I have a Motorola Droid X and ever since I had Snapchat this has been an occurring problem. I would start up Snapchat, go to my feed, and try to open a video/picture it doesn't play and it ends up freezing the application. It also freezes when I ever took a video and try to send the vids. Sometimes the camera won't load or the screen would be in this green background.

So I've went into the /data/data/com.snapchat.android/ folder, and it is only about 200KB, so the image/video files can't be stored there.
I also noticed if you have a new message, and you close and open the app, it will have to redownload it. So it seems that snapchat is storing the images in the RAM.
So I dumped the ram of my snapchat PID, using this method. I had to download a compiled gdb binary.
I then used photoRec to scan all the *.dump files [I concatenated them all first, the file was about 100MB]. For filesystem I said "Other."
All I got was one txt file. It seemed to be xml, and contained a lot of usernames of my friends, but that's all.
I would like play videos using the Youtube app and to save the video (automaticity)in my phone (Galaxy s 9000),so in the next time I will play the video the file will load from temp (It's will save me bandwidth and time).

Tried using file manager app to browse through the files, then used TWRP file manager to browse files, both resulting in empty cache folders.

Also, completely irrelevant, but I'm using a USB mass storage app to try to use mass storage instead of MTP/PTP but when hooked up onto computer, removable disks are grayed out.
I'm desperately looking for any Snapchat modification, which will run on Android 2.1. Initially Snapchat requires Android 2.2 or above. Is there any solution to run Snapchat on Android 2.1 ?

There is only a "my media" folder. Ive tried snap grapple as well and that didnt work. How to save them a different way?

I plugged my phone into my computer and found all the snapchat files, and I read that you can just delete .NOMEDIA from the name and it turns it to a JPEG and opens it. The one I want to open is:
h1a81hurcs00h1380872338543.jpg.nomedia
Certainly enough, when I rename it without the nomedia, it recognizes it as a JPEG, but when I open it with windows photo viewer, it can't open it. It says the file may be damaged/corrupted/wrong file type.

I'm in Baltimore and 4g is very much up and running. Not ranting, its just that 4g was one of sprints selling points, jus think it could be a bit better.

One day I've noticed that it now takes like 5-10 seconds after you press a power button for screen to turn on. It started to annoy me and I decided to update to latest official firmware. After I did, the problem I mentioned disappeared.
Anytime when i'm trying to make or accept a call phone freezes. Black screen and battery icon is all that is visible. However, call itself proceed and you can talk, but the only way to finish it is to remove battery (3G calls still works fine, btw) I've tried all possible firmwares from oldest ones to ICS... tried all cleanup options from recover menu, stll nothing's changed.
It happens from time to time (too many) when i get an email, open it through the item in the status bar, and when the Gmail app loads it shows the loading circle and then get stuck (freezes). After a few seconds i get an option to wait or FC, (sometimes the device is reseting itself) waiting doesn't worth too much since it doesn't responds later on and i have to FC and open the Gmail app "manually". My only problem was that I was not able to use Titanium back up and some other apps unless I was rooted, so after many attempts.I succeeded to root it and to be able to use it. Until the time I decided to upgrade my BusyBox to the latest version. After that I rebooted.my tablet with success but only for once because since then it freezes at start up.
I tried to unlock my HTC Acquire or HTC Kingdom bootloader by following HTCDEV instructions but I always get tot the part where it says "writing unlock key" or something along those lines, the phone freezes on this part and I have to wait until the battery dies or remove the battery. Why this is happening?

Almost every 24 hours when receiving a call the phone crashes (freezes) and it doesn't respond to any button (or combination). The only thing i can do is to remove the battery and insert it again. View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a two month old trio stealth pro tablet, and I have been having issues with it. For some reason it freezes on start-up after the android logo. I have tried combinations of keys to try to get into a recovery mode, but have been unable to do so. I could try to get this tablet back on its feet. I have looked at getting a different ROM, however I do not know enough to feel comfortable taking the risk and possibly bricking my tablet. I wonder if I can use live suite if the android system itself is not fully loading. Every once in a while ( once every few days) I am able to get past the screen and am able to do stuff on the tablet, but then I get constant errors, for example Google maps has stopped responding, contacts has stopped responding, and other random programs.
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust this night I've been using my sdcard in a normal way, browsing internet, downloading files when suddenly my phone couldn't boot after flashing bootanimation (zip made by trusted developer so that's not the problem). Now when I connect my SD Card to the phone it will either say "preparing sdcard" forever or just simply freeze phone after few seconds. I tryed to connect it via working adapter with my PC to back it up... After copying few files sdcards unmounts from the reader... I've tryed on XP and it shows some command errors while trying to copy files in a regular way. I was ONCE able to flash few zips via recovery in order to make my phone boot up again it worked. Now I'm scanning my SD Card using Norton Internet security 2013 - Paid version - not cracked, and the sdcard seems to stay mounted to the PC. Unfortunately after trying to copy files from SD Card to PC it just freezes explorer.exe and unmounts itself...

I have a Samsung Galaxy SII, on O2 in the UK with their latest software release (Jelly Bean). Since the update the Jelly Bean the other month, it had been working like a dream, but starting this week, my phone seems to freeze whenever a call is recieved, or I try to dial out. The screen just goes black and the phone becomes unresponsive. Sometimes, the screen just stays black and I have to take the battery out to restart. At other times the phone will come back after between 1 and 4 minutes, after apparently rebooting itself (the Samsung welcome screen flashes up).
The phone will also now hang and fail to play media (MP3) files. Whether using the Google Player, the native Samsung app or VLC. Normally, the screen goes black for a minute or two and then the app will show the track as queued up with artwork) but it will not play and the app just freezes. Other apps, internet browsing and text messages works as usual.
I have tried removing any recently installed apps (only Dropbox was new recently) and I tried the factory reset. The problems persist after both.
I purchased this Zync Dual 7 Plus(Haipad HD 7 Zync Edition) (Zync Z930 Plus in the Manual) and became fascinated by the world of Android OS. My problem is I downloaded Chainfire 3D app from Playstore as recommended by my friends. After installing, it require a reboot so I restarted the tablet and then I'm stuck on the boot screen logo. I manage to get to the recovery page using ADB reboot recovery command but my tablet only has a power button. There's no physical volume buttons everywhere I looked so there's no way I can reach the "wipe data/factory reset" option. ADB Devices command can detect the devices but it is giving me weird serial number as 0123456789ABCDEF, Fastboot is not detecting the device. USB Keyboard and touch functions are not responding when I'm in Recovery page.
What I have done so far...
I've read several solutions and one of them is to flash the tablet using the ROM provided by Zync support. DL it and open the RockChip Batch Tool but the tool is not detecting my device so I can't upgrade.
Also DL the LiveSuitPack 1.07 but also, It is not detecting the device and from the instruction given, you need to hold volume button again which I don't have.
I am trying to root my Motorola Spice XT300, but when I try to root with SuperOneClick, it always freezes on step #4... USB Debugging is on, the SD card has been unmounted, and whatnot. How can I root my phone with SuperOneClick without it freezing.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy son rooted ny Galaxy Note 2 (SGH-i317). After 3D Launcher crashed it, I tried the Galaxy Toolkit offered by mskip. It seemed to work well. I set the phone back to completely stock. (in the hopes of rooting again). But now I get these messages
a) google.process.gapps has stopped
b) Contacts has stopped
c) Gallery has stopped
When I try to dial a number the phone freezes after the first number then suts down. Contacts open in a plain black screen.
I have been assigned the task to use an android tablet to run a single app in an enterprise setting. Ideally, when one switches on the tablet this app should be loaded perhaps during startup and the user need not step out of this app. The app logic itself is rather easy but I am wondering if it is at all possible to load a single app during load and not allowing the user to step out of it.
