View 1 RepliesCan I have two separate google play accounts for two different devices & keep one gmail account for both devices?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm on my third Android phone, and the last two are still "active" (?) in Google Play, on the website. With my first phone, I didn't have to "Choose which device to install on". Now I do, and I want to know how to get rid of the other two devices. I don't have access to them and never will again. I sent the first one to a dev on SDX, across the country. The other one I only had for six days, and traded for my current device. So, there's no reason for them to be up there. (Both were wiped before I got rid of them, so neither of them can even get into my Google account.)
P.S. Is there any way to get Google to forget I ever had an app? I've tried a bunch of apps that didn't work and I really don't like them in my "All" column under My Apps, in the phone app. But that's not as big a deal.
Recently I've been having an issue with Google Play Music where when I play a song, it plays for a second then pauses, so I have to press play to get it going again. This occurs repetitively which means I can't listen to music.
It happens on songs that are being streamed and on songs that are on the device.
Funnily enough, if the song is played through ES file explorer and the little play music popup window comes up, it plays fine.
I've got this issue on both my devices, a tf101 running 4.3 and a nexus 5 with stock 4.4 rooted.
Edit: just remembered, I've also got this issue with MX Player and videos. I can't figure out what's wrong.
Streamed videos played through the gallery video player work fine.
Having flashed multiple Android devices other the years, I'm now having a problem since the 4.0.4 Galaxy Nexus update: I can't use Google Music anymore. I have apparently reached the "device limit" of synced devices.
Browsing Google Groups, a small number of people are apparently in my case, and none of us ever found a way to un-sync "old devices" from our accounts.
when I want to stream one particular song I noticed that the Google Play Music app downloads and caches the previous/next few songs for quicker access. How can I prevent this? It uses a lot of data and I usually only want to listen to the one song I chose to stream.
For example if I play a 6 mb song i noticed it uses about 40 mb to stream just that one song. Then I selected a different song to stream and immediately went into settings > download queue and noticed it was loading more songs than the one I requested. I only want to listen to the 1 song I chose, so how can I prevent the other songs from loading? As far as I can see there is no way in the app's settings but there has to be another way to stop this inconvenience.
P.S. I have a T999 galaxy s3 running on stock rooted ICS
I currently have an iPhone 4S and I am probably going to get a Galaxy Note 2 when it comes out for Verizon. In order to prepare for this, I set up Google Play Music to upload my music so it can be ready for me when I get my new phone (I like it better than Samsung's default music player). Only one problem: protected AAC files (or DRM) can't be transferred to Play Music. I tried converting my music with 2 different DRM converters, but they were free trials, and it only would convert 1:00 of each song and then stop. Is there any free way to convert each protected song completely, along with protected videos? Also, does music on Play Music eat up an Android device's space? I have over 12 GB of music and movies and I don't want to have barely any any space left on a 16 GB device if a 32 or 64 GB ever comes out, minus the SD card.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have music that is playable with Google Play Music player, but not with other players. I have chosen for the music to be "on the device", and it plays when even in Airplane Mode, so I know it is not streaming, but the music files do not show up in my "Music" directory tree, or under any other file trees that I can find. I have used ES File Explorer to do a top down search for some of the missing titles, but it doesn't find them. I'm perplexed. There must be a cache somewhere, but I can't find it.
View 5 Replies View RelatedTrying to find a way how to move music from google play to the stock music player. It has better sound quality, in my opinion, than google play itself. Any way to get music from google play to the music player app that comes with Android Ics.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently started using the Google Play Music free service, so I uploaded my complete music collection with the Music Manager software, everything is cool but I noticed that some of the album art looks kinda bad on my Nexus 7 (I guess is because the resolution). So my question is, if I were to change a tag of a song on my PC, will it be automatic updated to my google play account?
View 1 Replies View Relatedjust trying out Google Play Music today. I'm confused though as I have around 10000 music files sitting in a folder on Google drive. I can't see an option to ask Google Play Music to look into Google Drive and upload the music from there. I have connected my Google play music app on my nexus 7 to my Google account' but nothing seems to happen. Surely Google is able to connect two parts of its cloud together and I don't have to re upload everything?
View 1 Replies View RelatedAndroid user on a Nexus 4 and am a bit cautious about how much info I give Google.
I'm trying to figure out if the Google Play Music app tells Google what songs I'm listening to, or sends any other information to Google for that matter. If so, is there a way to turn that function off?
I know many people don't have an issue with letting Google know these kinds of things about them and that's fine. I'd just rather not. I didn't use Apple's genius recommendations on my iPhone either.
For the Google Play Music app, I know you can pin albums and playlists to your device so you do not have to stream them.
Is there anyway to simply pin all your music? Instead of doing each album or playlist individually?
I've been using google play music for the past few days. It was great and I could use the explore function to find new songs, however now the explore button is gone and whenever I try to do a search all that I get is the songs that i have saved to my library... Also on the web version of google play music, it doesn't sync any of the songs saved in my library from my device with the web version even though my device is listed there in the settings, is this normal? I'm using the all access 30 day trial and it hasn't expired yet. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S3 4g
View 3 Replies View RelatedGoogle music is for some reason downloading album art to my xperia play's internal storage instead of sd card. As you can guess, it's eating up ~100mb of my 400mb internal storage and the music files are still downloading to the sd card. Is there a way to make Google Play Music download album art to the sd card?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm uploading my music to GPlay Music to a better sync from my PC and my Tablet,
I set to get all my music offline, but it downloads to internal memory,
taking about 50% of avaiable space (2.0Gb)...
I was looking for a way (App Mod or something) to get all my music synchronized to external sdcard.
I want to move my iTunes over to Google Play music.
I guess in need a M4P to MP3 converter program.
Is there any way to get the Google Play music app to not see my podcast folder? I use BeyondPod and download podcasts to certain folder and would like to not see them in the Play app.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the Google Music App to my phone, and then downloaded a song from android market. When I go in to the google music icon on my phone, my song is not there. How do I find the music that I download from them? I have a Motorola DroidX.
View 6 Replies View RelatedThis has been a rather annoying issue for quite a while. Whenever I use the commands like "Listen to (Artist or Song)" or "Play (Artist or Song)" it never seems to recognize it. Instead it just does web search of what I said, I'm not sure where the problem is in it though. I have Poweramp and Play Music installed with plenty of music on file.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've been using play music on my HTC thunderbolt running twisted's latest ics build, and the only problem I have is that if I start a song in play music, go to the home screen, and then go back into play music there will be no song name album names album art or scrub bar (etc) for the duration of the song
I've tried rebooting, full wipe and re flash but I don't know what the problem is..I've googled for the problem but I haven't found anything as of yet.
I am using a Samsung Tab 2 10.1 P5113 and I updated my Google Play Music app to the update released on May 15th (the one with the "All Access" feature and ever since then it keeps crashing. It is completely unusable. I have tried everything I could think of. I was on CM 10.1 nightlies, then i went back completely to stock, I've unrooted, wiped, uninstalled, re installed, and every other idea I could think of. (Note that I have root and am running on stock Touchwiz so I can post a logcat if you need me to, also all of the other Play Music versions worked just fine for me.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have the new single charts on my tab. It's an album. On my PC every track has a different cover. But in Play music on my Nexus 7 the cover of the first track is shown at all tracks.
View 3 Replies View Relatedi was trying to organize my library today, accidentally renamed over 1100 songs to Eiffel 65 as the artist. No idea how something like this happened.
program that can analyze mp3's and rename them? I should be able to download all songs from my account, hopefully scan them with something, and then re-upload them with the correct names...
How do I make a backup of my settings, or which file do I need to extract when I want to make a backup of google play?
Issue is the follwoing, As google music currently saves all the music in the Data folder on the Phone (at least in my Galaxy Nexus) and no longer on the sdcard, every time I flash a new rom or an updat I loose Google music. obviously that is not an issue as I can reinstall the app, however the files I want to have locally on the phone need to be re-downloaded. the issue is that with the new install these settings have been lost, and I need to go back in the app and mark every file to be stored offline again from scratch.
I have also tried bracking up via Ti backup, however that leads into bigger problems as after restoring the app gets reset everytime I reboot....
Where is the artist info(bio etc) in the google play music I can't find it. I tried selecting to go to artist but it just shows top songs, albums and related artist no bio. I remember it being there somewhere and the info being the same as spotify but now it's gone , I tried several big artists to make sure
View 5 Replies View Relatedis it possible to get the music section in the play store outside the us? i have downloaded the google music.apk but i cant shop the play store and just some extra info, i used market enabler to make it a US store
View 2 Replies View RelatedA song can be playing then just stop. I have to hit the Play button again. It can continue for quite a while across multiple songs, or just stop again in 15 seconds, or 30 seconds, or 5 minutes, or ... Again and again. Needless to say, I want to throw it across the room when this happens right in the middle of an intense set of reps at the gym.
I'm not streaming, the music is loaded onto my phone. It happens at random points on random songs - the same song can play fine all the way through today, and not tomorrow. I'm using corded earbuds, but I don't think it's hardware as I've been sitting in a single position not moving (mid-strertch) with the phone on a separate, stable platform and it's just ... stopped. I've rebooted. I've removed and reinstalled Play Music.
I'm running a Nexus 4/KitKat on Telus. But from what I've googles, this problem isn't unique to the Nexus - but no one has found a solution.
Had this problem before loading Kit Kat but it seemed to have "mostly" gone away then come back again with KitKat. "Typically", but not always, music plays for a while but then once it stops the first time it just keeps it up.

So, I switched over to android from an iphone when the S5 came out - partially because I loath apple, partially because it seemed like(and is) an awesome phone.
However, I'm having one minor issue with it, and that's music management. Currently I'm just using the google play app, but my issue with THAT is I'd prefer to keep all my music ON the device so that I don't use data just to listen to music(Yes, it does cache it, but still). I've been putting my favorite albums as "keep on device", but the biggest issue is I have a LOT of music, and I don't want to have to go through every album and click the pin.
So,is there a way to make it so the play app uses "store on device" as the default? are there any other programs/apps to manage music on android similar to itunes?
