I was trying to install a theme on my HTC Inspire 4G with 4EXT Recovery and i think it bricked it i tryed a hard rest and it boots into 4EXT i tryed the wipe fotmat that didnt work anyway to save it

i just bought a tuvva powerplay tablet..aka the game mid....it contains a rockchip 3066 cpu and 4 core gpu 400 ok iv been trying to flash custom roms on this for awhile..i never could..i got it rooted though..well then i heard of this thing called chainfire 3d thats supposed to improve fps...well i installed that tablet turned off...then it booted up with the logo..thats it..nothing more..i can enter the stock recovry..and my computers makes a bumpuda sound like its conntect..all i want to do is delete the dang chainfire thing..but i dont know how..iv tried using adp..

View 5 Replies View RelatedEvery time I go to CWM and pick a zip file to flash, it starts writing log, but as soon as it hits the point "Opening update file", it gets stuck there. I waited for an hour, and it just didn't progress. I had CWM work before. Oddly, I can still install Gapps.zip and CM9nightly.zip(I'm using CM9 now, because there ain't no choice...[not saying it's bad rom, it's just greedy for battery])
And sometimes, it won't get stuck there, but instead it aborts the install and says:
"E:can't open /sdcard/update-Arconium-ICS-v7.zip
(Bad)
Installation aborted."
(obviously update-Arconium is the rom I try to install)
I've tried to format my SD card couple of times, but it made no difference.
I've tried wiping data, dalvik and cache. No difference.
I've tried corresponding kernels. Again, no difference.
have a problem with my acer iconia b1-710 16gb. I tried to install custom fonts with rom tool box and when it asked me to reboot my device I got stuck on acer logo.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm usin sony xperia tipo dual st21i2. Two days back I have rooted my mobile using unlockroot. Yesterday i was trying to install custom ROM, for that i booted my mobile in recovery mode using install.bat. In recovery mode took back up and wiped data and cache then installed the zip file(ST21i JBMP5.zip) from SD card and rebooted. Now the mobile got stuck with the screen showing JB MINIPROJECT and a circle was revolving in anticlockwise around the number 10. I pulled the battery and tried to boot in recovery mode but no use. whatever i do the mobile stuck with the same screen.

Both the theme and ROM are .zip files. The Kernel is a .img. Do they all flash thru clockwork the same as one of Fab's ROMs? Do I need to do anything with that kernel.img file (rename, unpack, whatever)? Of course, beforehand I'll do a full format of boot, sys, cache, and, data...

View 1 Replies View Related Yesterday I updated my galaxy s2 to android 4.0.3 and was very happy with the display resolution. I also loved the simple sky blue colored background which I can't find it later after playing around with themes.
Since I am a fan of Go Launcher theme, I inadvertently changed the theme to something else. What I noticed is that it updated my screen resolution as well. All of the sudden, I start seeing big icons and Widgets clogging the homescreen. The sleek look of ics is no longer visible. It was very obvious from the settings window that the screen resolution is changed (to smaller resolution). I was very disappointed and hence removed the theme. Unfortunately it didn't restore the display settings.
If the latest updates really has higher resolution than gingerbread then is there a wway to restore that for my phone? I thought of doing factory restore but reinstall of all the apps and configuring them is no fun.
Twitter showed there was an update in Market last night, so naturally, I updated. After like an hour, I noticed it was still showing as "Installing" in Market. I turned off the phone and back on. Still showed "Installing" I went to sleep figuring it has to finish by the time I wake up.I tried uninstalling Twitter with AppBrain. Still shows "Installing" Rebooted my phone again.

The other day and update to android started installing (supposedly from verizon) on system updates. For the last few days it has been downloading, finished downloading and then telling me the system is updated (no reboot nor anything) and then it will start to download again. I have no clue why that may be.

Only thing I did with a terminal emulator was remove a couple of applications
(visual voice mail and google search, google voice search and google earth to install them from the market as I was unable to update them).

I was on 4.2.1 rooted, I found on the notification center that 4.3 is downloaded and ready to install.

After flashing successfully (through cwm recovery), i reboot my phone and then it stuck at boot screen.I did many searches but cannot understand any.I can go into recovery and download mode which is i think so required by odin.I wonder if I can flash any stock rom again easily. Need zip file with which i can put in sd card and install zip through cwm recovery by which i can unbrick my phone. I tried wipe data and factory reset but nothing worked.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI restarted my phone because it was freezing and it turned on on the boot screen where it gives me options to Recover, Reboot, etc. The volume button broke a long time ago. It sometimes works to move the option but pushing the power button doesn't do anything. Is there anything I can do to restart my phone avoiding this screen? It goes there every time. Could one of the volume buttons be stuck?

Steps which i followed to install 4.3 manually is:
1. fastboot erase boot
2. fastboot erase cache
3. fastboot erase recovery
4. fastboot erase system
5. fastboot erase userdata
6. fastboot flash bootloader <bootloader_filename_.img>
7. fastboot reboot bootloader
8. fastboot flash radio <radio_filename_.img>
9. fastboot reboot bootloader
10. fastboot -w update <Rom_filename_.img>
Step 1-9 executed successfully but at step 10 while writing system.img installation got stuck and i waited for 40 mins but nothing happened
Repeated above step 3 times. Need to recovery my nexus 4 to its normal state
! i was trying to install a new custom ROM ( C.A.M.P ) i had Cyanogenmod 10... i came to where i flash the new rom on my computer then when i wanted to fastboot reboot to install zip on phone, my computer shuts off, now when i turn my phone on it lights up black and stays like this and i cant do anything(no CWM no nothing) so i remove battery to turn off....

I have rooted HTC sensation xe (Hboot 1.27, ICS 4.0.3, S-On). Tried installing custom ROMs. It installs but when I reboot from recovery, it gets stuck on home screen (white background with HTC). Tried Virtuous Inquisition and MIUI bit same problem.P.S. I am a rookie and read that it could be due to S-On even if rooted.

Ive used the nexus root toolkit to try and restore it to factory settings and tried do a factory resest from the repair tool. I forgot to do step 1 an did all the rest and then rebooted. I had unchecked usb debugging mode. Now my xperia is stuck on the Sony logo Screen.. CWM not working..
