It was working fine until today. I haven't been able to get any new emails all day today, but my Gmail email comes in just fine.
I tried deleting the account from my phone and re-adding it, but it still doesn't work.

Has anyone gotten their hotmail to work? I got it to work the first time using the POP3 and STMP method posted all over the net but then when I go to check again, I just get connection error. I tried setup again and I get the "ERR login allowed only every 15 minutes" message. I know I'm probably only one using hotmail these days but that's where most my contacts are.

This has been working for me for weeks now but suddenly it is giving me "incorrect username or password" error.
Over the past 2 days i have noticed that the green led is no longer flashing when i receive an email.Has anyone else got this issue?I cant see a specific option to enable the led, so i doubt i have turned it off (plus it sometimes works).I was thinking of doing a hard reset - anyone got any advice before i do this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got the Moment the other day, and one of the first things I did was to try and set-up my 2 hotmail accounts. After I put in my address and password it said "checking incoming server settings", after a few seconds it then told me "setup could not finish" and that it was "unable to open connection to server". I have no idea why this is, and I've been searching the internet since, but I am unable to find a solution. Does anyone know why this is and how to fix it. I'm using the basic Email app that came with it, but I've heard things about downloading a different Email app. I also have a task killer installed but I have set-up it to ignore the Email app.

Yesterday I powered up the phone and it went to the start-up screen that displays the phone's logo: "Exhibit II 4g," and it froze on that screen. I tried to remove the battery to reset it. I looked at some online forums about "brick walls" and tried to remedy the problem with those. I think I tried to reset to the factory configuration. I tried using the Heimdall One Click, Odin, Z image, Winrar, etc,etc. I just followed the steps because I thought that reseting the phone to its factory default setting would correct whatever was causing the phone to freeze. I am a total novice with this stuff, what "flashing" or "rooting" mean.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI got the phone rooted successfully using the Zerush method. It's been working well for a few days now. I installed all kind of software on it and not a single problem.
Today, I came across a new software called Adfree from the Android Market. It installed fine. I went to shut off my phone and restart, and it stuck on the first screen of Samsung Exhibit 4G.reboot my phone again? I have tried hard reset holding the volume down button and power with no luck.
I am looking for a way to restore the Samsung Exhibit II 4G to the stock 2.3.6 ROM. NOT 2.3.5. I have found a way to get 2.3.5 on and I did but did not find a way to upgrade to 2.3.6, as Samsung's Kies software said my phone was not support in Kies 2.0. I flashed Peach Sunrise on it and am using it now but for future reference or errors would like to find a way to go back to stock 2.3.6. Any way or have the stock 2.3.6 rom that I could flash?

Right now I have a Exhibit that can not do anything.
On the screen it saw
"Firmware upgrade fail !"
" Try using recovery mode"
I can not go into Downlaoding mode, I can not go into Recovery mode
ODIN does not recognize my phone at all
Kies tries to connect to my phone but the circle turns infinite number of times and gives error.
Kies connection troubleshoot doesnt work either.
I do not have any backup thingy in my kies too, even i do i cant connect the phone.
I'm currently a product tester for LaptopMate/Anker Power, and I just thought that if I could get enough people to want to buy an extended battery for their Samsung Exhibit II 4G, I could suggest them to make some. I have close contact with one of their employees, and she is willing to try to make it happen if enough people wants it.

Ive got a Samsung exhibit 2 4g and I want to root it. Except when I connect usb, it always says cannot install driver. I've gone to device manager and it has two listings saying "SAMSUNG Android USB Composite Device" with exclamation marks next to it. Ive factory reset the phone and I have usb debugging on to. It also wont list for adb devices. Ive burnt about 6 hours for this and nothing.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIt is my first time to run cyanogenmod on my phone. I have the Samsung Galaxy Exhibit 2 4G and I tried to install the CM 11 of jfbs. I did all the backups and I wiped the data and cache and installed the ROM and Gapps. But I rebooted my device and the Cyanogenmod logo appeared with the spinning arrow and it didn't want to stop spinning (or loading if you want). My phone was stuck on logo and the spinning arrow. I forced the phone to turn off and when I rebooted it I worked but after a little time it went back to the logo and the spinning arrow. I re-installed the ROM and Gapps but like before, the logo and the spinning arrow still there until now and it won't even stop and lead me to the lock screen.

Somehow the feature was disabled or removed and I struggle to enable it again. Other threads mentioned an update followed by a reboot. I'm not aware of any OS updates and I've done several reboots without any change to the issue. Also, these threads seemed to be US related and about other and slightly older phones.

The mobile network works and im able to make calls, but the data doesnt (all switched on).
Phone is THL W8S running latest v1.0.6 firmware.
Basically I want to know what the best app for accessing your hotmail account is. I used to use the default HTC mail app on my HTC Desire, but it only polls/pulls email every 15minutes via POP3. Also even after deleting the emails in the app, they would still remain in the Webmail inbox. I then moved onto SeVen, this apparently offered some 'push' facility but all I found is that e-mails would arrive 40minutes late and it would drain the hell out of my battery.
MailDroid/K9 Mail seem promising, haven't been able to distinguish much between them but K9 looks better (on a side note, can IMAP idle be used for hotmail or not?).

I rooted my phone (Samsung Galaxy S Showcase i500) the other day and deleted a lot of the stock apk files, the ones that I thought I didn't need .
One of them was Voice Search (and also voice commands, if that matters). Now, my speech or voice to text in my text messaging program is not working. Whenever I press the mic icon, nothing happens. Through searching I think I've determined it's because I deleted the voice search apk?
Whenever I go to the Market to download Google Voice Search, the Market says its already "installed"...but obviously its not?! I've tried downloading the file from other places but when I try to install it says "There is a problem parsing the package."
Bottom line, how do I get my speech to text back?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Exhibit II, rooted and unlocked. Since I bought it I have been having a most distressing issue:
Sometimes I try to make a phone call and the sound is completely turned off (on both ends of the call). The other side cannot hear me, and I cannot hear them. I can see the time running, the call is connected (I can see that even through the other device), but there is no sound on both ends, regardless of what is the other phone (mobile or land line).
1. No, I am not pressing mute or add call with my face.
2. It does not work at all to press speaker phone, mute, or any other button while on call.
3. No, I do not plug in headsets or headphones prior to calls, nor at any other given time. Since I got the phone about 2 months ago, I only plugged the headphones once.
4. Yes, it does take sometimes 2 or 3 reboots so that the problem goes away. But the problem does return very often. At least once a day now.
5. Restoring phone to stock did not work at all.
6. The issue is also not related to my ROM, as I already installed different ROMs (currently, I have PeachSunrise, but I am using Go Launcher Ex on top of it). I already used, with the same effect, the stock ROM, Go Launcher Ex after rooting over stock ROM, and now Go Launcher Ex on top of PeachSunrise.
7. I uninstalled all active programs (and their related services and processes, which were Lookout and Easy Battery Saver).
8. I even tried replacing some files to see if I could have the problem solved, but nothing changed at all. And, since I am not very savvy at these things, I tried replacing what I personally thought could be linked to the problem. These were:
a) phone.apk
b) contacts.apk
c) contactsprovider.apk
d) Phone_Util.apk
e) PhoneCrashNotifier.apk
f) PhoneErrService.apk
g) SpeechRecorder.apk
In the last 3 weeks, I've found that Chrome To Mobile has stopped working for my Chrome browsers on mulitple desktops, to multiple devices. "Print" requests on the Cloud Printer Beta page show my requests, stuck in a perpetual state of "Queued" ... until I delete them.
Deleting and adding the devices hasn't worked. Neither has stopping and restarting Chrome sync.
