Jun 25, 2013My texts sometimes hang on "sending". this almost always happens when i'm texting my two brothers. maybe it's something about texting more than one person? maybe it's something about texting them? and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
I'm using straight talk and my phone is all the way updated to the latest apps and android.

Feb 17, 2013OK so i just got this phone a few days ago and now I cant send texts or make phone calls but I can do everything else like use the internet receive texts etc. I had another issue earlier today where my phone shut off randomly and wouldnt turn back on when i knew it ha almost full battery. I took out the battery the sim and then out them back in no luck eventually i took out the s pen and it worked. A few hour later i got home and tried to send and text and no luck. Ive tried everything i cleared the Google services framework cache and text message app cache Ive tried another texting app and even restored it to factory settings. still same issue. What i can do next. I'm on Verizon and bought the phone off amazon wireless.

Nov 26, 2013I have a rooted T-Mobile Galaxy Note II running its stock 4.1.2 ROM (Eww, TouchWiz. I know). Whenever I text my mom through the stock messaging app, it looks like it went through on my end, but she does not receive the message. She's on an AT&T Galaxy S3 running stock 4.1.2 and also uses the default messaging app. I even get a delivery report on my end when I have the option enabled.
Here's where it gets interesting: she can send and receive texts fine to all her other contacts, and I can with mine as well. My girlfriend is on the same carrier and plan as me and has no issues texting my mom and I have no issues texting my dad who is on the same carrier and plan as my mom. There's something uniquely wrong with the way our two devices interact.
We have both rebooted our devices, cleared the app as well as system cache on both devices and deleted and re-added each other as contacts, all to no avail.

Dec 21, 2012Somehow I apparently changed the setting so that the woman's voice announces my incoming calls and texts from my contacts. I'd like to turn that back off and just have the whistle/ringtone.
I can't find it in the manual or online.

But every time I select my apk file for upload, the market upload website says: The icon for your application is not valid. Please use a 48x48 PNG. I have checked my image and resaved it in gimp at various dpi. I have rebuilt several times. I keep getting the same error. what gives? Is there a fix?

Since the measurements are to be taken at sequential times, the model contains a number of variables referring to different time controls. With the initial version with 2 controls the model run without a problem but when I extended the model to 4 controls it crashed producing the following error:

Dirk has encountered the same problem but unfortunately I could not see any solution to that. The extended PEModelOR method runs without problems in Java but it fails in the android application due to the dalvikvm verifier as far as I understood. The PEModelOR method is a description of a Bayesian Network in java and it simply contains definition of 62 variables and 62 probability distribution tables (in total 700 lines and the java file is 41 KB); below is a sample of the code (note that BayesNet is a class loaded via external jar):

Does the size/definition of PEModelOR cause the problem? I'm not sure how I can split it as it needs to be loaded at once for creating the network and running the model with available measurements. The thing is that this is even not the final version of the model, where the goal is to have 11 time controls, ending up with 112 variables and probability tables, and 1245 lines.
Is there a way out or alternative of implementing PEModelOR so that it does not fail at verification?

Feb 28, 2010Recently I downloaded, Pandora Radio, a local movies widget, a bible, task killer, and My Coupons. At that point, my moment started giving a low memory message, it began rejecting messages and voice mail. Basic phone and message functions turned off, and it told you so, all because of low memory, the blue tooth wouldnt function. At what point, is this low memory function triggered and override the functions of the phone. How long will it be before we can just store our applications to the memory card

General :: Blocking Calls In People?
Feb 12, 2012I have two numbers I need to block from incoming calls and send directly to voicemail. If I block in the default "People" app will it do this or do I need an app for this (no pun intended). I just need to know if the default people blocking will send a call to voicemail instead of ringing? Will it also block text msgs if blocked in People? I would test this out myself but unfortunately that's not an option. I only have one phone here, my cell, so I can't test from another number here at home.

Jun 17, 2012I am using two ics phones, Galaxy Nexus and Htc Sensation stock roms. I am trying to connect to my DVR devices through a 3g router using well known network ports numbers (>1024) for the dvr devices.
The network consist of 3 devices:
3g router: my domain com : 80
Dvr Device1: my domain com : 7687
Dvr Device2: my domain com : 5054
I can connect to the 3g router which is listening to port 80 from my android phones but not to the dvr devices using a 3g network.
But I can connect using the android phones if they are connected to a WIFI network or an Iphone (2g,3g,wifi), a Nokia symbian phone (2g,3g,wifi) or a Pc using adsl internet connection.
There isn't a port forward issue since I can connect from every device except android phones.

Sep 28, 2013i recently updated from ics to jelly bean 4.1.2 on my Samsung galaxy s2 on 02 uk network, i have noticed a few different issues since the update though regarding blocking calls and i notice the feature isnt as good since the update
previously on ics when blocking a number, once a number called they would be present with "dud a duh sound" which made the phone sound like the number was disconnected it would also not divert the blocked number to the voice mail
since doing a test on jelly bean when blocking a number, it now diverts them to the voice mail, and what's more annoying is once a blocked number calls it seems to one ring on my phone and then divert them to the voice mail, similar to as if i was cancelling there call every time, which is no were near as effective
ive just tried an app called mr number and this is the same, although this does have the option of a "hangup feature" and a send to "voicemail feature" again when the blocked number calls it seems to one ring and then either be disconnected or diverted to the voicemail, which again is like your cancelling there call every time after one ring
on ics when blocking the number they were never presented with the ring tone on there end, they were only presented with the sound of a disconnected line etc. How i can get that feature back???, without using mr number which doesn't do it as well
id like it to be like it was with ics, so basically the blocked number doesn't even get the chance to to be diverted to voice mail or to be not connected at all??? and certainly so it doesnt one ring on my end before the divert/block kicks in, on ics the blocked number never got that far, it was blocked instantly and presented with the disconnected sound, and then i was shown on my phone a log they had attempted to call., i also dont want to give the impression im cancelling the call on my end, as like ics, this was a good feature as certain people would just think your unreachable, know when a blocked contact calls with the new system under jelly bean it looks like your cancelling there call everytime after a one ring.
also is it still not possible to block text messages from certain spam numbers?

Aug 7, 2012I have a chinese Iphone copy (MT6573 processor, android 2.2) with a laucher that mimics IOS.
I'm having a problem with the phone dialer. Always when I originate a call, the dialer blocks the screen, what makes impossible to finish the call. The dialer app image is on screen but when I press the button to finish the call or the back button, screen just go black. When I press again, it returns to the dialer screen, but if I press buttons again, the screen is cleared again. The dialer just releases the screen when my interlocutor finishes the call or telco operator finishes the voice mail.
I installed GO Dialer EX and Espier Launcher, but the problem persist.

Jun 30, 2012I used AdFree on my Incredible. When I would run Wireless Tether, it would also block ads on my PC. I never even got a single YouTube, Pandora, or Hulu ad. I don't know exactly how it was done; it just worked.
Now, I'm on a rooted Rezound using AdAway. It blocks ads on my device, but not on my PC when tethered as AdFree did on my Incredible. I tested by accessing one of the blocked URLs in the hosts file...it was blocked on my device, not on my PC.
I thought maybe the webserver needed to be enabled, but no, that wasn't it. I've tried with both AdFree and AdAway, cleared DNS cache, etc. Is there some setting I'm missing in either Wireless Tether or AdAway? I know it's possible somehow; I've changed nothing on my PC and it worked perfectly on my Incredible.

Aug 31, 2010If I make a spelling error when typing a text but dont notice it until the text is finished it can be quite difficult to correct. Its a case of trying to insert the cursor by the error and then backspacing. This can be quite tricky. Or is there another way to do it? On my laptop there are directional arrows which allow me to take the cursor back through the text without deleting letters on the way. Is there an equivalent on the phone keypad?

Sep 14, 2010I'm launching an IntentService using startActivity from inside the onClickListener of a button. startActivity returns immediately. No blocking there. But the button stays "pressed" until the IntentService finishes its work. In addition, the screen does not respond to rotation while the IntentService thread is running. I can see that it's a separate thread in the debugger but the UI seems to be coupled to it. As soon as the IntentService thread finishes, the UI is unblocked. Any idea how I can prevent this and let the UI continue?
