I am wondering if there is a way to change a video's "Date Taken" information on Android.
I am doing a "one second everyday" project with the official app but some of my videos I downloaded from another device so they all show up on the same day.
So to sum up, If I record a video, or download it from a friend's phone, a video on a Friday, is there anyway I can change it's "date taken" to Monday.

I am trying to make an android live wallpaper for Xperia P. The resolution for the screen is 540x960.
1) I exported the animation as .mp4 and it came out around 4mb. Is there a way to create an .apk using this mp4 file that will work as live wallpaper and if yes how?
2) Do I have to multiply the width if I want to fit more than one screens? So for three, would it be 540 x 3?
3) Can I just repeat the main live wallpaper(540x960) instead of multiplying the width so that the same animation appears on all screens?
How do I change the default video player? Right now it is set to open and play videos in the default Android video player, but I want to use a better, more feature rich video player from the marketplace. I tried using apps that changed defaults, but they didn't have any options for videos, just which default app would open pics.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI noticed that the videos in Youtube looked much better on my new phone then on the previous phone and thought that the Youtube app was defaulting to the HD stream (previous phone had really crappy WiMax, new phone is LTE @14Mbps even inside a large warehouse). After toggling it on and off to be sure it was indeed off, it appears that it still is using a higher bitrate stream probably because of the great LTE. What is strange though, is that last week, Youtube was averaging 150-200MB a day after watching a couple of videos. This week, after toggling HD on/off, it's nearly 3-4x as much and rapidly using up my data for the month. The "regular" stream also doesn't look that much different at all from the "HD" stream, so it could be it's stuck on the HD stream because of the high bandwidth my LTE connection has (or something else).
I want to use a lower quality stream to conserve my data, but have not been able to find any way to do so within the Youtube app, or via a Xposed module. Is there any way to choose the video size at all on a Android device? I'd prefer to stick with the stock Google Youtube app (via some external control/option?), but if I have to use some other app to do so I will.
I have loaded the small calendar (HTC) widget on my home screen. Every morning when i turn on my phone the date on the widget is yesterday's date. When I set the time to 11:59PM the date changes when the clock changes to 12:00AM when the phone is active but the date does not change when the phone is inactive?

The custom rom is based on 4.2.2 but it has all apps of 4.4 like camera, launcher, calender, gallery etc. The problem I am having is that the camera app doesn't have any option to change video recording resolution. It always record video in 640x480 resolution. but in my stock rom It used to record video in 720p resolution.
I installed camera mx app from playstore and this app gives me 720p recording option. View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to sync a rostering app between two devices using dropsync. The .db files that need syncing are in the /data/ data/com/databases directory. Using Root explorer I can change the permissions to give full rw permission to others. The two .db files will then upload to the dropsync server.The problem is that whenever the app is opened and anything modified, the permissions change back to default and thus dropsync can't access the modified .db... Is there anyway to change this or am I wasting my time? what is the 'sticky' box option in RE?

So lets say the directory is protected by the username FrancisFord and the password is Copola and the URL is URL...., you would enter this address when streaming from a URL:
URL.....Remember to remove the www from the URL and that the username comes first then the password seperated by a colon, followed by the @ symbol. URL....
So, I have video's uploaded to my personal site. I password protected the directory with .htaccess. The permissions of the videos are set to 777. If I surf to the directory of the video through the browser on my Galaxy S II, it asks for a username and password and then displays the files that are there. When I click on a file, it tells me that I cant play the video and thats with any video player I use. If I try to play the video in my browser itself by putting it into something like JW player, it also doesn't work. The only time it works is when I unprotect the directory. Then it streams it fine.
I am using A Samsung Galaxy SII (s2) or Epic 4G touch from Sprint. I have Cyanogen Mod 10, beta 2 with Jelly Bean on it. I use the built in browser and also Chrome. The video players I have tried using to no avail are:

I have a HUAWEI g300, and while the quality of still images taken with the camera are great, video quality is awful. Or, to be more specific, the audio that goes with the video is very poor.
I believe that this may be due to the file format of the video.
For this reason, I would be interested to know whether there are any ways to change the file format which videos are recorded in. Are there any alternative camera apps that are any good, which ideally allow the user to select their own file format? My device is rooted btw.
