May 31, 2014I have a GT P3100 with no baseband and IMEI, I lost EFS folder trying to flash slimkat and dont have a backup. Is there a way to repair it without a box??

Oct 17, 2013I have xtouch X1 with MT6589 SoC. have lost my IMEI while flashing a Rom i have tried many different methods but none has worked and in baseband version it says unknown and whenever i try to type in IMEI via engineering menu it says can't send AT command and i have flashed back to my stock rom via SP Flash Tools but even that didn't work, I have tried terminal emulator method MTK Droid tools method but none has worked even tried to replace the file of IMEI one but still same.

Feb 26, 2014I purchased a nexus5 off of some guy that was selling one in my local area. The phone was in the original box and I was pumped at getting one for a bit cheaper than they are on the play store. Although this last week it randomly could not connect to the network, so I called Telus (my Canadian provider) and after a half hour of troubleshooting they told me that the IMEI is blacklisted as a lost or stolen device? Is there anyway I can change the IMIE address?

Dec 23, 2012I'm having the documented problem of no data connection, always on roaming, after flashing to CM 10.1. My prior rom was CleanRom 5.1, and I have several nandroid backups from various roms over the last few months. GS3 (d2vzw) with root and unlocked bootloader.
So the question is... What's the best way to restore IMEI info and get mobile data back?
There are a couple of steps I'm not sure of:
Option 1: Flash a nandroid recovery, backup IMEI using terminal emulator, and then crack-flash away
1. If I restore my phone to a previous backup, is the correct IMEI information included?
2. Also having a problem getting the MD5 sum's to match. Should I flash through ADB instead of clockworkmod? Or use Odin to get back to stock and then re-root? If correct IMEI included with flash back to stock?
3. Assuming I restore a nandroid, the plan was to use "reboot nvbackup" in terminal emulator to save IMEI info.
4. Flash back to CM 10.1.
Option 2: Use IMEI Generator and NV Reader/Writer:

Jan 8, 2014I lost my phone. I forgot to note down the IMEI number. However i took TWRP backup of EFS Partition. I can open the EFS partition file through winzip software in my computer and see various files (like nv_data.bin etc). I want to find out the IMEI number from the backup.

Jul 3, 2013So I screwed up and lost the passphrase for TB encryption. I have a good working android backup with all the apps+data that I would want to use for my next rom flash. The problem is when I go to TB and disable encryption on my good backup it doesn't allow me to restore the data when I flash a new rom. is there a way to completely remove TB and all of it's app data so that I can start from scratch with TB in order to good unencrypted backups of my apps+data without completely formatting my SD card? I'm stuck on my current rom setup.

Jun 10, 2013I tried to upgrade my P3100 to Slim-p3100-4.2.2.build.6-OFFICIAL following the tutorial i found.
Result of this is that now tablet is non more able to enter either CWM recovery nor odin download mode and after normal boot i can only see a flashing Slim logo on the right part of the screen.
The best i am able to obtain is a "forced upload by key pressing" screen rebooting with all three buttons pressed.Odin can see the device but when i try to re-upload cwm is stits in Establishing connection.

Then i pressed volume up + power button and ended backing up my device on internal sd card wrongly. Now my phone working very very slow because of memory low.
I've tried to deleted the back up by pressing volume up + power and then deleted the files in "back up and restore"
but my device still low on memory, i tried to reset it few times and suddenly it goes on black screen
my tablet still able to finished load samsung logo and still looked fine on homescreen but after i slide it to unlock, the black screen is occurred
i still can access settings, home and back button specially when i access settings, i can't do anything like formating device or deleting applications
i've tried to restore factory settings using clockworkmode by pressing home button and volume up it worked. but when i try to restored my previous back up data, the black screen re occurred.
what should i do? if i can't fix this problem and will have to reset on factory settings, is there any application to read the back up data? since i backed up it on external sd card probably if i can read the data, i could restore some important data.

Nov 22, 2010Today I went to update my X10. While at work it wouldn't allow me to as it insisted I connected it to a computer. So at home I got the USB cabled hooked up to my Linux Laptop and then discovered it had to be a windows computer. Anyway, I got it hooked to a Windows computer and the update process began. I followed every instruction and set all tickboxes for backup. After unplugging this and plugging it back in and rebooting here and there, it finally reached the restore process. I left it restoring for a while.
When I came back to it, it said something had crashed. I don't know what as I'd just woken from a nap. But, it seems all my applications are restored. Yet my gmail account & facebook account have become disassociated from my phone and all my contacts no longer have any names or pictures. I opened the contacts/phone book and the list is completely empty. I tried to import contacts but it says it cannot find any anywhere. I have work related contacts as well as family & friends and really need to get my contacts back - please advise?

Oct 10, 2010I'm running rubix focused .5 and its been great, I installed the camera-search-voice fix and didnt have any problems along with having full camera functionality. Eventually I decided to try the Incognito theme since it had a "blurless" version. I noticed it changed my camera icon obviously but I didnt actually open it. I decided I didnt like it, so I restored my nandroid I made immediately before putting the theme on. Next thing I notice, my camera shortcuts are the generic green apk icon. And they dont work, at all.
I nandroid restore to an even earlier back-up (from right after applying rubix) and still no camera functionality. It doesnt appear in my apps under manage applications, the blurcamera.apk is in the system folder, and I tried deleting/replacing that again, and installing it right from the apk and I get an install failed. I don't understand how I could lose my camera app when I restore to a back-up that had it working fine.

Everything else (contacts, messages..) was restored.The paid applications are shown in the Market Download tab to install, but just that (because they are associated with google account).Nothing more. I lost about +50 apps with their user data.I searched all the net about it, but the only info I found it was that the backup and restore tool just save the application links.How about the user data? I reinstall some of the apps that I had, but no user data. Am I the only one that had this problem? Is there any advanced tool to try to undelete internal memory of the phone?

After a long research i fugered out that my IMEI was 0 (zero). I finded a lot of solutions to this problem but none of then was compatible with my device or brand.
Its possible to perform this in an Optimus L3? How can i access the Port Settings?

1.Connect phone by USB
2.Activate USB debug mode
3.Enter 3845#*920# in dialer if that doesn’t work try 3845#*925#
4.Select Port Settings -> Select CP Image Download
5.A new device should appear at let it install
6.Open Tutty and select serial protocol. Click on open
7.Type AT if response is not OK, change port number (it is possible that when typing you don’t see any letters)
8.Type at%imei, it should display a dummy IMEI
9.Type at%imei=x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x where x,x,x... is your orginal IMEI number (found under the battery of your phone). It should response IMEI WRITE OK
10.Reboot phone

General :: THL W8S - IMEI Invalid After Few Flash
Oct 23, 2013I bought recently my thl W8S, and I was experiencing some troubles with the battery charging (taking 10 hours) and my GPS connection.
So I decided to flash it via CWM. But I'm very new in the flashing and all this stuff. I tried a lot of things to get CWM , even thing I didn't know.
The problem of my IMEI came out atfer I installed this : [URL] ....
The recovery installer apk, I just click on it and when my phone rebooted, I didn't have any access to my SIM management, no more coverage of course.
I tried the *#06# and my 2 IMEI are just marked as "INVALID".
Since yesterday I tried few different operations to get if fixed but nothing is working.
I tried to use the engenering mode (menu CDS, Network information) and send the AT command with the IMEI but I got an error message : AT command is failed to send.
Then I tried to recreate the MP0B_001 file with some tools I downloaded. And I put it in the right folder (/data/nvram/md/NVRAM/NVD_IMEI/MP0B_001) instead of the old file. I reboot my phone, still the same trouble.
I can't find the stock rom to try to flash it with Odin ..
