View 3 RepliesI bought the phone Huawei C8650 from the USA, but it seems that it requires a UIM card instead of a SIM card. Is there a way of running the phone with a normal SIM card? I was thinking of installing a different Android version on it, because it is running android 2.3.3.
View 1 Replies View Relatedeverytime I turn my screen off, the wifi will stay on but will not work. when i turn the screen back on, the wifi icon is on but showing zero bars, after a couple of seconds the bars will fill up but they are grey instead of yellow. sometimes it takes as much as 30 seconds to a minute for them to turn yellow and then the wifi is fully functional. i checked the wifi sleep policy and it is set to never. what can I do to ensure the wifi actually works when the screen is off so I can receive emails and what not?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've got a Nexus S phone with an amoled screen and I was wondering, is it possible to make it so that when the screen is turned off, a clock appears on the screen?
I remember some nokia phone that also had an amoled screen and that had a neat feature; whenever the screen was turned off, there was an always-on clock that'd show up, and since the clock was small and the rest of the screen stayed black, it didn't drain the battery.
I mean, that'd be a pretty cool thing to have on amoled android phones, no?
Is there application that show a low brightness clock when screen turned off such Glance Screen feature on Nokia Lumias considering both Lumia and Droid Razr use the same AMOLED display.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have recently Bought an S9300 phone and when received all was working OK. And I was really happy with the phone. BTW the phone runs on Android 4.1.1 OS (MTK6577).After a week I started experiencing problems with the camera and gallery. The seller instructed me to reset factory settings. This didn't work.
Then he sent me the firmware so that I would Upgrade it. This has been done but know, after upgrading firmware, when I turn my phone on all I get is a blank white screen. Although the hardware seems to be responding to button commands, the blank white screen persists.
To Upgrade the firmware I used the Smart Phone Flash Tool.
will roms made for the huawei ascend 2, work on the huawei sonic, as the phones look identical, and the specs are pretty much the same?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI flashed my Huawei U8510 with a U8150 ROM! (I know it's a noob mistake, it was late). Now my phone is stuck at the Huawei splash screen
I have clockworkmod installed but how do I get to it from power off? I've tried pressing volume up or down with the center button pressed but nothing happens.
Today my Huawei Ascend P1 got stuck on boot screen by itself, left it on the table and when I picked it up there was only a black screen with Huawei logo, and nothing else. I tried to turn it off - didn't work, tried pressing down button and power button, tried connecting it to the computer, but nothing seems to work, it's just stuck there and I didn't even do anything.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Ascend P1 running ICS 4.0.3, and while the phone is amazing (much better than my previous Vodafone Smart II ), it has two issues that really bother me, first is the touchscreen not being calibrated correctly, I'll try to describe it properly.
In the middle of the screen everything is fine, but towards the bottom and top edges the touches are not exactly where my finger is, at the bottom the touch is registered a little lower from where my finger actually is, and at the top it's the inverse, the touch is registered a little higher, and this "offset" increases as the touch aproaches the edges of the screen, kinda like the sensible area is smaller than the screen but is mapped to the whole screen.
And the second is the audio volume, it's too low with the headphones.A couple days ago I tried a Jelly Bean rom (supposedly from the manufacturer) and this two issues where gone, but on the other hand brought some others that are not the case right now.
how can I address these two issues?
I have been using a trusty U8120 for a while now with Fresh Zodiac Fruit Rom. I was browsing on it last night and then next day the screen was just inoperable. Sometimes it would "take" some input, but it would understand something different (e.g. on a keypad, touch it in the middle "5" and it understands top right "3", but then again, "3" doesn't register either).
Here's the funny thing: it doesn't take any input whatsoever, but, if the screen is about to idle shut down and I touch it, it goes back on full light, meaning it understands the touch.. what the..?
I tried reinstalling the firmware but nothing happened.
I tried to flash a custom rom on my huawei honor .. and after I loaded the bootloader.bin by terminal emulator.I restarted my phone and it is stuck on load screen and turn off after seconds. I can't go to recovery mod or anything .. all is what I can do is to go on the pink screen when I press volume up+volume down+ power button
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy phone is Huawei u8950 (unlocked and rooted). Just some time back i flashed a boot image
But after i reboot a bluee screen appears and i'm stuck there.. No even entering to recovery mode (vol plus+ and Power). I pulled the battery off and put it again, Still after the logo the blue screen appears and stays..
How to get to the recovery..? I had taken a backup to my SD card, but as i am not able to get in to the Recovery mode i'm not able to restore the back up...
1 - Is it possible (without rooting) to change the wallpaper of the "apps screen"? it is black and can't found where to change it...
2 - Where can i have new widget for the "lock screen"? there is a screen:
You can change the clock to show a widget for the music, but i want to have more widget like this!
3 - I found this thread: CM10.1 for Huawei Ascend P1. but it seems to be unfinished
Where can i find a good CM10 or CM10.1 for my phone?
This morning my alarm started unexpectedly at 6am. The lock screen turned into the snooze/stop screen. Dragging down didn't stop it it.. It came on every ten minutes for the next hour. My alarms were set to 9:45am and 8:30pm as usual. Even turning the phone off and on didn't stop the beeping. It was my 9:45am ringtone even. (The two are set differently)
Anyone else see anything like this? I'm on OTA 2.1
Screen won't turn off when I press the red/end call button after checking the time or wanting to go dark while listening to Pandora. I do not have ATK or similar I do not have Panda Home or similar.
View 11 Replies View RelatedThis is my first post and it comes with some questions:
First and foremost at random times my 3G is turned off even though I haven't turned it off...go into the setting and it says its still on. Only way to turn it back on is to turn it off and then turn it back on? Any ideas just a problem with the phone maybe. Didn't know if anyone has encountered this problem
Second is there and application that I can use that will let me select what things will startup with a reset of the phone? Also is there an easy way to reset the phone without a battery pull? I just like to do this when Unistalling apps and installing apps...always seems faster after downloading or Unistalling after I do this.
Is there any possibility to setup Android 2.1 to check for new emails when the screen is turned off? Everything works great when it's on, but I really like to let my phone act as instant mail reader/notifier when the phone is unused.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have now had 7 random crashes in two days and the only way I know to get phone back on is to take the battery out and replace it. When it crashes - the screen goes black, but the green alert light still flashes. Does anyone else have this or a solution? It is stock with just a few added apps from the market.
View 19 Replies View RelatedMY SITUATION: My phone was rooted with unrevoked3. I tried to install one of the modaco ROMS and did not realize that it was incompatible with my phone because my Desire has a newer type of screen (not amoled) but SLCD. This caused the phone screen to go black on start up and be unresponsive. It was frightening because at first the HTC bootscreen (green HTC on white) had black streaks through it , then goes black. But don't worry it is easily redeemed in below instructions. You need the latest ROM in zip form, put onto your phone and run recovery. Sweet as suzi, you will be debranded (if you were in the process of doing this , remember to make your gold card).
ISSUE:
1. Desire screen not switching on at all even though phone switches on.
2. Phone boots but doesn't go beyond bootloader/recovery/fastboot
3. Can get into recovery even though nothing comes on screen (test: press volume down and power. Wait for 10 seconds. Press volume down. Press power. Phone should vibrate. Wait 20 seconds. Phone should now be in recovery mode.)
4. Can get into fastboot (back+power)
5. No goldcard
CAUSE of ORIGINAL AUTHOR'S ISSUE:
I had Aura Sense7.9+AlphaRev S-Off. Cause::Ran a very old RUU just because I wanted to bring things back to stock. The RUU overwrote my HBOOT from 0.93 to god knows what. Turned out, the RUU was for amoled screens and not for SLCD screen. So even though the phone turned on, the screen never did......
So i was busy installing apps and moving them around my screen when i accidentally hit the auto-brightness toggle on one of my newly installed widgets, i went to hit it a few more times to restore my previous brightness, but my screen totally turned off. The phone is still on, if someone calls me i can hear the ring tone perfectly.
I've done some Googl'ing looking for answers but i havn't found anything useful, I have already ordered a replacement fascinate under warranty, but it would be nice to find a solution to save myself 20 bucks on a zagg invisi shield..are there any know solutions or ways to factory reset without using the screen?
The Samsung logo and Galaxy S boot-up are visible, but when it normally shows the unlock screen its completely black
So this morning, I put my phone on a little pile of clothes on my bathroom sink. I take my shower, get out and it's still sitting there. I tool around for ten minutes, and of course, after sitting there perfectly for almost 25 minutes, I go to brush my teeth with the water running and doesn't it pick that 1 minute window to slide off into the water. It was in the water for maybe half second. It was not submerged or have water run on it. It was back down in the water. I grabbed it, immediately rubbed the water off and removed the back cover and battery. Everything was dry. I thought I dodged a bullet. I out the battery back in and restarted. I came back a minute later and it was off. I tried to restart, nothing. I plugged it in, and the charge indicator did not come back on. I pulled the battery again, and blew into where the battery connects and noticed water coming out! Not a lot, but it was there. It either got in through the HDMI or USB, or, more likely though the back of the kickstand.
Stupid me thought I got it all out, put the battery back in and tried again. This time it made it to the Sprint 4G screen then died. I put the phone in a bag of uncooked rice. When I got to work, I pulled it out and after shaking the rice out of it (let me tell you how much rice got into to phone!!), I used compressed air in it. I didn't see any more water. I put it back with the rice and am now just scared to death. Not sure how long I should wait to put the battery back in and try it. So, this is the second evo I had as I exchanged the first one for screen separation issues. I noticed that the first phone I had water damage indicators on the outside under the cover. Now, I don't see them. If they were still where they used to be, I'd be in the clear since it never got wet back there. The battery indicator is fine. Just can't find the other ones now and I'm scared to death that when I tried to restart I may have permanently ruined my phone and I have no insurance.
Well, what happened was my screen turned blank. I could not turn off the phone. It was just blank. The buttons on the bottom of the phone will light on and off when pressing the power button. What am i suppose to do in this situation or any other situation where my Droid isnt acting right? Well, i didnt know what to do so i just took out the battery and put it back in. I am not sure if thats the proper way of doing it. I hope my phone will be okay after that. So, whats the right way of going at it?

View 6 Replies View RelatedAfter buying a new Smartphone (Huawei) it just repeats the "welcome screen" example: [URL] .....
When I click on Start it loads for few minutes and it just shows me the same Welcome screen over and over again.
I tried the trick where you tap on every corner and it should skip the screen but it doesnt work.
First of all this is minor Bug, but still - BUG! There is phone configuration description:
Phone: Xperia X10i
FW: android 2.1
patterns - default slider + unlock pattern
Bug description
1) When phone is locked, press home or power button.
2) move slider, to be able to draw pattern.
3) Start to draw pattern and wait till screen goes black (do not remove your finger). So your pattern is not finished and screen has gone black. Try to remember place of the finger.
4) Press home or power button again.
5) Finish unlock pattern from place you was, when screen turned black.
6) Your phone is unlocked!
So, if you did not finished your pattern and your screen have gone black you might think, that the phone locked, but this is not true. Your Phone can be Quite Easily unlocked in the Pocket.
I have haptic feedback turned off, but the arrows you use to navigate the home screen still vibrate, as well as the luck buttons and widgets. Is this normal, or is this an issue? Also while in low light, or dark conditions, shouldn't the for hard keys light up?? Is this an issue if they don't, or just an affect of not having brightness set to auto?
