General :: BQ Pascal 2 Stock Image Reflash

Sep 4, 2012

I am using a BQ Pascal 2 Tablet which is equal to the Odys Neo X7. I installed the german Version of the Odys Neo X7 software, because there was no german or englisch dictionary installed. The ODDYS software works without any issues, but there is also no dictionary included (confirmed by Odys Support)

So i tried to go back to the Stock software, which is a bit faster.I tried to restore the Backup, made with Clockwork (after formatting the device). no success. The device get stuck at the Bootscreen. The same happens if i will install the CyanoMod from this Forum.

The Odys Update uses the RKAndroid Tools to flash the device. BQReaders uses a file named image.img which has to be placed in the root of the internal SD-Card. The update starts automatically after a few seconds. The Odys-Software is not able to do this.

The Image-File from BQReaders is only only one file with a size of 315 MB, not divided in Bootloader / Recovery and so on.how i can go back to the Stock Software? It can be experimental, because i will be able to install the Odys Software by the RKAndroid tools again.

General :: Can't Seem To Fully Reflash SG Note 2 With Stock ROM

Feb 2, 2013

I recently purchased a Bell Canada version of the SG Note 2 (i317), I am on Telus so I attempted to Unlock the phone. I looked online and found people were having success unlocking these phones for free using the *#197327640# method, (whereby you go into the service mode, turn off the PERSHO_256 and then INITIALLIZ).

I tried this method and the phone then seemed to work with my telus sim, but only for voice, not data. When I put in a Bell SIM from a friend, both voice and data worked fine - which tells me its not a hardware (radio) issue. I also tried using another friends Telus SIM and had the same results as mine - which tells me it's not a SIM error. Also, all the settings in the mobile network area appeared to be correctly set up.

So, my next step was to try and reflash the phone to the stock Bell ROM and then just buy an Unlock code. I downloaded the stock ROM (2 different ones actually) and used Odin 3.07 to reload the ROM. I've tried it several times now, with both Bell ROMs and each time it says it's been successful, but the phone remains in the same, partially unlocked state.

It seems as though by using the PERSHO_256 method I have permanently, PARTIALLY unlocked the phone. I can't seem to re-lock it by installing the stock Bell ROM, and since it's unlocked, I can't get the foreign SIM error to come up to enable me to put in my purchased unlock code.

HTC EVO 4G :: SD Card Read Only / Recovery Image Gone / Cannot Reflash

Nov 11, 2010

My Evo is rooted, but I have lost my recovery image. Attempts to re flash recovery via ROM Manager and ADB both failed. I now have a task bar message saying the card is mounted read only. I put it in an adapter, plugged into my PC and ran Check Disk, which appeared to restore R/W status. I then put it back in the phone, rebooted and tried to flash a new image with ROM Manager, I have the read only issue again. I still have root, root apps still receive SU permissions, but I have no nand access and cannot re flash CWM or Amon.

General :: How To Install Stock System Image On Iconia A1-810

Nov 16, 2013

How to install a stock image on my Acer Iconia A1-810 tablet, I've been stucked in a bootloop, because I failed at rooting it, that i could partially solve using an update via the recovery (it failed but now my tablet can be launched at least). So now, I'd like to install a stock rom to make everything back to normal but I absolutely don't know how to do.

I tried via adb/fastboot but the commands aren't responding on the device.

Also the main problem is that it seems there are no custom recovery available (CWM) for this tablet.

Why I can't update my device using the OTA update (reboot + fail each time), I checked with root checker and others apps like that, no root detected (I uninstalled the root using the toolkit available here [URL] .........

General :: Gain Root On Stock System Image

May 6, 2013

I own a complete backup of all partition of the LG P990 with stock ICS, made it with nvflash with a command like this,

Code:

nvflash -r -read <-partition number-> my_partition.img

for all the partition listed in the partition table.

I guess that in someone of that raw image file, (outputted by nvflash), is located the entry system partition, (PartitionId=23 for the LG P990 ICS partition layout).

It's easy for every linux user to mount the raw image file, simply with 'mount' utility.

Browsing them we can find as already hypothesized the entrie android system partition!

If I copying in it the 'su' executable compiled for my platform, it could work?

General :: White Blank Screen After Reflash Star N8000

Nov 14, 2012

A few months ago I bought two N8000 phones and I was glad they came with full Hebrew menus. But now I bought a device that came without Hebrew.

So I tried to update the version with this method bm-smartphone-reviews.blogspot.it/2012/05/mt6575-flashing-tutorial.html#comment-form

And now the device turns on and works, but the screen remains blank white.

I saw on the forum that people have asked for the problem and you told them they have to replace the DSP_BL file and reflash

The problem is that the links are broken and I can not find the appropriate version for me.

I have tried full and partial update with many versions:12.06.12 firmware.rar
20120705_e1808_v75_jbl1.zip

I downloaded also this tool SP_MDT software fot flashing.rar But I was unable use it

I downloaded also this two packages, (Taiwan101_STAR-N8000_V.05-1.zip + Taiwan101_STAR-N8000_ICS_V.09.zip) but they are not suitable for use with SP Flash Tool v3.1216.05 (they not have scatter.txt file)

Question. Not that it really makes a difference, but for those that upgraded to 2.2 using the ROM in Rom Manager (Download ROM -> Stock Images -> Verizon Droid X 2.2) did your bootloader get changed to 30.01? The original bootloader for .604 was 29.01. When I upgraded using the update.zip to 2.2, it changed it to 30.01.

HTC EVO 4G :: Bricked After Update / Way To Reflash?

Jul 9, 2010

Been using my iPhone 4 for the past few weeks and finally broke the Evo back out to compare it for a few weeks. When I turned it on I got the notice for update so I did it thinking maybe it would help with the random reboot problem I had been having. Well after the update it sticks at the white HTC screen. I have tried all the basic fixes, held down volume/power, clear storage, recovery. When I clear storage it reboots and hangs at white screen again, if I do recovery I get a picture of a phone with a red triangle with a ! in it. Any way to re-flash the phone or something to get it working? I assume If i can get something on the little SD card but how do I do that when the phone won't work? I'd really like to not have to deal with getting it replaced.

HTC Desire :: Correct Partitioning Settings - Reflash Rom Again?

Jul 25, 2010

i have a question re the whole process. i used unrevoked to root my desire n used adamg's froyo sense w/o partitioning d sd card. upon boot up to the rom, i noticed that the internal storage has the same storage space left of about only 20mb which is basically the same as with the original rom. i now used rom manager n partioned my sd card 512mb for both ext n swap file. n upon restarting, it now has an internal mem of more than 120mb.

1. Are my partitioning settings correct? 512mb for both ext and swap files? If not, what should be the ideal setings and can please someone explain what ext n swap files are and what they are for?
2. Since I partitioned the drive 'after' installing the froyo sense by adamg, do i need to reflash the rom again?
3. I noticed that after installing a number of apps from Market, it comes to a point that it's stuck at 'starting to download' only after i deleted some other apps do i notice that i can download addtl apps again. is this because of the method i did in installing the new rom?

I installed the radio perfectly fine, but now unrevoked isn't working for me. I deleted all of the previous files and reinstalled them (sdk folder, usb drivers, reflash)

when i run the reflash tool, it gets stuck after rebooting, says "waiting for reboot..."

As the phone rebooted, it changed to "Flashing recovery image. Do not touch your phone!" but instead of into recovery, it just continued to restart the phone as usual
