View 1 Replieshave a problem with my acer iconia b1-710 16gb. I tried to install custom fonts with rom tool box and when it asked me to reboot my device I got stuck on acer logo.
View 4 Replies View RelatedToday i tried rooting my tablet using this URL>...I did everything from the instructions and first time didn't work. I tried 2nd time and it didn't work. Then I downloaded the RV27RC03_WW_GEN1 system.img, copied it in the "system_image" folder. I started rooting it for the 3rd time (because I was a fu*ktard) and when it finished it was bricked. I tried turning it on, but it wouldnt turn on, then i inserted a needle in the reset hole. It turned on, but it froze on the acer logo. When I got in the system recovery I made a factory reset.

What should I do?..Is there any method to do reset or should I just waiting until the battery is die?
I just found this on the Web, it appears to be straight forward and gives you multiple options to root.
How to ROOT your Android phone or tablet. Droid rooting.
HTC Droid DNA using the NuSenseONE MAX ROM 5.5/4.4.2
I am thinking of buying an Iconia Tab A1-810 which I plan to sometimes use to watch movies on my TV. Since it has an HDMI port I assume it will be pretty straightforward but my question is will it be able to output 1080p or at least 720p movies on my TV. Will there be lag or something?

View 9 Replies View RelatedIf Acer Iconia A110 supports USB hosting/OTG?
I want to connect USB ethernet, essentially.
On a general note if it doesn't, can it be achieved via some app with/without root?
on my new and first tablet, the menu tends to appear top right of each app (is this normal for tablets or an Iconia quirk?) On Facebook, I cannot get to an app menu (on my phone I have a menu with Logout, Setting and About). I actually want to disable all the location based stuff that eats my battery but cannot work out how to.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if there was a way I can root my Acer Iconia B1-710 Android tablet ([URL]... ) It is running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. I have tried multiple methods but it keeps telling me that I have not enabled USB debugging mode (and yes I activated it & the thing that allows non official apps).
I did find this thread on the matter ( [URL].... ) but I am not sure if it is out dated and what to do with any of the files. Also if it is possible, installing a ROM ( at least thats what I think it is) that will aid me in making my battery last longer).
I have a little/big problem with my tablet, last night I tried to access root from this tutorial but, I get Reboot Loop even if the access root is ok, I checked with "check root".
I tried with toolkit with the following image:
RV03RC08:
system.img.gz
What can I do to get out reboot loop? (( , I tried with reset factory, wipe data /format, everything.
it is possible to make Android and Windows dualboot or not. The Acer Support told me that the bootloader is locked, so it is impossible to install it without hacking. So what I want to know is how I can hack the UEFI? I like Windows, but only for school or homework. I need Android aswell...
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to unlock the bootloader on an Acer Iconia a200, if the tablet will not boot into Android?
While in fastboot mode, I enter FASTBOOT OEM UNLOCK, then I use the volume button to select the unlock icon and it tells me this:
SetUnlockedMode: Error occured while unlock the device ...
Fastboot: Failed to set unlock mode
I buy new Tablet Acer Iconia B1-711 and i found i can't make acall from it and it's 3G and i can add SIM CARD !!
What i have to do to make it make calls ?
I have an Acer Iconia a500 which last had ics flexreaper. It worked great for many months but suddenly my tablet stopped booting up. I tried to install a different rom thinking maybe it just had errors and it still would not boot. I then decided to try reinstalling flexreaper but when i tried to boot into recovery, it says recovery verification failed. the problem being that it still won't boot up either so i am unable to reinstall clockmod recovery nor am i able to install a working rom. I am at a loss on how to boot it up now.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAll I did was turn it off then screwing around I held the power button and vol+ and hit screen rotate lock switch as it was booting, then it read:
erasing userdata
unrecoverable bootloader error
And thats it. unfortunately adb is not turned on and now the tab will not boot past the secondary booting screen that reads Iconiatab, what is worse since I still have the stock recovery I cant flash anything that I have found. I have tried to flash the Stock A200 rom that is supposed to be stock recovery flashable but it only gets about 1/4th of the progress line before the dead android with the triangle !! sign appears. and of course I dont have the cpuid or sbk, so I cant flash anything in APX mode either....
Any way this is the name of the rom that wont finish installing in the stock recovery flash :
(Stock Rom)Acer_A200_AV032.RV09RC08_AV041.RV04RC02_PA_CUS 1_1330081316944_80bf3f7e_decrypted.zip
But any way the download is at 4shared, and I got the link from the Acer Tablet Forums)It is Titled Original Stock Rom, and it should have been able to have been flashed through the stock recovery, but di not, and I dont know if it is the rom, or the tablet that is the cause of it not flashing through the stock recovery....
And I have tried a few other update.zips to no avail, but that was the only full rom I found, and certainly the only one with the bootloader blob in it.
I recently purchased an acer iconia b1-a71 tablet. It has come with android 4.1.2, and there is no further system updates are available. I would like to upgrade to jelly bean 4.2 - my reason for this is because I can't seem to bluetooth pair my tablet and htc one together for internet tethering. I've read that jelly bean 4.2 may fix this.
I saw this one here: [URL]...which says: ps .My device ( Acer iconia b1-a71 8gB) OS is android 4.1.2 (B1-A71 RV04RC05_TWN_GEN1) want to upgrade to android 4.2(B1-A71.RV05RC05.TWN.GEN1)
I upgraded to RV05RC05, which I was led to believe contained jelly bean 4.2 - but the tablet still says its 4.1.2. I also rooted it using this page: [URL]... but it's still the same.
So is there actually an operating system update to jelly bean 4.2? Or, is there a way that I can bluetooth pair for internet tethering (from the phone, to the tablet) without the update?
I have acer iconia b1 tablet and I tried to root it and during the process the USB cable disconnected .. now the device wont start. I tried to clear data and factory default and I tried clearing catch but nothing worked. I think the system crashed. I don't now what to do.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI rooted my Samsung Conquer 4g on the Sprint network. I downloaded Wifi tether App (had to go to a website on my computer, then use the QR scanner app on my phone to download the app since Sprint won't allow it on the Android market place.) So my problem is now that my laptop and Ipod touch can see the wifi hot spot and connect to it just fine BUT my Honeycomb Acer Iconia Tablet A100 can't find the SSID wifi connection. It shows all other connections except for my wifi hotspot. why it won't show up on my tablet?
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to change the Display output resolution in Android?
I'm not talking about the screen density (DPI). I'm talking about the pixels.
The thing is I own an Acer Iconia A700 FullHD tablet but there is lag, especially on 3D games that forces the native screen resolution of 1920x1200.
So forcing the resolution from 1920x1200 down to 1280x800 would theoretically reduce those lags.
So it works with some games that comes with an option to change the resolution, but most games doesn't have an option, they simply run in 1920x1200 and lag really badly.
Is there a way to change the overall resolution down to 1280x800 ?
I know it MIGHT be possible but there could be a problem because the image has to get upscaled to the native display resolution.
And I don't know if the Tegra 3 comes with an hardware scaler. So if the resolution gets changed, it might get upscaled and filtered (or not) OR just centered in a smaller image in the middle of the screen.
But either way.. Is it possible? if yes, how?
Any way to dual boot Windows XP or 7?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just went through the process of compiling a custom ROM and they used a stock kernel. I would like to incorporate a different kernel when I compile and instead of the stock. I know I could compile them separately and have them flash together but I want one zip to flash. View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to make a custom kernel for the Samsung Gravity SMART using sources from the unofficial CM9 port for the Gio/Ace (which both use very similar hardware to the Gravity Smart). What I've succeeded at so far:
1) Acquiring the source, both for the CM9 kernel and for the stock Froyo kernel
2) Searching for the device-dependent references in the stock kernel
3) Porting those changes over to the CM9 kernel
4) Getting everything to actually compile
5) Acquiring the stock CM7.2 source
6) Creating device makefiles (i.e. BoardConfig.mk, etc)
7) Building CM7.2 using kernel built in step #4
8) Putting the various img files into an Odin-compatible .tar.md5
9) Actually flashing to the phone.
And for all that work, I got.. a soft-bricked phone (fortunately, I have an Odin file for stock firmware). The phone boots to a SAMSUNG logo (not flashing/throbbing). how the heck do I figure out what's actually failing? Is there a bootloader to unlock, and if so how do I unlock it?
I successfully installed Humberos JP2, everything I need works fine and it is rooted, but I cant get 3G connection, my Galaxy Tab is the P1000L from Telcel.
The phone is working fine, WiFi fine, but no 3G.
