio, but also take pictures at a SUPER fast rate.
I've found Sensor Camera. This, as the name suggests, allows for capture of photos through a variety of different sensor methods. Light, Sound, Motion, etc. It has great control over the audio input levels but takes way too long to process each photo between shots.
I've also found Fast Burst Camera. This is perfect!! From what I can tell it uses the video camera in order to get the frame rate up to 30fps. Setting this to single shot, with no image review, allows for amazing speed & control over capture.
Any app that combines the two? Or if not, would it be easy to make?
I find the camera sound very annoying on my phone, and even if it's on silent, it plays the camera sound. This is how to remove the camera sound.
1. Using a file explorer, I recommend es file explorer or root explorer, go to /system/media/audio/ui and there you will see 2 camera files.
2. Copy and Paste them into your sd card, then delete them from /system/media/audio/ui
3. This will keep your phone from making the camera noise.
Is there any way to disable shutter sound in builtin camera app?
In folder "system/media/audio/camera/" change name of "cam_snap_0.ogg" and it's done.
I renamed folder name "camera" and by this way disabled any camera sounds witch was useless for me.
Im searching for the kyocera hydro xtrm(metro pcs) system files because I think I only soft bricked my hydro xtrm.. the phone boots up to the android guy with the umbrella buzzes then reboots.. maybe with some system files i could use odin I dont know how to get into recovery on this device.

If it snaps silently, I might pay for it.
I've put the phone in vibrate mode, and silent mode but it still makes that beep beep noise which is annoying. is there a way?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've just released my 2nd application: Sound Camera. It lets you take a photo using a noise rather than pressing the button.
The idea is, if you want to take a self-portrait, or be in a group photo, you can set the camera up, and when you're in position you just clap. (Or make some other noise)
It also has a countdown timer, in case you don't want to make a noise. And you can also take a photo by just touching the screen.
It seems to work pretty well on my G1, and a friend has tried it on a Hero. I hope it'll be of use to people. If anyone has any comments or feedback, and can report successes or failures on other Android phones, I'd be most grateful.
There are screenshots on my website: Sound-Camera
And you can see the marketplace entry, via cyrket.com

p.s. I realize I might not get much feedback as it's a paid app. But I hope to get a free trial version released soon.

View 3 Replies View RelatedHow is the Build Quality? Call Quality? I had problems with the N1 and low Call Quality. Camera/Flash Quality? How is it with 2.2? Very Fast? You think it will get above 2.3? (even by custom roms?)Music/Sound Quality? Loudness? You can change the LED light? Like on the X10 and N1 (trackball) to red, blue, purple, green, blue etc? If you have used the N1, which do you like better? And why?
View 9 Replies View RelatedSo does anyone know the location of the sound file for the double-beep camera focus? I found the "camera_click" and the "videorecord" sound files but don't see the one for the focus. It's not located in system/media/audio/ui like the other 2 camera sound files.
I really hate the double-beep focus sound and yes I know 3rd party camera applications will enable you to silence it but I was looking to just replace the sound file with a silent sound file instead.
I am using android's default camera to click images from within my app. I want to stop the click sound that it does on clicking an image. Is there a way to stop that click sound pragmatically?
View 3 Replies View RelatedGot the Droid X on 7/15, everything was great, got the system update, now the camera won't work. Black screen only, even though both the Camera and Camcorder apps behave like they're working (with a black screen). Cannot take pictures at all, can take video, although no image is shown and playback of videos is a completely black screen.
I look in the camera and it looks like the shutter is open, although I'm not 100% certain what a closed shutter would look like. I think I can see the lens.
I did a full System Restore, the problem did not go away.
I've tried the camera app from the marketplace, facebook, etc., all treat the camera in the same way: just a black screen.
Trying to take a picture, the focus noise doesn't even sound.
This was working prior to the update, albeit in a leggy manner. Should I return my Droid X, or is there some other software / use fix I have not tried?
Anyone know how to turn off the sound of when a picture is taken, the snap sound?
