I tried to install JB 4.1.2 from 4.0.4. It installed with a ROM. Only problem: Wifi keeps on error: Turning On. No bluetooth working and no mobile internet.
Any possible way to downgrade? I tried via CWM 5 recovery, but it always says: Can't op xxxxxx.ZIP
Factory Reset doesnt reset the kernel ofc.

The upgrade worked well but now I cannot get on the a mobile network, I cannot connect properly with Bluetooth and I cannot even download apps. My phone has become completely useless. Is there a way I can get it back to it's original 2.2 format?

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy phone has froyo 2.2. I downloaded 2.2 from the thread on this site to update manually. I want to downgrade to factory 2.1 When I place the 2.1 update back on my phone and hit update I get the following message:

Verifying update package
Installing Update
E:Error in /sdcard/update.zip (Status 2) Installation Aborted How can I downgrade to 2.1 if I get this error? How do I fix this?

View 5 Replies View RelatedEver since I got android 2.2 a couple of days ago, I've been having this problem with my text messages where I'm not getting a text until hours after someone ends it to me. I never had this problem before I download 2.2 so I don't think its just a conisidence that it started immediately after I made the upgrade. I want to downgrade back to 2.1 and see if that solves the problem. how would I do this? Would the process be the same as upgrading to 2.2 was? Where would I go to get the 2.1 file?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am tryibng to downgrade my Hboot from 0.93 to 0.8 and am following this guide:[HOWTO] Downgrade Froyo (2.2) to Stock 2.1 (ANY HBOOT | WIN/LINUX/MAC | ROOT) - xda-developers The reason I amn doing this is because with Unrevoked I get a Validation Error Backup CID Is Missing or words to that effect.I understand that downgrading to an earflier Hboot version would make Unrevoked work and I can then root my htc desire.This is where I have a problem:

Then it reboots my htc desire and a white screen with skateboarding androids shows up, from there in the instructions it tells me to push up for flashing if i do that it goes to the nerxt option which is sim lock and I dont think that is what it is meant to be.If I boot into reocvery the phone freezes at a screen pic of the phone with a gtriangle and exclamation mark and so I take the battery out and reboot that way. Please can someone explain where am I going wrong here?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI decided to try and root to install a custom 2.1 rom on my Telus HTC Hero running firmware 1.5 (build 2.73.661.46 CL#74632 release-keys), but I'm failing miserably! I'm following the goldcard method to downgrade before rooting but every time I create a gold card it fails. I remove the card and either insert it into the phone or PC and both tell me it's unrecognised and needs formatting.
I've tried 4 different micro SD cards (stock 2GB, class 4 4GB, class 4 8GB, generic 2GB) all with the same result. Is this because I'm running Windows Vista or Windows 7 (I get the same result on two different laptops)? If I install XP will I have more luck? Or do I just need to keep spending yet more cash on unneeded micro SD cards? Or just keep trying with the same cards over and over agian? Failing that, I'll buy a prepared goldcard if anybody has a spare one lying around?
so i have looked every where, and from what i have been able to figure out is that this error is due to either an SD card not willing to become a goldcard or the RUU i downloaded is incorrect. i downloaded the RUU from bak2basiks page which is what a few of my friends downloaded and worked for them. and i tried to dl it from xda site but that link is dead. so before shooting myself in the face my friend recommended that i try the fountain of knowledge that is androidforums.com. I heard that there were issues with several gvoice updates, so I haven't updated google voice since 0.2.8 and it is working just fine- every call connects, no problems. Is there anything I have to do specifically to get the video out to work (for displaying my app on the tv)? or will the phone just display a running app on the tv without extra work?
I'm trying to determine whether or not my phone is defective, or if this is a current problem with the Cliq.
Of the apps I've downloaded, only a few of them have worked. Of those few that work, some don't work right. Has anyone had problems with these apps crashing on them, or just not working correctly?
- Nice Battery (see description at bottom of: My Ultimate CLIQ settings (so far))
- WeatherBug (kept showing the wrong location, crashed when trying to change location)
- Snake - doesn't work just says its "paused"
- RingDroid - crashes when I select the "Facebook Pop" button
- Layar - screen is rotated 90 degrees at all times
There have been others, but usually I just uninstall them right after discovering it doesn't work right.
I've had an HTC Desire on Orange in the UK for about 6 weeks and it is having persistent problem. Firstly despite having a strong 4-bar out of 4 signal, online services and the internet do not work at all when a 3G signal is being received (e.g. news, weather, all widgets, internet, email etc).Calls and texts do work however with a 3G signal.But when a 3g+ signal (HSDPA) is being received, all internet services as above work fine.However, when a 3+ signal is being received, the phone does not make or receive calls or text messages, and often fails to send texts. Calls I make immediately shut down (bleep + �call ended�), and incoming calls from other people go straight to answerphone. Also often when turning the data connection on/off, it freezes and has to be rebooted, and turning airplane setting on and off does not fix the problem.
I have also tried the different network settings (GSM, WCDMA, auto, etc). �GSM� sends and receives calls and texts but doesn�t work (or is incredibly slow) with internet, and �auto� and �WCDMA only� show the problems as above.I don't think this is a network/coverage issues as, as I have seen many people reporting these same issues on other networks and in other parts of the UK, and I have read that other people are having to manually turn off HSDPA to be able to make calls (using an app?). Even if I can stop HSDPA from connecting to make sure the phone works, I still can�t use the internet at all on 3g � even GSM works better!
Finally, when I connect to a bluetooth device (e.g. car and headphones) the phone will connect briefly, and then randomly disconnect. I have also seen this issue reported elsewhere.I very much like the phone and don't want to get rid of it, but these problems are making the phone unuseable.Also I don't know if I should be contacting HTC or Orange about this. Will the upcoming Android 2.2 fix these problems?Anyone know how to fix this or if I need a new handset? Are there any apps that can help? Also does the Nexus One have these problems and are they fixed by Froyo?
So I made a discovery - my dialpad doesn't work during a call. Even if I bring it up via the softkeys, the numbers don't register a tap...anyone. else have this issue or is it just my phone?

I do have my data connection in all the cases with no problem... but I can't figured out how to make it work..how mms really work? How multitasking actually works and how to close apps. For example I am playing a game then I press the multitasking button to select the webbrowser. Well if I immediately switch back to the game again, it will resume where I left it. But if I wait a little bit longer and then switch back, it will automatically start the app from new. I lose all my progress. This happens so often and I am think this is not multitasking at all.
Also when I swipe to close an in multitasking mode, it just doesn't close the app. For example I am using navigation but then I don't need it anymore. I press the multitasking button, swipe up to close the up. And then I noticed it isn't closed at all but there is no app for it when I enter multitasking mode. I'd have to actually open the app and manually close the app from inside to actually make it quit.
If I get a sensation xe that has been unlocked using a code by one of these guys you see up the local high st will it stay unlocked if i do a factory restore or will it have to be unlocked again? and will it upgrade to ice cream sandwich ok without relocking.

Anyway i know that basically during the jailbreaking process, the software uses an exploit on bootup and injects codes during the signature check on every level to make the idevice think that what it is running is legit, unmodified apple software. Hence why tethered jailbreaks need the original program to bypass iboot, because an exploit has not been found deep enough in the system to work in iboot aswell.
So how does rooting compare? Dont be afraid to explain using big words and in detail.
I have Micromax A110. Have internal SD 2GB and External SD 2GB. I have install few games. But as my Internal SD is full. I have kept game data on external SD. But game is not able to detect that. In Storage, i have kept default write disk to external SD. But still after i Install games and copy game data on external SD, it doesnt work.
