I'm desperately looking for any Snapchat modification, which will run on Android 2.1. Initially Snapchat requires Android 2.2 or above. Is there any solution to run Snapchat on Android 2.1 ?

I have snapchat installed but when I go outside and turn the 3G (or h+) on it says that it coumd not refresh the messages.

Tried using file manager app to browse through the files, then used TWRP file manager to browse files, both resulting in empty cache folders.

Also, completely irrelevant, but I'm using a USB mass storage app to try to use mass storage instead of MTP/PTP but when hooked up onto computer, removable disks are grayed out.
My phone is not rooted and I want to figure out where snapchats are saved so I can open them again, Ive looked for the "received_image_snaps" and it doesnt exist. There is only a "my media" folder. Ive tried snap grapple as well and that didnt work. How to save them a different way?

I would start up Snapchat, go to my feed, and try to open a video/picture it doesn't play and it ends up freezing the application. It also freezes when I ever took a video and try to send the vids. Sometimes the camera won't load or the screen would be in this green background.

I also noticed if you have a new message, and you close and open the app, it will have to redownload it. So it seems that snapchat is storing the images in the RAM.
So I dumped the ram of my snapchat PID, using this method. I had to download a compiled gdb binary.
I then used photoRec to scan all the *.dump files [I concatenated them all first, the file was about 100MB]. For filesystem I said "Other."
All I got was one txt file. It seemed to be xml, and contained a lot of usernames of my friends, but that's all.
I sent a snapchat on accident without saving it, and it was one I meant to save. I really want to find it, but I can't seem to figure out how to open the nomedia file.
I plugged my phone into my computer and found all the snapchat files, and I read that you can just delete .NOMEDIA from the name and it turns it to a JPEG and opens it. The one I want to open is:
h1a81hurcs00h1380872338543.jpg.nomedia
Certainly enough, when I rename it without the nomedia, it recognizes it as a JPEG, but when I open it with windows photo viewer, it can't open it. It says the file may be damaged/corrupted/wrong file type.
I have my Facebook contacts synced to my phone and when I try to add friends on snapchat from contacts I don't think it is using Facebook contacts with phone numbers, only regular contacts with phone numbers and snapchat accounts. is should it be using my Facebook contacts?

I need to look into a solution that allows me to access all my photos from one central point on my computer and my smartphone. Can I only realistically look at services like Google drive, Dropbox, etc. or are there other solutions that specialize only in photos that would make things easier (e.g., I've thought about uploading more photos to Picasa web albums and using that as a clearinghouse for my photos/videos.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI tried the free version. I like it. I want the additional functions in the paid version. Its only a few bucks. So I created an account in google checkout via my computer. Yes I used the same email as on my phone. It took the info just fine. But when I try to buy the app it says Invalid Credit card. I reentered it a couple of times, no help. So then I chose the option of adding a card at time of purchase. Same deal, takes everything fine, then says invalid credit card. This credit card works just fine and does not have any over limit issues. Google has no customer service, so I am dead.
If google wants to be a consumer company with things like checkout, they need to have some option to get to a human being (even in some third world country) or they are dead.
Any ideas how I buy an app now?

I have been trying to figure out how to use HttpClient to do this, but getting the SSL to work is a nightmare that seems to be way too much trouble for such a simple task. Is there a better way to perform these file downloads? Perhaps through a WebView or Browser feature? Reinventing the wheel of making a simple HTTPS GET request is a major pain, and is significantly holding up my development schedule.

Everything was ok, until I updated the SDK version (and ADT plugin) to the sdk 2.2.
Now all works ok, even "Export unsigned apk".
BUT - when I select "Export signed pk" from the menu - I get no response - no dialog, nothing.

My phone won't detect the bios file on my SDcard. I downloaded the bois, the files named gba_bios.bin, and it's in a folder on the card called "roms". Neither Gameboid or file manager can find the file. But when i hook my phone up to my PC, it's right there where I copied it. anyone have this problem?

I have installed Sipdroid into my android emulator 2.1. And i created users in Asterisk server. Then added the user account and password and other infor (like IP of Asterisk) into Sipdroid account (in emulator). But it could not connect to the server, it always fail to connect.
