View 3 RepliesI was looking through my google account and noticed it has listed every android device we have ever had, including a duplicate Transformer entry (We returned one b.c of light bleed)
Is there any way to remove the devices from the list that we no longer own or are active?
Can I have two separate google play accounts for two different devices & keep one gmail account for both devices?
View 6 Replies View RelatedBest software for streaming audio/video from android to android, this question is 2 fold.
1 I would like to use my old POS zte racer android device with a restive screen and 3.2 mpxl camera as a video monitor in my babies room, over WiFi.
2 I would like to duct tape an old android device to the front of my RC monster truck and drive it through an apple store on fire. Over 3G or perhaps WiFi hotspot from my good phone, shared with the duct taped bumper droid.
System settings -> Location services -> Disable google's location service & Location&Google search
Are there any downsides to disabling those? I mean for other apps than googles? Because "Also allow permitted apps to use data from sources such as Wi-Fi andmobile networks to determine your approximate location" doesn't sound all that great to disable. It sounds like this would disable all the apps that want to access those services, not only the google ones, but that wouldn't be true would it?
Basically speaking, I just want to disable all of googles crap (Maps has the most horrible wakelocks ever and from what I can tell none of the other google services I use need my location) without limiting any other apps I might have installed.
I am trying to delete 2 old Bluetooth devices from my htc Droid. I found a post that said to unpair and then scan but I have lost one of the devices and the other device is dead so I can not unpair them.
View 6 Replies View RelatedSo, I've checked 'settings->apps->running' and I see that when I restart my phone the OS turn on Google location Manager, Google Play market, and some other thing.
I would really like if when I turn on my phone- no element could use my GPS unless I specifically tell it to run, then stop the usage when I tell it to close. Part of the tracking prevention, I imagine, will be done by disabling those services which are required for proper part functioning.
I suppose my questions are:
1) What services/elements should I disable?
2) How do I prevent them from running on startup?
3) How do disable parts of android to run on start up, in general?
Also I'd like to note that I would prefer not installing any apps or root the phone.
It looked like I was able to create a "My Map" online with the Weather Channel and/or Accuweather.com as a "layer". I was able to add the Weather Channel as a "layer" on the phone's NAV map, but it returned an error stating there was a problem with the site coding or something.
I just thought it would be cool to be in NAV mode and have cloud cover update real time as you driving through, or into a storm. Would be even more useful if you were trying to slip in a training ride, and needed to know where the storm is in relation to your route, for those marginal days.
I want to use my google play music mp3s on a mp3 player and on my pc
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm on my third Android phone, and the last two are still "active" (?) in Google Play, on the website. With my first phone, I didn't have to "Choose which device to install on". Now I do, and I want to know how to get rid of the other two devices. I don't have access to them and never will again. I sent the first one to a dev on SDX, across the country. The other one I only had for six days, and traded for my current device. So, there's no reason for them to be up there. (Both were wiped before I got rid of them, so neither of them can even get into my Google account.)
P.S. Is there any way to get Google to forget I ever had an app? I've tried a bunch of apps that didn't work and I really don't like them in my "All" column under My Apps, in the phone app. But that's not as big a deal.
If I do a Google search via the search app or the search bar widget and for whatever reason go back to the home screen, how do I get back to the search results page? If I do a search and leave the search results page I can't seem to find a way to get back to it without opening a new search altogether.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was using an LG Lucid up until a couple days ago, and for a while now it stated trying to open up "goolgle" as the default page when opening the browser. I figured it was just the phone acting retarded since it was rooted and romed and it's been randomly restarting a lot too, so who knows...
So I bought a Galaxy Nexus second hand and it works great. But ever since I signed into my Google account with it it's started doing the same freaking thing! Opens up "goolgle" when I open the browser.
I have several older Android devices that I used to use Google+'s Location Reporting feature to keep track of family. A couple of my family members got new phones and I passed on my previous phone back to them. The problem is, I can't seem to get the automatic location reporting (which used to be Latitude, later replaced by Google+'s system).
I think it might have something to do with my old device being connected to my Google Account (and not theirs), though the phones were factory reset and had new account linked to them. I can't seem to remove the android devices from my account (when I install new apps from the online play store, my old devices still show in the drop-down menu).
Is there a way to remove my old devices from my account in hope to get location reporting to function?
Having flashed multiple Android devices other the years, I'm now having a problem since the 4.0.4 Galaxy Nexus update: I can't use Google Music anymore. I have apparently reached the "device limit" of synced devices.
Browsing Google Groups, a small number of people are apparently in my case, and none of us ever found a way to un-sync "old devices" from our accounts.
I all ready have a HTC Desire, think it's a briil phone, thinking of getting my wife one too. Is there an app you could recommend to me so we can see where we both are by looking at say Google maps?

I am seeing the different screen below plus when I click the wrench for search tools because I only want to see results for the last week. I get the screen below. I can't figure out how to change the time option. Clicking it is not working.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got a smartphone running Jelly Bean. As I like the gmail contact photos very much, I was happy that one new feature of Jelly Bean is the fact that the contact photos are synced with Google servers in hi-res (720x720). I spent a good deal of time replacing the awful downsized pictures with new hi-res pictures. They sync in 720px, everything fine, so far.
Where my problem begins: Within the next days I expect the arrival of my new tablet. It's a low budget one (Arnova 10b G3) which runs Ice Cream Sandwich and which maybe won't ever get a Jelly Bean firmware.
I'm in a conflict now: On the one hand, I'd like to use the tablet with my Google account and not create a dummy account or something like that. This would spoil much of the usability of the account. On the other hand, I don't want to destroy my hi-res contact pics because one Google sync under ICS would downsize them forever and I guess they would again sync downsized to my Jelly Bean phone.
Is there maybe a hack that prevents Google from syncing the contact pictures? In this case, I could use the Google account on the ICS tablet just without contact pics. The downsized pics are rubbish anyways if one's display has a proper resolution.
Or, can one prevent Google from syncing the contacts after setting up the account? I know that the contact sync can be unchecked in the settings but as far as I know, that doesn't prevent the initial sync.

When using Google Maps (not navigation) does it display your route so that you are always going "up", or does it display your route so you are going left?
So if I fire up Google Maps and just want to leave it on while I drive home, but I'm not trying to do any kind of navigation...though I might open the traffic layer, should my route be coming from the bottom of the screen going upwards or should it be going from the right to the left?
I noticed driving home the other night it was tracking me going right to left. It seemed odd.
I do want to implement the Google Analytics for mobile on my android application using the sdk provided on this page http://code.google.com/intl/it-IT/mobile/analytics/docs/android/
Does someone knows, before i start to integrate it, if it tracks the keywords people used on the android market in order to arrive and install my application ?
If it does not, which would be the purpose of using this ?
Some how I deleted my bookmarks page. You know the one between the friend stream and the music player.
How do I get it back?
I was wondering where are cookies located when you install Google Chrome on an Android device. In addition, I wasn't able to find the installation path of Google chrome...

I'd like to be able to track the Version number of my application using Google Analytics Android SDK, and the Device Model name for people connecting to my application; What is the best way of achieving this? View 2 Replies View RelatedSo most of us are happy with our Droids, but we all have at least one item that we just wish Google would fix. Lucky for us, Google has a site dedicated to tracking bugs, issues, and feature requests!
So in addition posting questions here, go to Google's issues site and let them know directly! All you need to do is click the link and click the little white star icon. Issues with more stars will theoretically get more attention, so let's let Google know what we want.
I'll keep a running list of direct links in this post for everyone's convenience. If you want me to add more just post it in this thread along with a link to the issue.

I would like to remove some icons I don't want, and also remove an icon page that is completely blank but still there. I don't just want to move them, I want to get rid of them. I couldn't find the answer in the user support.
