I want to root my htc explorer,but all the tutorials involve using official htc boot unlocker,I want to try that only as last resort.I tried simons unlocker ,it did not work,so is there any other method to unlock bootloader,?

Perfect condition and screen. Moving on from Windows Deadbile. View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently rooted and I thought it'd be cool to try and get some free in-app purchases. I looked at a tutorial and it told me to use Freedom and Market Unlocker Pro. I had to open Market Unlocker Pro and use the custom market code '25008'. I then opened Freedom and opened Clash Of Clans and tried to buy something, and as I thought, it didn't work. But since then my WiFi bars have been grey and I can't use the Play Store or any Google services. I can use the Google Search and the Internet but I can't get apps that I want on the Play Store. I've tried restoring and clearing data from Google Framework but that hasn't worked.

I got an HTC Explorer around a month ago and quickly found out how useless it was with the miniscule amount internal storage HTC decided to provide me with. So I quickly found jaggyjags' rooting tutorial found here: http:[url]....
All went well and I was happy with the phone, until some of the apps started bloating and I went a little too far with link2sd and tried to convert the com.htc app into a user app, which ended disastrously. Pretty much every process failed or had an error, so I tried restarting the phone and found myself in a boot-loop.
I then succesfully got into HBOOT and then into recovery. So I decided to try installing jaggyjags' custom ROM. After taking out my SD card to connect to my computer and copy jaggyjags' rom to, I got back into HBOOT, but could not get into recovery anymore. All the phone did was get stuck on the HTC screen.
After leaving it on the screen to see if it would eventually make it to recovery, I discovered that the phone is now dead and won't even charge. I'm not sure if it's because the battery might be dead or some other reason.
So I want to get the wife the Transformer Prime for her work, BUT they have a site that they MUST use that is Internet Explorer only. I've looked around a bit, but it seems nothing is available, but most of those threads weren't this specific and they all seemed to be pretty old. are there any options that will allow her to get to this site or should I just scrap the whole idea until her company moves into the current technological age?

my htc explorer is behaving weirdly. volume down button is keep on pressing itself. I tried to restart the phone then it went to boot menu. after restarting couple of more times now the phone is on but the volume down button is on keep on pressing itself. during the call the volume button is keep on pressing down itself and cant able to hear others voice. So, I want to know what can be the reason for that and is there any way to move that data part to SD card?
this is not making any sense in rooting the device as still my phone memory gets low.

I flashed the official nightly build of CyanogenMod on my Samsung Galaxy Ace.
The root explorer just closes when I try to open it. So I removed it, and installed it via an apk, same issue.
And when I download it from the market, it says it's "Purchased", but when I try to download it, it gives me a 403 error.
Htc has recently released desire s model which is almost same as htc explorer architecture wise... as you would be knowing that it has ice cream sandwich and sense 4.0 ..
So I was wondering if it could be easily ported for explorer...

I am using Eclipse and ADT to develop app on Android API9.While I know how to add permission through xml (text base).I am wondering how to accomplish this with eclipse UI since it looks pretty nice.and I think using that UI could avoid my typo mistake.
When you open up the AndroidManifest.xml, the explorer would let you view different aspect of it.Manifest, Application, Permissions, Instrumentation, and finally raw xml.
I think what I am looking for is in Permissions tab.After I click add->permission, Explorer tells me to fill in the following.Name, Label, Icon, Permission group, Description, Protection level .This is where I get stuck.I was expecting to click->browse... and then there will be some build-in available.like android.permission.INTERNET, but there isn't any.
I would like to know, is editing raw xml the only way to do this in eclipse?

The system works just fine after a fresh reboot of my PC. After a few hours, I get the "Login Fails" error (plain text or SMB). The only way to fix it is to reboot my PC. I believe its a Windows 7 setting that causing this. I searched all over the net for a fix and none of them worked. I tried:
Enabling Guest Account
Changed Advanced Sharing Settings
Set "Everyone" as read in the File Share Window
Enabled Inbound/Outbound rules in the Advanced Windows Firewall
Enabled sending unencrypted passwords to SMB via Local Security Policy
I can go into more detail of the fixes I tried if needed. What is an alternative to sharing files from a Windows 7 machine to Android devices? I feel like Ill never get ES File Explorer to work.
My htc explorer initially got stuck at the htc logo at boot and won't go any further.I searched for solutions on xda and tried to install Cyanogenmod 10.2 on it. Now the device gets stuck at cyanogenmod boot animation (was going on until half -an-hour ! )
Next i searched some more, caught TWRP recovery on a glance. Tried installing it, but my Laptop ( Win8.1 x64 ) doesnt recognize the device whatsover, even after installing the adb drivers and HTC SYNC. . Now i finally installed FLYROM v4 refined, and the phone is stuck at htc 'quietly brilliant' logo .
Nexus 7 2012 when connected to Win 7 pc is not recognized in explorer so can't transfer files between the two except when N7 is in camera mode.
I've read countless posts saying to update usb drivers. I have the latest installed now from Google. I had so much trouble getting adb & fastboot to work that I'm leery about messing with my usb drivers.
I signed my google drive account in the explorer, and i have folder with few photos that have the same name.. The explorer doesn't show all the photos..
