Want to use my Acer tablet for GPS in the car. Would like to plug in a USB camera into the USB port and run to the rear of the car to act as a "backup" camera or "see behind" camera. Have not found any apps in the Android markets that will work.

I want to be able to attach specialty cameras to my android product such as infrared, thermal, and microscope. Preferably by USB given that it covers the broadest range of cameras. However for the purposes of this discussion any webcam will do. I know there are several apps that allow for streaming DSLR camera control via USB or wifi. I consider wifi to be unacceptable due to it requiring the network infrastructure. My question is really what is needed to get a webcam to be powered by the phone or tablet and streaming video?

I really want to use my camera in concert with an infrared light and infrared camera to have a high quality portable night vision. I am fairly certain that this is possible.
When I go into gallery I see my pictures on my external sd card. When I go into camera mode, the preview box is black and when I press the preview box, my external pics don't come up.

I want to connect external camera through usb hub for the board. There I enabled usb hub through g_zero.ko module and got the kernel messages as one usb hub has detected. But when I checked for devices as ls /dev/video*, I didn't see any new device relate external camera. May I know any procedure to recognize video camera device for zoom3 board.

Is there any way to control and adjust the sound level when recording video? I recently took a video at a concert and the sound is clipping really bad. I also tried to connect various external microphones to the phone but then I only get statics / clicking noises.
Is it possible to connect an external microphone to the phone? (except for the one from the hands free set). Especially with the coming HD video recording feature for the X10 the sound quality really doesn't measure up to the video quality.
After i tried to root my tablet with "tookit" and now even after hard-reset it keeps rebooting even during Android Updating for the first use.
View 1 Replies View RelatedToday i tried rooting my tablet using this URL>...I did everything from the instructions and first time didn't work. I tried 2nd time and it didn't work. Then I downloaded the RV27RC03_WW_GEN1 system.img, copied it in the "system_image" folder. I started rooting it for the 3rd time (because I was a fu*ktard) and when it finished it was bricked. I tried turning it on, but it wouldnt turn on, then i inserted a needle in the reset hole. It turned on, but it froze on the acer logo. When I got in the system recovery I made a factory reset.

I own an Acer liquid mini.. I find myself less fortunate then those who own a Samsung galaxy ace or Samsung galaxy fit. Although Acer liquid mini has same specifications like the Samsung galaxy ace but with a better RAM but still no one is interested in porting cyanogenmod 7 ( working) - or cyanogenmod 9 for the Acer liquid mini. I am quite an Android gaming geek. I rooter my Acer A510 around a month back. Before rooting, I used to have games that force closed occasionally. Now, I have certain games that regularly FC as well.
Anyway, someone mentioned to me that rooting my tablet caused the instability. I do not believe it to be the case.
Does rooting (mind you: root alone, no custom ROMs whatsoever) cause instability among apps and games, causing them to crash more frequently than they otherwise should?
it is possible to make Android and Windows dualboot or not. The Acer Support told me that the bootloader is locked, so it is impossible to install it without hacking. So what I want to know is how I can hack the UEFI? I like Windows,but only for school or homework. I need Android aswell...

But I have 100Mb of free space. I tried to solve this problem wiped cache, and it worked. So I went to the play store, and I downloaded an app. When it finished the download, I get another error: Package files is invalid. I tried to reflash the rom, wiped cache, wiped delvik cache, wiped all. But the error there is always.When I try to install an .apk on my device, I get this error: "application is not installed".

After the last change of hour ( i say it, but i don't know if there any coinsidence), my smartphone who was on automatique date/hour, was always bloqued in flight mode. If i change the mode, it will be good during seconds, and back in flight mode.
I have changed it, in manual mode, i put the time and date, and now it stay in Gsm mode, all is correct.
But when i put on my smartphone, it run under flight mode, i must change it, put in gsm mode, and it stay like that.
But the problem, is at each power up, i must begin this operation.
Is it possible to unlock the bootloader on an Acer Iconia a200, if the tablet will not boot into Android?
While in fastboot mode, I enter FASTBOOT OEM UNLOCK, then I use the volume button to select the unlock icon and it tells me this:
