I'm trying to sell my phone (galaxy S4) that has a certain application on it that has now been removed from the app store. The profile I use on there is obviously my personal profile so when I sell it, I want to remove any trace of it while still keeping the app... Is this possible? If so is there any trick to doing it (I don't want to risk trying to just put a new profile on there and losing the app).

View 3 Replies View RelatedMe and a friend are trying to port a system app from the same phone but two different roms. Here's the situation. The phone is zopo zp998 and it comes with regular Android 4.2.2. Zopo is making the exact same phone for the Chinese market with on OS based on Android 4.2.2 that's called YunOS and it doesn't have Google account support so it's not usable outside China.
The YunOS has a black screen gesture feature that you can activate in the settings under display and then while the screen is Black you can make symbols on it with your finger and open specific apps. For instance if you draw the letter C the dialer will open.
My friend was able to find the system app for the gestures in YunOS and all its library files and put it in his rom. When the phone boots we can see that the gestures service is running fine but we don't have the option in the settings to activate the app. we can use on how to transfer a system setting and app like this? Is there another app we can use to trigger the on and off of the app?
Or if this is no longer possible as I suspect it may not be. Is there a way for me to switch external memory with eternal memory

I called to Samsung support in finland and they said that i have to format the sd card and after that you can transfer some very few applicatoins to sd card but however i have not managed to transfer even one application. I have tried app2sd and searched around the internet in order to find some way to transfer apps to sd card. I found from youtube some kind of way, but there was like downloading some program to computer and then connecting the sd card and phone separately to computer and then giving some commands to computer and copy and cut and clicking thousands folders and some more stuff i didnt really understand the whole thing was really complicated. I am starting to be really frustrated for this problem or whatever it is, its just stupid to even put this kind of faulty "function" to any kind of smart phone. In every other way samsung galaxy xcover 2 is very excellent and easy to use, but i think transfering apps to sd is very important function/tool. View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm very happy with how my Hero is set up at the moment, but there are a couple of apps which would make my life a lot easier, and conserve my precious battery!
Location based profiles using wirless location (and not GPS) I'd love to be able to arrive at work (or within 1500 meters of work) and my phone recognise this and switches on wifi, turn itself to silent, or choose a more suitable ringtone. I know that there are a few apps out there that use GPS to trigger, but this really kills my battery. I also know that wireless location isn't that accurate, but I'd only need ball park triggers anyway.
Time based app to kill certain features/apply airplane mode I've got Silent Time Pro, which switches my phone to silent at my bed time, but in an effort to conserve battery, is there an app which can also turn off wifi, GPS, auto updates and/or switch to airplane mode at specific times?
Does anyone have any recommendations for these, or do they not exist yet? Is it just me, or would these be quite handy apps?
If they don't exist, does anyone have a recommendation for me to set these profiles up manually, and maybe trigger them by means of a shortcut/widget? Obviously auto activation would be better, but I'm really trying to cut down on recharges, as it seems that my phones forever flashing orange at me!

I thought, I connect the device in "disc mode" and then copy the files over, but when I did so I only got an error message that this device contains an unknown file system and needs to be formatted before it can be used.
Should I do that? Will it then work in "disk mode"? I would have guessed, that Android uses some *ix-like file system.

I then uninstalled it from my G1.I went to Google market to download the installation file to my EVO 4G (which uses a different gmail address) but there is only an otpion to buy it again - there is no free/trial install file available to download to which I could add my product key to activate it. There is no trial download file available on CoPilot's website.I initiated a support ticket several days ago and have not heard from them. Seemingly they already have a procedure to do this as their FAQ says it is doable.
