I've just started running CM11 and I do like it. Nice and smooth with very little problems. How would I change profile automatically?
i.e when I'm at home the home profile is active, or when i Jump in the car and connect to Bluetooth the Bluetooth profile is activated?
I know this can he done with tasker, which is how I manage my profiles now. But I like the idea of my ROM doing this ?

Give thumbs up for this nice feature to switch cm-profiles with nfc-tags!! But I would like to go a step further: pure automatic. I think it would be nice to have an module which switches the profiles on defined events (just like the "nfc-event").Triggers for that could be:
* WLAN-Connection to special WLAN
* Position of the phone (display downside )
* NFC-Tags
* Position
* etc.
I'm looking for an app that will allow me to set up different profiles for phone settings that can be switched easily by choosing a "profile" from a list.I DON'T want Locale. i want to be able to do this by choosing from a list, NOT based on my location.For example, a user could set up a Power Saver profile, a Power User profile, an Online Profile, etc. Each of these profiles should be customizable. For example, I should be able to customize the "Power Saver" profile to the power settings I want (ie. Screen brightness, WiFi off, Bluetooth Off, Syncing Off, etc).Is there anything like this? Ideally I'm hoping for something that has a free version, as I am in Canada and we can't get paid apps yet.For the record, I am using Useful Switchers, but I don't want to have to go through all the various steps each time I want to go back and forth from power saving and using my phone online.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAnyone having issues with their phone changing itself to Silent mode? Every morning, I switch to Vibrate before I go to work. At roughly 9:00, the phone will then change itself to Silent mode without me doing anything.The only thing I can think of is that I used to use the app "Settings Profiles" to do changes for me automatically. I wasnt crazy about it though so Ive uninstalled it. The program no longer shows up for me so I dont think thats the problem.

i did factory factory reset, cache wipe, and davlik wipe after that flashed the Kernel Aroma installer, the rom and the gapps from this link.after i flashed them i rebooted and the phone doesnt pass the reboot screen, got stuck on it for few seconds and then restart and stuck again.
I want to install CM11. I have already installed cwm 6.0.4.5. All nicely, just that during the installation shows me a following error: error mounting storage/ sdcard0 . I know that a lot of these for topics, but I can not find nothing special. My smartphone is Samsung Galaxy Mini 2
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a LG P350 which development has stopped but i want to keep it updated, i have my computer ready for building, also i have kernel sources, Cyanogenmod 11 and 10.1 sources too, (I don't know exactly if 10.1 sources could work) and i know that i need to apply patches to work on Armv6 but i don't know how to apply them to the source code, also i don't know if i would just need the pure source code to build or i need to do more modifications to it and finally, i don't know if the rom would work with 2.36 kernel which it's the most stable one for this device, i'm very new in this but i know that i can keep update my little phone,

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was updating to CM11 using clockworkmod recovery v6.0.3.2 and experienced status 7 error. I now know that you need v6.0.4 to update to CM11.
I am now stuck with no OS in clockworkmod recovery and cant revert to the original CM10 as I get a (bad) error.
How would I go about updating to v6.0.4?
i am running CM11, a friend used to be, and we used WhisperPush to send encrypted SMS. He got the M8, now is not running cyanogen mod, and therefore does not get the messages i send to him b/c he cannot receive WhisperPush messages. If I unregister my device from WhisperPush he can receive them. His old phone with CM also does not boot anymore.
There does not seem to be an option to delete his identity key from my phone. How I can do that?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy Express i437, I used Odin v3.7 to root and flashed the CM11 ROM with ClockWorkMod recovery. Everything works fantastic, its so much faster than OEM 4.1 Jellybean! I bought it just to practice root & ROM for my first try (dont wanna brick my S4)....not bad for a cheap 4G Wal-Mart go-phone i'd say.
The only issue I found so far is that the external LED lights (menu and back) flicker non-stop, wasting a little bit of battery. It always stops the flickering by locking the device one more time, but sometimes I dont notice it when its laying around and it takes a toll on the power. Is there a way to fix it, and how would I fix it? I am just now learning about Terminal Emulator commands, and sideloading and whatnot. I do have the LED Light Flow APK controlling the lights on my S4, maybe it is obsolete for the i437 since I didnt notice LED notifications.

A friend wanted to know if he could use his android tablet as a headset, and after some searching it looks like quite a few people would like this.
So I was sondering if this is possible, I am new to Android development and I have been playing around with the Bluetooth samples and cannot seem to figure out how to make other devices see Android as a headset.
So my main question is- Is it possible to make a app that would disguise an android device as a headset so it could receive calls and maybe even dial number?
I would like to clarify if this is even possible with the Android SDK
The main use if i make this app is for people who can't afford the data plan that is required when buying a smartphone from a carrier. So if this person has a small android MID they can pair it with their dumb phone and essentially use their MID as a phone.
I'm trying to sell my phone (galaxy S4) that has a certain application on it that has now been removed from the app store. The profile I use on there is obviously my personal profile so when I sell it, I want to remove any trace of it while still keeping the app... Is this possible? If so is there any trick to doing it (I don't want to risk trying to just put a new profile on there and losing the app).

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently got my first Android and am really digging the Google contacts integration. Especially with the Google+ profiles (even though.. who uses Google+??).
One issue I have, though, is that some of my contacts have G+ profile pics, and they show in my Hangouts app (when I text those people), but those pics do not show in the "Google People" app where I go when I want to look at my contacts. They also don't show in my phone dialer when I dial them by name.
I keep receiving this error when I try to change my android central forum profile picture from the mobile app. Any clue how to resolve this?

I use MAP to see texts on my Toyota Camry. It's supposed to be able to read email as well. However, there are times where the MAP settings aren't saving and the look actually changes. In one instance I get this:
With this screen the settings won't save and messages can't be read. If I reset the phone, however, and go back to the MAP settings it will sometimes change to this:
