I flashed my Huawei U8510 with a U8150 ROM! (I know it's a noob mistake, it was late). Now my phone is stuck at the Huawei splash screen
I have clockworkmod installed but how do I get to it from power off? I've tried pressing volume up or down with the center button pressed but nothing happens.

View 9 Replies View RelatedThe procedures mentioned to root or install CWM Recovery in Huawei x3 U8510 requires you to go to USB Debugging mode in Settings but my device does not have a working Stock ROM.
I am able to boot into the Stock Recovery mode (Volume + and power button) but unable to install CWM(tried several versions for U8510), SU, Custom ROM etc cuz it says signature verification failed even though I tried cmw zip files which were signed.
I tried going into download mode by pressing Volume - and power button that didn't work too. Even though the Huawei symbol came up I couldn't root the device using
P.S: I couldn't find any of the latest ROMs for this device too!
i was trying to put clockworkmod on my samsung galaxy xcover, but i used the wrong file (it was clockwordmod for galaxy ace), and now my phone is stuck at the first bootscreen (black screen with the text: Samsung GALAXY Xcover GT-S5690) and i cant get in recovery mode or download mode. so actualy i cant do anything on my phone.

I have "successfully" installed the MikRunny v1.13 CDMA ROM but I am stuck in the white HTC splash screen. I did not back up my original stock ROM (the worst mistake ever.) But I have wiped everything (except the / SD card/ portion of my external card) each time I try to flash a .zip ROM.

I was using the phone today and it just froze so I rebooted and it stayed on the splash screen so I rebooted to hboot and then went to recovery which wont open it just goes to splash screen. So I did the downgrade back to 1.00 radio and .77 HBOOT to try and start over and it still gets stuck on the flash screen. Please someone what do I do?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I've searched the forum database and the internet at large and can't seem to find anyone with 'exactly' my problem. My Eve has been problematic since I got it 3 months ago. I perform at least 10 battery pulls a day to get it to 'wake up' because nothing else works. It started to get really cranky on Friday night but it continued working -- very slowly -- but I kept getting error msgs (don't ask me, can't remember!) The battery dies, so I plugged it in overnight. Since then it turns on, shows the Rogers screen, gets to the Android screen with the light scrolling across the letters, then hangs there. Twice I somehow managed to get it to a screen that said ARM11 has failed and gave me 2 options, volume down or volume up. I tried each of these once, same thing. Today it somehow got to! EMERGENCY MODE but was then completely unresponsive while showing this text.
I called Rogers and he suggested I do an update but that it would erase all my info. I was desperate and tried this, but to no avail. Did not do anything different to my phone. As I sit here typing, the Android screen is scrolling sideways, doing it's thing. Meanwhile I have no cell phone. Apparently Rogers doesn't replace it (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada). They ship it on my behalf to LG who assesses and decides if they will replace or inform Rogers to inform me that it needs to be repaired, then LG charges me $30 for the assesment. Could take 2-3 weeks -- they will give me an old flip phone to use for that time. Meanwhile no discount on the monthly Data/Cell phone plan. It's kind of striking a nerve. I'm considering sending it back and buying a used iPhone 3G for $300 and if I get the Eve back, I'll sell it over the internet.
I'm trying to port CM7 to my Captivate Glide and when I flashed that zip today my phone was stuck at the boot logo splash screen. I tried adb logcat but adb did not read my device. How do I get a logcat when my phone is stuck @ that screen?
Once I booted into recovery, however, logcat worked. However, obviously since all I did was boot to recovery there was not a logcat there.

I recently got a Huawei y220 and rooted it and enabled USB debugging, tweaked the SystemUI.apk and it all went good, I had no problem rebooting. I also changed my bootscren with BootScreen from the Play Store.
But today, my phone got stucked in bootloop, and i know why, I changed the /system/fonts permissions to 666, and also when I was trying to change the default font (DroidSans.tttf and DroidSansBold.ttf) copied a font file, so in that folder there was some permissions changed and an extra font. I had to to do something so i locked my phone. When I returned a couple of minutes later the phone was like off, so i removed the battery and rebooted it. It got stucked on my boot screen, and didn't showed me my ADW launcher.
I can't install CWM as there is no file for this model (because it's very new), I can't flash anything as far as I know. Tried downloading the official "upgrade" from Huawei, copied the file, but I can't seem to enter the "Software Upgrade Mode", (VOL UP + VOL DOWN + POWER KEY), I press those keys for about a minute and nothing happens.
I know my phone isn't fully bricked, for now, so, how can I change those file permissions through my PC or Linux? I can enter the bootloader screen.I also tried AromaFM, but i get a signature error.I've already wiped/factory reset and wiped cache.
My Huawei Ideos u8150 is stuck on the logo. its six month old and not under warranty seal...now when I was surfing the internet (Obviously with another phone) I got an info says that I can format the SD card and create a new folder named "dloder" then put some files on it. then when I restart the phone pressing the volume down, red button and power button, the phone will update itself and it'll be ok again. now my Qs are:-
1 - does such method work?
2 - if it works then what are the files I should put on the "dloder" folder and where do I get those files?
My Huawei Ascend G700 that I just bought has gone into a bootloop. I have succesfully root the phone using Huwaei eroot software from as in the picture below but I havent flashed any custom ROM yet.
But then I want to install CWM recovery into the phone as it much feature rich that the stock e3 recovery. So I've downloaded the CWM recovery from the page in the picture below.
I used MobileUncle Tools to boot the CWM recovery & that's when the issue occured. It keep restarting after the Huawei logo. I cant even get into the recovery (by holding volume button up + power button). If I hold the volume down button + power button, a sentence " => FSATBOOT mode... " at the lower left corner of the screen will appear but the phone will reboot itself again & again.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am having a bit of a problem with my Android. So what happened was I downloaded "DroidRootPro" from the market. I rooted my phone with this, installed the 800MHZ ROM image, rebooted and the phone came up great. I was actually surprised on how fast it became. Once the phone came back up, I tried installing one of the custom themes that came with that app (I know I should have left it alone). The phone than rebooted and I was never able to bring it back up. It gets stuck in this endless loop where it tries to boot but doesn�t get past the "Droid" splash screen, it just keeps rebooting every time.
Things I have tried:
-Wipe data/factory reset (in recovery mode), no go.
-Wipe cach partition, no go
-Restore from a "nandroid" backup, no go. I tried pretty much every combination of restores and am unable to bring the phone up.
Is there anyway I can download the factory image that comes with the phone, put it on an SD card and restore to that? I have looked all over but cant find any information on this.
No root..Firmware v. B104...New phone, got it in late December 2012. Handled with great care. Battery icon and battery graph stuck on 50%. Never know how much battery juice I've got left. No warnings, just powers off when it's empty.
Tried:
- Factory reset
- Attempted hard reset, but I'm not sure it worked, 'cause nothing special happened on my screen.
- Completely draining the battery (as an equivalent to removing the battery. Non-removable battery on this one)

I rooted my handset using blackwofls guide, it worked perfectly. I then installed adfree android from the market, it also worked perfectly. After that, I went and got font installer, it installed like any other app, opened fine. I chose a font I wanted to use, previewed it, and installed it.
It had prompted me to reboot for the font to take effect. After rebooting my phone will no longer go past the AT&T splash screen. I am very worried since I do not know how to fix it, I don't have a backup of my ICS of any sort. I can however get into ODIN and the recovery mode of clockwork.
I reset my cache and data numerous times, and i did a factory reset, It just sits at the splash screen and vibrates often.
I have a Huawei C8650 rooted & Lewa Rom installed. It was good till yesterday. Suddenly the whole screen turned reddish. Everything is red. I guess the screen is damaged ?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Ascend P1 running ICS 4.0.3, and while the phone is amazing (much better than my previous Vodafone Smart II ), it has two issues that really bother me, first is the touchscreen not being calibrated correctly, I'll try to describe it properly.
In the middle of the screen everything is fine, but towards the bottom and top edges the touches are not exactly where my finger is, at the bottom the touch is registered a little lower from where my finger actually is, and at the top it's the inverse, the touch is registered a little higher, and this "offset" increases as the touch aproaches the edges of the screen, kinda like the sensible area is smaller than the screen but is mapped to the whole screen.
And the second is the audio volume, it's too low with the headphones.A couple days ago I tried a Jelly Bean rom (supposedly from the manufacturer) and this two issues where gone, but on the other hand brought some others that are not the case right now.
how can I address these two issues?
I have been using a trusty U8120 for a while now with Fresh Zodiac Fruit Rom. I was browsing on it last night and then next day the screen was just inoperable. Sometimes it would "take" some input, but it would understand something different (e.g. on a keypad, touch it in the middle "5" and it understands top right "3", but then again, "3" doesn't register either).
Here's the funny thing: it doesn't take any input whatsoever, but, if the screen is about to idle shut down and I touch it, it goes back on full light, meaning it understands the touch.. what the..?
I tried reinstalling the firmware but nothing happened.
I am a bit new to android development, and am trying to implement a splash screen on top of an existing APK. The idea would be that the APK still runs exactly the same as before, but before it does, a splash screen displaying the developer's logo comes up for a few seconds. I know this is easy to do directly in the code for the original APK, but I am hoping to be able to accomplish it without editing that code. Can anyone point me in the right direction for doing that? I am not even sure if it is possible, but it seems like I just need to make a new APK file that runs just the splash screen and then calls the other application.
