My galaxy s3 doesnt show any display at all excpet a pink screen that sometimes turns green n random colors. This is exactly what happened i had it in download mode than I accidentally turned it off after that its when it started happening. There is no water damage or broken lcd what can it be?

I bought my Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus three weeks ago, and I notice that when taking a photo, the image appears with pink lines in the gallery. I took it to be repaired, and they changed the camera, but the issue, still exists. Which made me think that probably it is not a hardware problem. The version is the OS is JB 4.2.2.

i cracked my Samsung Galaxy s3 screen and the screen was on working fine but i bought a kit to replace the screen and now i get no display on my samsung galaxy s3 i can charge my phone and Green led pops up i can also hear the volume as i turn it up and i can connect to computer as well but i cant see no display? Also phone was rooted to jellybean 4.3 if that makes a difference.

I think I'm having the pink issue. Has anyone returned the device due to this? I took a pic of this site on my iPod touch and the Inc. The thread looks blue-ish on the Touch, but pink on the Inc. Does anyone else's look this pink?

I got a very nice tier 2 rep who said he'd put me on the list for a replacement, but I would not receive it until mid august.Yesterday, my neighbor came over with a box; said that FedEx gave it to him since I was not home to sign. It was another inc! It was just the bare phone, and in the "certified replacement" packaging.No pink hue, no sound quality issues. I'm happy. I just found it strange that these things are on heavy backorder, and I somehow got one immediately.
View 5 Replies View RelatedJust got a new replacement. I never knew how PINK my screen was until I compared my old phone (which I got at launch day) with another unit side by side. Finally after 2 weeks wait I got a new replacement today and the screen is perfect now. Not even a slight amount of pink screen (other than on the rare gray shades). I thought my phone had only a mild case of "pink screen" but the comparison shot with the new replacement is shocking. I had no idea how BAD it was with the screen at low to medium brightness. Could this be the cause of AMOLED shortage. Its obvious HTC deemed these pink screens acceptable and now with so many returns are rejecting them because the new phones coming in are perfect. I HIGHLY recommend testing your phone with the new units coming in and compare at low brightness. If WHITES like on googles homepage have even a SLIGHT amount of pink hue at low brightness, return your phone.

The screen is completely pink, flashing, and you can't see anything through it. The only cure is to do a battery pull. I've tried everything else but a factory reset. Has anyone else had this issue and has anyone figured out a way to fix it? This is now a daily occurrence and it is very annoying because I use my camera quite a bit and have to pull the battery every time to use the camera again.
View 3 Replies View RelatedLast night, I noticed there was a pink blob down in the lower left corner of the screen, it bothered me but wasnt too bad, the rest of the screen looked normal. I went to bed, and when I woke up this morning the ENTIRE screen was pink - apart from that little blob which is now black. The colours are completely ruined, red and white is now pink and it doesnt show yellow at all, the messaging icon etc. is now a dark orange. I just bought the phone on thursday so this is a major problem for me, it's not exactly cheap.
The problem is that I'm from Norway and the Nexus isnt sold here, I bought it from a guy who had bought a lot in the US and was reselling, through our version of eBay. The box was unopened and everything, so it had not been tampered with. The problem is that they maybe won't let me return it because of this, and if I want help I'd have to ship it to the US, no help to get for it here.
Not sure what happened exactly but the camera view is now a pink screen with no visibility. Phone is not modded so I doubt it's something I did. Is this the result of water damage maybe? Everything else is working fine and the water indicator hasn't changed.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought a brand new Samsung Galaxy S on 8th October 2010 in Bangalore, India. two weeks later my screen developed a bright white line on the bottom. ( see pic attached ) I have not dropped or mishandled the phone in any way. I took it to the nearest samsung service centre... they told me that the display needs to be replaced ... They say that the phone display is out of stock and they dont know by when it will be available.
I feel really cheated ... after purchasing such an expensive phone one never expects it to malfunction in less than 2 weeks. And samsungs customer care reps very conveniently replied that they dont know when it will be in stock and to keep in touch via calls. So much for buying an amazing phone.
Noticed yesterday that on the homescreen when the phone was locked that a missed call and voicemail notification appeared as pieces removed from a jigsaw overlay of the background homescreen image. Hadn't seen that before. Is that a default thing or can I change it (did look rather cool though). I usually use the pattern lock rather than the default swipe lock, so I'm wondering if it's to do with that default setting.

It worked for a little while then started to do weird things, like having the display upside down, different colours in the screen display and not being able to turn on etc. I fiddled around and probably stuffed things up.
I have tried the three button set up system and have have used Kies to update drivers etc.
Now I have a black screen but I hear the start up sounds and the buttons on the bottom light up. No matter what method I try I cannot get the samsung symbol and start up display. I cannot flash because I cannot get any display.
I have purchased a usb jig and am awaiting delivery.Are there other operating systems that I can install. If so, what and how would I go about it.
I don't know what's wrong with my phone, but the screen display is messed up. Sometimes, the screen will display if I keep clicking the power button one-hundred times, but other than that it won't budge. Everything thing else works when I press the power button, the keyboard lights up, the home button and other buttons light, just not the screen. Like I said, I have to repeatedly press the power button so that in a slight chance, the screen might display.

I was wondering what is the best/easiest way to put my Android display on a PC so we can do our presentation on my phone the way it was meant to be shown.
So it would be my phone connected to a laptop, laptop connected to projector, and laptop displaying my phone's display on the projector.
This way we can also use our GPS location and use the app to take pictures which are both important parts of our presentation.
Any widget that will display a moving google map with my current location centered? There are a couple apps I've found that are close, they just don't update in realtime. The reason I ask is because I have my 7" galaxy tab mounted in my truck. I use a program called torque to add gauge widgets (coolant temp,boost pressure, rpm,etc) to my home screen and would like to have a moving map display as well. I understand this would be a battery hog,but the tablet is always plugged in.

Now to my issue: I like to watch video streams. The problem is, that the display will turn automatically off.
Solutions:
1. Play a stream with a video player - how can I do this?
2. Change settings so the display will not switch off on a stream, but will turn off when idle - is this even possible?
3. Turn off "turn off display when idle" setting - but I don't like this one.
The old symbian phone displays the area/location on home screen, even if the GPS/GPRS is not activated. This is provided by the network operator. I am missing the same in my Android phone.
Even My Location option does not display the area/location on homescreen, it displays only the Network operator name.
I tried looking for apps, but all are for displaying the operator's name but not location. I can check my location using any GPS application, but those does not display it on my home screen along with Operators name. I want it similar to my Nokia N81 where the operator name and area name are displayed.
The display area of my SGS has been reduced there is now a black line (approximatively 1 millimeter thick) around the display now anything that should be displayed has been centered (a kind of)i have noticed that after press-holding the HOME BUTTON (to get to the task manager).even when the phone that black border is still there and it look like the screen has been pushed down the display is not now at the same level as the top-cover (or screen cover).I have used the factory reset but nothing has changed.My phone look horrible now.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to get Froyo Kangerade 5.0.9 (PinkLife) running on my wifes newly rooted phone for about 3 hours now. I am getting major issues with this ROM. Random reboots, no wifi connection, etc. I have tried different kernels. I have wiped, wiped, wiped, and reflashed and have gotten no luck. Not really a feasible ROM for my wife. She really wants something girly (pink) and really liked the look of the Kangerade one but I just can't figure it out. So I am needing to move on to something else. Maybe CM or BB but I want to see if anyone knows of a good theme that I could use.

I tried to reset by pressing the power, volume-up and home keys at the same time then releasing all three buttons as soon as the Samsung logo appeared, but the option to reset never appeared. The phone just vibrates every few seconds and the screen stays black.
