View 5 Replies View RelatedI am working on Mobile forensics. I need to access locked android phone system files without USB Debugging enable.
For accessing System files, I need to root android but it is locked with pattern lock or passcode (USB Debugging Disabled).
If i'll flash the mobile, it will change the filesystem which is not forensically sound.
if i'm able to clone the mobile (bit to bit copy) for further forensics.
I just bought this phone three weeks ago and It was working well .. then I tried an App (pimp my rom) and I forgot to enable Usb Debugging mode so I restarted phone then Found a message ( Unfortunately, Launcher has stopped ) and when I press ok it shows again .. I can only switch on/off wifi bluetooth GPS and those stuff on Notification bar but I cant enable Usb debugging mode because settings crash with ( Unfortunately, Settings has stopped ) No menu No home screen .. only those messages with a useless notification bar I tried everything possible to recover this phone but failed because The computer cant define the device because of the Debugging mode and when I try to flash a rom by recovery mod it tells me signature failed Is there anything I can do for this phone? or its over?

View 3 Replies View RelatedProblem: When pressing the power button to turn phone on, there is no samsung boot logo. the only thing that shows up is a black screen, [the backlight] it will stay that way until the battery dies.
i know it's not a problem with the display because i can get to the recovery screen by pressing the three buttons. i tried numerous wipes and factory resets, even tried to reboot from there. but it still wont boot up, it only ends up with that black screen. Also the green battery shows which further indicates that it's not a display problem.

Some things i've tried: i downloaded android SDK, MTK droid tools, SP FLash tools, for some reason, i keep getting error 8200 in sp flash tools and mtk droid tools doesn't detect my phone. I tried flash updating firmware with adb sideload, it always ends up with an error ''aborted''. i can't enable usb debugging since the phone wont turn on.
Is it possible to enable usb debugging (under settings/applications/development) programatically from within my app? I was looking at Permission.WRITE_SETTINGS and http://developer.android.com/reference/android/provider/Settings.System.html but couldn't find anything appropriate.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI returned my phone to stock, forgetting I uninstalled the phones launcher. The phone is an AT&T MB511 Motorola Flipout.
I want to install the ADW launcher, but theres no way for me to get to the setting menu, to enable USB debugging, to install the launcher.
I've seen posts that have instructions on how to get into safe mode on some phones. I'm not sure if my phone has that function.BTW the capacitive buttons and the keyboard do nothing.
I just picked up a Craig Netbook CLP 281a. at Riteaid yesterday. It's an updated version of the Craig Netbook CLP281 that came out last year which I also have. The newer model is faster. It has a bigger processor and more ram and is running Android 4.0.3 I used Z4root with my older model Craig Netbook which ran Android 2.2 and it worked fine. In the older version of Android 2.2 USB Debugging was in Settings/Applications/Developer/USB Debugging. That path no longer exists in the 4.0.3 version installed on the Craig Netbook. I've check Settings inside out over and over again and USB debugging is not anywhere to be found. So I can't use Z4root or SuperOneClick because they both require checking "USB Debugging" first before they can root the device.

How can I fix it?
What generally happens in the Android System, when i switch on or off the USB Debugging? Is there a constant in the Android System Configuration, wich is turn on or off? How can the adb attached the devices, wich are turn on USB Debugging?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI flashed a ROM this morning and it failed. One thing leading to the next I ended up with no OS on my phone and USB Debugging turned off. Now I want to turn on USB Debugging but the only menus I can access from the phone are "Recovery" and "Bootloader." Is there anyway to turn it on or am I screwed. Also, messing with all of these ROMs and rooting my phone so looking for link to a ROM that doesn't make any major changes to your phone. Or the original ROM that came with the phone would be good.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got a brand new Samsung SGH-i727 that I cannot get into Debug mode, which means that I'm bored with it already! I want to ROOT!! I can navigate to the setting, select the check box, and it remains checked, however, it won't indicate Debugging mode ( in the status bar, with the pop-up or otherwise when connected to the PC), and I cannot access ADB to root it! I am at a loss. I have scoured the forums, deleted and re-installed the drivers, deleted and allowed the device to re-install the drivers, used different USB cables, including the original, and a decent aftermarket, used different USB ports, used different PCs, (Two Win 7's, and one WinXP, all to no avail. I am upgrading from a Cappy, that was rooted on this machine, but for some reason, the 727 just doesn't want to work!

View 1 Replies View RelatedNote 3 SM-N9006 stuck on bootloop and usb debugging disabled!!!
My Samsung note 3 Sm-N9006 was already rooted when I bought it, though it doesnt have CWM/TWRP and SuperSu. However, all rooted apps are working. So I really want to change the phone's font so I downloaded Font installer *root*, because no font style is available in the settings. However, after I installed a font from the app, it prompted me to reboot my system, I clicked it and when it boots, its already stuck on the samsung logo.
Whenever I use the button combination vol down + power + home, it just opens normally; when volume up + Volume down + power / Volume up + power + home / Volume up + power, this is what is shown,,,
Select boot mode:
[VOLUME_UP to select. VOLUME_DOWN is OK.]
[recovery mode]
[fastboot mode]
[normal mode]
volume up moves between these options, volume down doesn't do anything, nor power button neither home button
so i can't choose from them.
I have installed the [ROM] Lenovo P780 Pre-rooted Official ROMs for Flash Tool with TWRP and now I do not find the "USB Debugging" option in the App option of System Settings. Instead appear a list of the applications installed where I can select any app change options.
This ROM comes configured to Root as default.
I've got this Hisense EG98, i can't enable USB Debugging because it's ask for password. When i try to enter recovery mode by pressing and holding vol.down+power, green robot appeared but it just went to reboot again. Is there any other way so that i can enter to /system? I want to root my device, framaroot doesn't work either.
