I did a series of upgrades these days (HTC software, googles, updates, etc) and now all my google calendar reminders start 10 minutes before they should. I went to the calendar settings and marked the "default reminder time" as "on time", but whenever I'm creating a new event the reminder is set to 10 minutes before as default...which forces me to change it back to "on time" always.

When I program a event in the calendar, with reminder (for example 15 minutes before event), the phone ring at the correct time. In notification bar, an icon appear and when I "click" on it, I can choice "ignore" or "later" (i'm not sure of the translation, because my ROM is in french).
But the problem is that's impossible to choice the time for the next alarm. If I click on "later", the phone re-ring 5 minutes later.
Is it possible to modify something to permit to choice the time for the next alarm ? (in system files, build.prop or other place) ?
That works in widows mobile 6.5: when reminder occurs, a menu permit to repeat in 1, 5, 10, 15, 30 minutes or more.
If possible, I prefer not install another calendar application, but if base calendar application cannot be modified to have this option, could you give me name of application which permit it ?
I have configured my phone to connect to my Microsoft Exchange server and when the calendar syncs all the appointments are 30 minutes early. I have connected to a second exchange account on a different site and it does the same. I have checked the timezones and they are correct. Also the default purple with black text is drive me nuts so any suggestions on changing this would be great.

There is no entry to specify how long to blink. I want the LED to blink until I turn the phone on. Otherwise it is useless.

View 2 Replies View RelatedEver since updating to Kitkat, my phone either beeps, or if I put notifications on silent, it vibrates, every 5 minutes. It's very annoying and I can't find the cause. I now have to have my vibrations turned off too so I don't know when I'm getting a text any more. I did have a problem during the update and had to take my phone to the Sprint store and they did a hard reset. I'm using a galaxy S4 on Sprint.

Is there a way to be notified when a calendar event is added to a shared calendar? I love using the shared calendar, but I sometimes overlook new events that were added by others.
View 3 Replies View RelatedPreviously, I was just using the stock calendar app on my GNex (whatever would come with the gapps package from 3/1), but I noticed the Play Store version got updated, and my stock one couldn't "update" to that version for whatever reason. So, I installed the one from the Play Store and disabled the stock app.
I always let any calendar events leave a notification in my notification pull down menu, because it's a good easy reminder that I have something to do in the near future (so I don't forget, duh). But with this new Play Store version, if I leave the item in my notification bar, when my screen is off, the notification LED constantly blinks white. It never did this on the stock version. I want it to stop doing that, but I can't find anything in the settings of the app specifically related to the LED. I just see the option to turn notifications on or off, but I want to keep the actual notification in my pull down bar. Is that possible, or no?
I keep getting a notification about google calendar sync being in progress. I have sync turned of? It keeps popping up like very hour? But I don't know what its doing. When I click it the notification just disappears?

I have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 and utilize the stock Calendar app - here I integrate several shared Google calendars, personal Google calendars and some other calendars i.e. Facebook & Exchange account.
Can I set default notification time & type (email vs pop-up) from within this app across all calendars, individual calendars, or not at all? If I open Google Calendar on a PC, I know how to set default notifications on a per calendar basis, but cannot figure out how to do it within this Calendar app.
So I got my first calendar alert today (for a meeting reminder from exchange). I heard an alert with a vibrate I never heard before. There was no notification what the alert was or anything. Only reason I knew it was that event is because it popped up in Outlook on my PC as well. Anyone else not getting notifications for calendar events?

However, the 'More Settings' options is not visible to me when i click menu in the Calendar. The options visivle are: agenda, day, week, month, new event, today, and manage. What's going on? I want to set a PIN lock on the phone so i can enable encryption. but if i do that, the biggest timeout i can set is 15 minutes. I was hoping there was some setting i could tweak somewhere to really increase the maximum timeout. I'd prefer it to be something more like 2 hours, or even a day.
I did see there's an app called delayed lock that'll do this for me, but I want to use the encryption on ICS and it says it wont work with encryption enabled.
Is there someway to increase the lock timeout?
Just to be clear - i'm not talking about the screen turning off - i'm talking about the phone locking and having to enter a pin. Once i boot up the phone I don't want to have to re-enter that PIN again unless the phone has been idle for at least 2 hours (or longer).
i'm having an issue with my calendar notifications and looking for some help.i'm running the default calendar app that came with the phone and it is properly synched with my google calendar. the synching is working fine; in fact everything is great in that regard. the problem lies in that when i update something from my computer.say, i'm on my home pc and put in an event, even though it shows up in my phone, my phone does not give me a notification of the event.i have done a couple 'test events' and it appears that when i update an event from my phone, i get a notification.but when i update an event from my pc, my phone does not give me a notification.

I've changed my ringtones on my Galaxy S to different custom MP3's for various contact groups. No problem there. I've changed my 'notification' sound to a custom mp3 from the settings/sounds menu. No problem there. But there calendar still plays the standard sound (I think it's called 'on time' in the Samsung sounds list) and I can't find anywhere to change it. At first I thought the calendar would've used the notification sound, but it never changes... so then I thought maybe you change it from within the calendar itself.
View 7 Replies View RelatedThe oddest thing keeps happening to me. Every now and then, my data just shuts off. It is gone for about ~15 minutes to an hour, then comes back on.
I recently bought a used Galaxy S4, and when I first bought it this happened about every day, then it stopped for awhile, now it just happened again (about 4-5 days since it last happened) so I figured I would try to find out what's going on.
But what's happening isn't making any sense. I have full bars, I have t-mobile on the top, I can make calls, and my data is turned on. It's just not working. Turining data off and on doesn't work, neither does resetting the phone. The only thing that works is waiting. When my data is on, I almost always have fast 4g data, I don't have any issues with connectivity.
I took a screenshot of my Settings screen (with private data removed) for reference. at first the only time this would happen is when I would leave a Wi-Fi connection. I figured the phone just was taking too long to "realize" i wasn't on wi-fi anymore and mobile data needed to turn back on. However, I turned off wi-fi for the last week or so and have been using mobile data exclusively. That's when it started happening less, it's happened about every 3 days since I turned off my wi-fi and about every 1 day before then.
My GPS doesn't lock even after 10minutes. I tried searching for GPS.conf file but there's no such file in mmx a89. Is there any file or solution to fix this error??

Since a few month my WiFi does not work properly. When I activate it, it automatically connects to the access point. But after 3 minutes, the connection stops working. The WiFi symbol in the status bar disappears and 3g starts working. When i disable and reenable wifi everything works fine again for 3 minutes. I already tried a static IP. Other devices (laptop) have no problems with the same network.
